THE AMAZING RACE 15, Season Starts 09/27/09

We have Harlem Globetrotters tickets for Dec. 27 here in Columbus. My kids can't wait.

The Harlem Globtrotters are going to be in Green Bay Dec. 30th.
I got tickets yesterday, I sure hope they will both be there.

Where? At the Resch Center? Did you get tickets online? Mmmm. I think my grandsons would enjoy that very much.

We saw the Harlem Globetrotters a couple of years ago. It was a blast. Have fun at the games!

Is this a show that a 14 and 15yo would enjoy, too, or is it geared more for the younger kids?

If you recommend it for my kids, I'll check to see if they're coming around here again.

My kids were just 9 and 3 when we went, but the adults and the 9yo liked it more than the 3yo. I think it appeals to all ages, but we are basketball fans and of course, you know your kids' tastes best. It's like going to a regular basketball game, but one team does all kinds of crazy moves, tricks, and comedy. They even had some kids (probably age 8-16 or so) come onto the court to teach them some tricks before the game, but it was Scout night, so that might not be something they always do. I would take teenagers if they were interested.

Thanks for this info. I'll check to see if they'll be local and I'll ask the kids if they want to go. To me, it sounds like they'd be interested.

Check it out...

Most Evil Reality Show Villains on TV Right Now

'The Amazing Race'
Villains: The Brothers McMillen
What Makes Him Evil: On any other season of 'TAR,' they'd merely be "oh, those guys'; but on season 15, aka 'The Amazingly Friendly Super Nice Race,' the brothers have declared themselves the baddies. Yet despite jostling with the Harlem Globetrotters and stealing Miss America's cab, the bickering brothers save their meanest moments for each other ("Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"). Their double-crosses have been so singularly tame (and always with a moment of après-scheme guilt), that ultra-bland Cheyne -- aka "that blond guy with the blonde girlfriend" -- might even get a few alternate votes in the villain category, for overuse of the word "awesomeness."

Russell from Survivor is on top of the list..

I have been pretty underwhelmed by the show this season. I'm not sure what is going on. Was it a bad edit? The challenges don't seem to demanding either. I don't dislike Meghan and Cheyne (even though she spells her name wrong ;) and his name is just weird), but I am getting sick of them winning. I hope Team Zebra wins.

She didn't spell it wrong--her parents did.

But I have seen that spelling before. His name--it's like his parents wanted to name a girl Cheyenne, but since it was a boy, they took out an "e" and the extra "n".

:lmao:

If I had been born on my due date, I would have been Noel. I wonder if my mom would have been fancy and spelled it Noelle? Hmm...

I work with someone name Meaghan. I guess her parents just couldn't decide!

Another vote for Team Zebra!

The princess bugs me - can't cheer for them

the brothers are unlikable - can't cheer for them

the funny name couple are plain jane but have run the best race - go the team with funny names.

I had a friend in college that spelled her name Meaghan. She pronounced it Mee-gan.

I have a Megan (Meg-an) and her principal insists on calling her Mee-gan. Drives us all nuts. I could understand if we spelled it weird but we did not. I do a lot of "Well MEGAN does this and Megan does that and she STILL does it!!

MEE-gan is the worst. I cringe and sometimes just ignore people when they say that.

My family pronounces my name MAY-gan, but most everyone else says MEG-an. Those don't bother me and I don't even notice it most of the time, but it drives one of my cousins crazy!

My coworker pronounces her name the same as me.
