~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

I have no desire to watch a rodeo but if it what he does and he loves it why not continue? Race car drivers, skiers, and many other dangerous sports have people get injured and come back.

Cops who get shot or firemen who have accidents continue their dangerous careers. Many soldiers get injured and go back into the field.

If it is what you do it is what you do.
If you get seriously hurt doing your job then it just might be the cosmos telling you to find a new career. I feel the same way about your other examples ... so at least I am consistent :rotfl:. And ... in the interest of full disclosure my BIL is a firefighter who was injured and had to take a desk job.

I finally saw the latest episode and aw.........

I saw in March when I was reading The Asian Reporter (lol, don't ask) and they had a feature on He Pingping and his death in Rome. It's so sad :(. It made me sad seeing him during TAR.

For TAR,

I'm totally rooting for Brent & Catie! They are proving to be a stronger team than many would think and I do love an underdog. Of course any remaining team besides the Cowboys are underdogs, but I just like Brent & Catie for some reason.

HEY KAY????

where you at? you've been MIA since last show

Oh and robinb-I keep seeing your beautiful dd's photo in your sig and I could not figure out who she reminds me of. Well, I just figured out that she reminds me of Kate (Evangaline Lilly) from Lost!
Thanks so much! I know the actress from Lost and just looked up a photo of her and Celia does smile with her eyes the same way :).

ohhhh that sucks - but hey - think of it this way.

for once you're ahead of us Lol :) :) :) ;p

Haven't had much to say until now, but since you asked...

URGENT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Do NOT read the next issue of TV Guide!!!!!

The cover is light blue, with, possibly, Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth on the cover; its dates are May 3 to May 9. The cover story is about season finales.

Well, May 9 is a Sunday, and you know what airs that Sunday, right? It's not in the story, but the spoiler IS in the regular TV listings. So, now I unfortunately know the outcome of this Sunday's race. I want to save you all - at least those of you who don't like advance knowledge :( - the same pain.

Why would they be so careless?

Sorry that they did that to you. :(

Luckily I don't read the TV Guide. Shame on them for spoiling the Race for lots of people.

Nah, I can live with it - I just wanted to warn others, especially TV Guide subscribers. I don't think anybody else will get it before Monday... I hope; and by then, of course, everyone will know who's in the finale

i can't believe how super easy that road block thingy was for the cops.

that first couple had to spend hours and hours trying to figure out morse code and they had to toss a few coins in a statue???

talk about letting them off easy to make it a close race

It was a speed bump and speed bumps are fairly "easy" compared to regular tasks.

The couple that had to do the morse code got a U-turn which makes them go and do the other detour after having completed the first. Totally different "road sign".

The other speed bumps during this season of AR have also been fairly "easy".

Caite was a bit moody this episode, but I do have to say--good for her. And I can only think of one reason her game improved. Not having someone be snide around her all the time about her intelligence might have something to do with it.

Not sure if it was editing--but I was impressed with how easy it seemed they navigated the city.
