That's the one 'negative' (and only one lol) with the BWI CL is that getting a standard CL boardwalk view is not guaranteed due to their not being a lot of them, I wish that there was a separate boardwalk view standard CL room category so at least you could book/pay a supplement and know 100% you would get one. :goodvibes

What you just posted was the main reason we went with their Deluxe Room, so we can get the Boardwalk View and the fact it was not that much more expensive then the Standard Club Level room.

We'll be staying at the BWI for the first time in November. DD is now a CM through the College Program and she was able to reserve a standard CL room with her discount; Deluxe CL was not available to her. DD put in a request for a Boardwalk view but the number of rooms seems very limited. Do you think she should have a secondary request for a Garden View/Paris? I am not sure if placing a CM in a nicely located room is a priority and I would be disappointed if we indeed had the ESPN satellite view.

Also, this is such a great thread :thumbsup2!!

CR--and you will LOVE all the extra room with the deluxe! That view (especially in the evening) and the additional room are wonderful! I just "worry" that you will compare BWI to your absolute favorite of CR, and BWI will come up short.

No way!! BWI wins hands down!! :thumbsup2

I am sure it's going to be great and I would know not to compare it a lot to the Contemporary since they are two different resorts. Plus even before we made our Boardwalk reservation I always thought it looked like a nice place to stay at and it was the only non Monorail Resort that I always wanted to stay at.

Just book for my Nov/Dec trip. We have never stayed here before or deluxe for that matter. What should I expect? Does anyone have a resort map? Do they give that at Deluxes? Where is the parking lot related to the rooms? We drive so I was wondering where the parking lot would be. We will have our kids with us (then 4 and 2 1/2) will this be a good choice in a resort for them? We will also have DXDDP which I am not concerned about where to eat but other resorts have the food court where they can refill mugs and stuff does boardwalk inn have one? Where do you go to get your mugs filled.

Sorry I have a lot of questions I am just hoping I made the right resort choice. :):confused3:)

What views do the BWV have? We're booked for Food & Wine Fest and also doing MNSSHP...SOOOOOO excited! My 2 daughters will have their own studio and we'll have another. They can come & go and I think the resort offers SO much entertainment and it's the PERFECT location. SO excited!

The BoardWalk Bakery is a sweet stop along the promenade at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Fresh-baked goodies, including assorted cakes, pies, pasteries and other confections, cost around $15 or less. (Fun fact: The miniature carousel in the lobby of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn was hand-crafted in the 1920s at Coney Island by M.C. Illions, a master designer and manufacturer of merry-go-rounds.)

No-Sugar Added Cheesecake
Makes 1 (9-inch) cheesecake

1 1/4 cups crushed sugar-free vanilla wafer cookies
4 tablespoons butter, melted
4 tablespoons sugar-free sweetener
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
3 eggs
1 egg white
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Seasonal berries and mango wedges for serving

1. Heat oven to 375F.
2. Combine cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch spring-form pan. Bake 7-8 minutes. Let cool completely.
3. Reduce oven temperature to 325F. Sift together sweetener and corn starch. Add cream cheese, then beat at low speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs, egg white and sour cream. Beat at low speed 1 minute. Stop mixer and scrape down sides of the mixing bowl with a spatula. Add the lemon juice and vanilla extract. Beat 1 minute.
4. Pour into prepared crust. Bake at 325F for 45-50 minutes or until firm and golden around the edges but still slightly moist in the center. Let cool completely.
5. Slice and serve with fresh fruit.

Hi all! We are booked for a Studio at BWV in September and are VERY much looking forward to trying out this resort! It has been my husband's number one pick since he first saw it. :goodvibes

I have one question that I haven't seemed to be able to find the answer too, and I apologize if this has been asked already - I attempted a search but didn't see it: Is there seating in the Boardwalk Bakery? Or is it just the chairs/tables outside on the Boardwalk?

We have been into the Bakery once, but that was on our first trip to WDW and I just cannot remember...

Thank you for your help!

No seating inside the Bakery itself....

I have a question about room requests. I read the thread about room requests and I want to make sure I'm right about the Standard View. I've heard that you can see some of the higher up Epcot fireworks from some of the standard view rooms. I wanted to make sure I wasn't inadvertently asking for an upgrade by asking for a fireworks or Epcot view. Is there a good way to phrase my room request?

We just returned from our 1st stay at BWI and had a great room view (we were a Standard View). :thumbsup2 The request that I made was "Upper Floor facing Epcot" and that is exactly what we had. We looked out over the quiet garden and could see Epcot's Eiffel Tower and the fireworks from Illuminations. It was a very quiet location, too (our room # was 5304).

Can you get a pool view with a standard view room? What should I request to be close to the pool and laundry room with some kind of view thats not the parking lot. Thanks
