THE AMAZING RACE 15, Season Starts 09/27/09

Love that interview! They are certainly classy guys! Wish they could have stayed in, but he never would have gotten it if he thought he'd tried that answer already. Silly mistake that cost them. Sad.

They were on Bonnie Hunt today...again class acts. Sorry, I can't find the interview online.

They'll be on the CBS Morning Show on Saturday morning. They always have the last couple eliminated on the next Saturday.

That makes sense. I noticed when Brian showed up big easy told him that he was there for over 2 hours and on his paper he had a bunch of writing, but then your mind gets tired and you don't know what to do anymore. Still a bummer. They might not be well educated like other teams but they have class, good heart and awesome people.

Also I wonder why to speed bumps are so easy now, I remember back when Mojo and the hippies race, the speed bumps were harder.
They didn't have speed bumps when Mojo and the hippies were racing. That was when Phil took all the team's belongings and money. The speed bumps have only been around for the past few seasons. Though they do seem a lot easier.

I like that the speed bumps have been easier. I think it makes it a little more fair for the team that is required to do the speed bump, giving them a real fighting chance rather than just spending another leg on the race and being sent home anyway.

Ohh I was confused with the other thing cannot remember the name, but one team could slow another team down.
But yes, the speed bumps are easier now. My bad.

I agree. A little 'penalty' that is not demeaning (begging for money), and still a chance to move along. :thumbsup2

They both have a college education.

Not only demeaning to the team, but also, they were forced to beg from people who have literally nothing in some of the countries they were forced to do it. I was more upset about that than the demeaning of the racers.

It just goes to show you that even when people have nothing, they are willing to help out the next guy. Many times, it's probably more than the richy riches would be willing to help.

I remember when one team need it money and the 'frat boys' where the only ones that didn't share their money with the team.

I was so sad that the GT's were eliminated. And DH and I couldnt figure out how he couldnt get that combination of letters. Then i read an interview today on People with them. And Big Easy said he had written down all the combinations and "Franz" was one of the ones he had written down. He thought he had already used that and it wasnt right, so he wasnt going to try it again. So he would have really been there a long time trying to figure it out! They are such good sports about everything though and I really think they are one of my all-time favorite teams now. They said they really enjoyed the race, and I think they really mean that.

I just dont want the brothers to win. The other two teams are fine with me.

I cheated and read the thread before I had the opportunity to watch.

BE did have a comment during the episode when he was not able to figure it out that he had so much written down and he couldn't tell what he had used or not. I don't recall the exact quote, but it did catch my attention. (on his clue I even saw FARNZ, but it was so quick and I never relooked to see if I could see FRANZ in his zillions of combinations he had written down.)

I agree--much better than losing your belongings and begging. I really didn't like that, though some teams were able to get past that.

I forget what that was called. I like the "extra" challenge beng something easy on the speed bump.

They had 2 that could slow someone down--one was a timer where they couldn't start the task until they waited and I thought the other was that they'd have to go do the other detour. Anyone remember that?

I personally do not like other teams impacting a team in that manner. I just like regular racing and the penalties that Phil provides.

***************

Episode: They show Meghan and Cheyne getting off the bikes--and only them. I imagine that once they were in 140 below for 2 minutes that their core temps will drop so the bikes are just want anyone would do who goes to that facility to make sure they are properly warmed and not at riskf or hypothermia. Just guessing though.

The brothers are nasty--I can't stand them and I hope they don't win. They hypocrasy is astounding and they would have been livid and blaming the GT if BE had found it first and screaming so loud in ranting over it that their mommy and daddy would hear it all the way back home. Funny how they think they can beat Meghan and Cheyne but the GT who they have beaten more times made them too scared in their baywatch skivvies.

And I was laughing at Erica's comment after being called out on the American attitude. I really felt for her b/c folks were bugging her and she seems to be the kind that really gets irritated when folks are up in her face. I don't really blame her and if it is considered a bad American attitude to not want drunks all up in your face--I'm okay with that.

U-turn?

I'm OK with that, too! :thumbsup2 I would have been so annoyed with those drunks and I loved how she told them off! :rotfl:

The Harlem Globtrotters are going to be in Green Bay Dec. 30th.
I got tickets yesterday, I sure hope they will both be there.

In the interview, they said if they won, they were going to give the million dollars to charity.

I like the GT's but I really don't think that they would have gave the million to charity, I think that that's just chatter. :rolleyes1

I thought at the beginning of the show they said they were playing for someone there know that was sick....maybe it was going to research or something like that. :confused3

Because like the others said I am sure they didn't need the money that bad.

Flight Time and Big Easy said on the Bonnie Hunt Show that they will be glad to be part of the North America tour so that they could thank the fans who have supported them during the AR.
