How is the Club Level here? I am used to the Poly Club Level but get to enjoy it here for one night.
Well I have also stayed Club Level at the Polynesian and I think it's much better at the Boardwalk Inn. For example their Cast Members are simply amazing and the best we ever meet and this is coming from someone who has had multiple Club Level stays at the Contemporary, where as I only had two Club Level stays at the Boardwalk Inn. So basically it took a lot for us to be convinced at how great they are. Now we also liked their rooms and theme more, however the only thing where the Polynesian Club Level wins is that their lounge is a lot bigger since they have more tables.

Can someone tell me where the Garden cottage suites are located on property? I have looked at several maps and they are not marked? :confused3 Is there easy access to the Boardwalk?

Not walk out the door easy access to the BW, but not all that difficult either.

The Garden Cottage Suites are in the Courtyard area near the quiet pool at BWI. From the elevators near Belle Vue Lounge, you would exit the doors leading to the courtyard (left off the elevators). Down the outdoor staircase and follow the walking path on the left side of the courtyard. The Garden Suites are located along this path.

To access the BW, you simply go up the outdoor staircase past the elevators, down the inside staircase, out the side door, turn right and you are heading to BW. This walkway is directly beside Flying Fish.

BWI isn't all that difficult once you get the hang of the lay-out. ;)

Great! Is there a handicap entrance? My parents will be in ECV's?

Ok! Hello Boardwalk peeps! So I just booked one night in a Garden View Cottage Suite before we go over the the Poly! Can you tell me about it? Will 4 adults be comfortable in it? Is it part of the Villas? How far is the walk to the boat to EPCOT? Any details will be great! Thanks! :thumbsup2
I think 4 adults would be more comfortable in a standard CL room. I think the garden suites have a king bed and sleep sofa. In a standard room you would have 2 queen beds and a daybed. Or a deluxe room would offer you more room but still have 2 queen beds.

I've been to Poly CL 5 times but BWI CL has won me over! The breakfast at BWI CL is much better. The CMs are the best. I do have to admit that I enjoy the evenings offerings at Poly more but I'm more likely to be around for the breakfast offerings.

Thanks for the info! We are pooh sized people so a king bed will work better for my parents and I was told by IPO that I can get a rollaway so it will actually work out for us! I would prefer to be in the main building but the deal we got on it doesn't allow it to be modified and thats ok.

That is a good thing about the Breakfast because that is what we will get to enjoy here. We are only here one night and will probably enjoy the snacks in the evening but will definitely get up and have breakfast before heading over to EPCOT. After we are finished at EPCOT we head over to the Poly!

Btw... I have never entered EPCOT from the International Gateway... is there anything I should know? Does it open normal time like the front? Is it as crowded?:confused3

The International Gateway is a breeze to get through. If it is an EMH, the line does get somewhat long, but we have never found it overly crowded at all. It moves relatively quickly too! :thumbsup2 I suppose it really depends upon the crowds for the day, but entering has never been an issue.

The gates usually do open a bit earlier than 9:00 a.m. so that folks can make it to the front for rope drop. That, however, isn't written in stone because we have actually been held at the gate until 9:00 a.m. too. Not sure what the rationale for that might be. :confused3

Your parents will have to climb the stairs to get to the king size bed:
Two-level suite with stairs leading to a bedroom loft with king-size bed, a parlor with queen-size sleeper sofa and one-and-a-half baths.

You'll love the International Gateway. Far less crowded than the front entrance. The lines might get long a park opening but the lines in the front of the park at that time are worse. You'll love walking through an empty world showcase on your way to future world! So peaceful!!!

I have had it happen both ways too.

The first time I went to Epcot in December 2010 was a morning during rope drop so I could go right on Soarin, well I remember we were let in at the International Gateway entrance before 9:00 AM. One reason is we all have to walk into fountain area of Future World that's roped off, well on the other side was the guests who entered at the Future World entrance and those who came in from the International Gateway was on the other side. Obviously they want to make things fair because one reason for staying at the Epcot Resorts is being close and getting there when the park opens. Now I also remember those who came in from the International Gateway also got a little bit of a head start once we turned the corner when we walked towards Soarin, although I can't say that would happen the next time I am there for rope drop.

Just booked a WDW vacation to the Boardwalk villas from January 12-18!
We usually stay in a deluxe room at the BWI, but we were upgraded to the two bedroom Sonora suite in May, and loved the extra space! We are a family of five, and my mom will be coming along. So, we have booked a two bedroom villa at the Boardwalk villas!
We are very excited!
I am a little confused on one thing though, I hope this is not a dumb question!
We are not DVC members...will we get daily mousekeeping? I couldn't figure that out. Also, we have booked a two bedroom "lock-off" villa. What does the "lock off " part mean?
Thank you all so much!:goodvibes

If you made a regular DVC reservation through the Disney Reservation Center then you will get Housekeeping for everyday of your vacation.

The only thing I don't know what a "lock-off" is since I haven't stayed in a DVC Resort before.

A lock off two-bedroom villa is essentially a one-bedroom villa and a studio. It will have an adjoining door that connects the two parts, and they each have a doorway to the hallway. The studio portion will have a queen bed and a fold-out sofa bed, as well as a kitchenette (microwave, mini-frig, sink). The bathroom vanity is in the same space as the kitchenette. The one-bedroom portion has the full kitchen, as well as two bathrooms.

A dedicated two-bedroom villa has only one doorway to the hallway. The second bedroom (which is comparable to the studio space in a lock off) does not have the kitchenette or sofa; instead, there are two queen beds. In addition, the bathroom vanity is actually in the bathroom.
