Hey folks!!

Hey Piglet you are the one who said they needed sheets right? So many good back to school sales going on, hope you can pick up some good deals! I know Bed, Bath and Beyond had great sales and were sending 20% coupons!

For those of you struggling, I think it is great you are still posting here. I know for me, being aware of my spending is HUGE! I spent so long turning a blind eye to it and spending freely. So I think just keeping track and doing the best you can at the moment is a positive thing.

Yesterday was a no spend day and today should be as well, more thunderstorms are supposed to roll through so once I get home for work, I am in for the night! That will put me half way there, 6/12 no spend days!

July 1 - $6 for ice cream for me and DD, $10 lunch Chick Fil A

July 2 - 98.45 at Walmart - that includes groceries for the week, cat stuff, paper products and toiletries. If I can keep this under $500 total for the month, that would be great!

17.68 Sonic for lunch

July 3 - groceries 20.38 (meat and stuff)

July 4 - 3.03 McDonalds

July 5 - 16.93 lunch, $3 snacks at the pool

July 11 - Walmart (groceries and paper goods) 88.65
School supplies - 9.00

July 12 - school uniforms 111.90:teacher: (but I have to return one more that she changed her mind on. Plus when I got home there was a $10 off $50 coupon in the mail from Academy Sports - where I just bought all my stuff. I called and they said I could bring in my receipt and the coupon and get my ten bucks! So the total will be around 95-ish)
school supplies 53.67
birthday gift 9.00

I'd hate to see any of us give up.. we are only human, and this is a vacation month, and kids out of school month. I am heading into a spending minefield after this week.. an overnight at Disney this weekend, and a 3 day visit from DD later in the month with a Harry Potter day. I will consider myself successful if I just make it under budget- even if it is only by a buck! :-)

Yes, I was looking, thank you! I found a twin sheet set yesterday at Walmart for $7. I also got a $15 vacuum!

I do not think I am going to make it to 15 $0 days. It was going to be tight even before I found out the in-laws were coming. (This was a decision made last week.) Oh well. At least next month I go back to work early in the month (I teach) and I should be able to stay out of trouble easier. :rotfl:

OK, I am back from being away and ready to rejoin!

July 13- We bought gas and breakfast on the way, but I didn't pay attention since DH paid and it was still vacation to me. But, I did run and get a few staples and something easy for dinner cause I am tired! So, groceries $26. I will have to go get more but I was too tired to face a full grocery shopping today.

Side note, yesterday was the Bon Jovi concert. It was the most amazing experience I have had in some time. I feel like I am on a high. We sang, we danced, we had an amazing time. That was the first time DH and I have ever done anything like that together. My last concert was in 10th grade, NKOTB. I ws dating DH back then but he was stationed in Germany so he didn't go (not so sure he would have anyway) and he went to see Roger Waters last year but I am not a fan and his best friend is so they went. I felt so alive there, it was a blast. I loved it. I was bad and bought a $45 t-shirt! :scared1: On the way I told DH I may buy a tshirt and hoodie if they wern't too much, :lmao: . That did not happen. I also soooo wanted to get my Bon Jovi loving kids these shirts that said "Mom Mom went to Bon Jovi and Never Came Back" but at $30 for DD8 and DD11 and $40 for DD15 I took a picture of them and showed them instead!

Anyway, I am back and going to hopefully get back on track, though really I spent very little while away. Some school clothes and shoes for the kids, but all on really goo sales and all stuff they needed.
