It sounds like someone needs a new screen name!!! :lmao:

The GF was our favorite until we stayed at the Boardwalk Inn (CL Deluxe room, that room was awesome), and we loved it so much we bought a resale DVC contract with the Boardwalk Villas as our home. It really is special!

Yes I think I have found my home at Boardwalk Innkeepers Club! The rooms were perfect as well were the CM's in the lounge!

Maybe my post wasn't clear, I have never had a curtain dividing the bathroom from the room in a deluxe resort (it's always been an actual door), I was just stating that it seemed weird that their wasn't some sort of divider. From the pictures I've seen, it seems like it wouldn't be to hard to add a door (or even a curtain if that's really all they could do). At the CR and Poly the bathrooms were closed off from the rest of the room by a physical door so I don't really get why the Epcot area resorts are any different. You are correct that the curtains are common at the moderates. Sorry if my original post was confusing.

Most of the post I've read are folks complaining about the set up at CR & Poly. Many people prefer the sink to be outside of the shower so that the person in the shower has privacy but someone else can be using the sinks.

The set up is different from the moderates. If you're on the bed is a straight visual line to the sinks. At the BWI like CRFan said you can't see the sink area while on the beds.

Hmm, well even though the sink/bathroom situation will be something I'll have to think about, in the grand scheme of things I don't think it'll stop me from staying at the BWI one day. It's just generally we are all up and moving all around the room and it's nice to have some privacy when you are doing your morning routine, but maybe that's just what I'm used it and it might not bother other people. I'm still considering the options of where to stay and I'm certainly not going to knock the BWI out just because the bathroom set-up isn't ideal, I know we can deal with it since so much about the resort is just fantastic.

Thanks everyone for all the info!

Count me in as one of those folks that do not like the all in one bathroom...it gets hot in there! Its so much easier to have the exterior sinks and mirrors and the private shower and toilet.

Got it! Our take is similar to lovesdumbo's. Someone can shower, change, etc. in the shower/tub/toilet area (which is closed off by an actual door) while two others can use the double sinks outside the bathroom. So one person has the privacy of the bathroom while all the other bathroom stuff, like brushing teeth, washing hands and faces, etc. is going on in the double sink area. So for us, it triples the efficiency! I really like Poly and AKL - when you are in the bathroom, you have a lot more space - but the bathroom set-up is overall easier for us at BWI/BC/WL.

Good luck with your decision!

At some of the other resorts, the bathroom is still closed off so more than one person can use the space. Like at the CR, their is a tub/toilet area (closed off by door) and a sink/mirror area (closed off from the tub/toilet area and from the rest of the room by door) and that's just what we prefer.

Person #1 is in the shower, person #2 is doing morning routine at the sink(s), person #3 can be in the room/bed area still sleeping and everyone has privacy. That's ideal for us, but we will deal with whatever we have. I know people really do not seem to like the bathroom set-up where everything is open in one room, we don't mind that but it's not ideal. We like having the sinks outside of the tub area, we just also like having the sinks closed off from the bedroom.

Actually at the Contemporary their bath tub and sinks are right next to each other. It's the toilet that has a sliding door for privacy.

I thought AKL had sinks outside the bathroom?

The only time I stayed at CR the sinks and tub were in the same room. And I have to say I didn't like those sinks at all-too shallow and not enough counter space to put your "stuff".

I can't think of any Disney bathroom with 3 separate areas.

That would be perfect! We haven't stayed at CR yet, but that's a huge selling point!

We've only stayed at AKL once, so I'm not sure. In May, our bathroom looked like this:

Okay, maybe I'm wrong about the separate bathroom areas, we stayed at CR before the renovations, so it's been a good while, maybe I'm remembering wrong.

There are a limited amount of 'accessible' rooms at the BWI with full bathrooms, i.e. toilet, sink and bath all in the same room - my parents had one of these back in 2007.

Well after their room renovations in 2006 they changed the design of the bathrooms, so if you haven't stayed there since you haven't seen them in person.

We are booked at BWI in late Oct and cannot wait to go back!

My question is this.. how does the busses work at BWI - meaning is there a loop that the Epcot resorts do for bus pick up and drop off to MK? We are planning on going to MNSSHP and thinking of just using the bus rather than use our car.

ANy bus info is appreciated... and any input regarding how to get back and forth to MNSSHP would be great.

thanks!!
Mary

Hi Mary! Over the last few years we have noticed the YC and BC share a bus with the YC being the first stop.

THe BWI, Swan and Dolphin share a bus and the BWI is the first stop

We are also booked the end of Oct so we will see you there!

When going to the Magic Kingdom after the bus leaves it will then stop at the Swan and then the Dolphin before it gets there. However when leaving the Magic Kingdom the Boardwalk is the 1st stop.

As for Downtown Disney the Boardwalk is the last stop when going there since it will have come from the Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin. When coming back once again the Boardwalk is the last stop, although one tip you can do is get off at the Swan and walk back to the Boardwalk. My parents did that earlier this month and it was a lot faster then staying on the bus.

I can't say what resorts the Animal Kingdom bus shares with since that's the one bus I have not taken when staying there.

Ok, I will be using an ECV this trip, which buses will I have trouble with? Which places should we plan on driving? We didn't want to have to drive anywhere, but if BWI isn't the first stop, I may not get on.

We, of course, will walk or take a boat to Epcot and DHS.

Does anyone know what the wonderful scent at BWI is? We noticed that the lobby, halls and especially the room smelled heavenly. I know detectives on this board have figured out the scent at the GF and at the BC...how about BWI?
