I must say that I feel like I have healed a lot over my mother this past month, I miss her still every day, and I dread this fall for the burial, but the rawness seems to have gotten a bit better.
It sounds like this visit with your Dad was just what you needed. I'm glad to know you are doing better.
My roof is still not finished, but thanks for asking. There is only a small area over the laundry room to be done, but once again, it is raining here this weekend. I'm sure the farmers in the area are happy, but we've been working on this roof forever.
Dinner tonight was delicious Nutrisystem chicken & dumplings for me & for DH I grilled 2 lamb chops. He loves lamb & I don't like it all all so not a temptation at all.
I grilled yellow & red peppers for both of us & some carrots.
Tomorrow we are off to Cape Cod & a lobster roll & martini will be headed my way!!!!

Have a great time in Cape Cod! And your idea about dinner is what I do when I'm on a diet, except I usually have to do it for dessert. When I'm on a diet and my husband wants dessert, I make something I hate, like peach cobbler.
Well I still feel lousy. I am achey from my shoulders up and just yucky. My dinner was popcorn and I have no idea what anyone else ate.
Buddy cannot go fishing tomorrow, somehow there was a scheduling error at work and now a grading crew is working so he needs to be there in case a machine breaks down. I felt badly becasue he has not gone out on the ocean for 3 years. (He caught nothing then either)
I'm so sorry for both of you. I hope you feel better soon and I hate the Buddy has missed out on his trip. Even if he was just planning on using it to catch up on his sleep.
I just shipped Tom off on a man-date, which is good so I can finish packing in peace and in a little while I have to take Riley Bean to be boarded...

I may try and sneak an hour or two at the pool today as well.
I think dropping off the furry baby is the hardest part of any trip. I just keep thinking as I'm typing this that you will be in OKW this time tomorrow. Boy, am I jealous! I hope you have a wonderful Anniversary and an all around great vacation.
Hi you all. I am so groggy after a loooooooooooooong night. Yesterday my husband had been complaining of an odd stomachache all day. When he left work, he went to the walk-in clinic, worried because it may be his appendix.
After an exam, blood test, and urine sample the couldn't rule it out, so they sent him to the ER. He called me and I headed up there. This was about 5:45.
We got home and in bed at 1:30 a.m. Oy.
It wasn't his appendix, not sure what was wrong. But by the time we left he was feeling normal. So I'm keeping an eye on him.
I have no idea WFD tonight.
I hope it was one of those weird kind of things that pops up but doesn't come back. Get some rest today.
Have a magical

trip and Happy

Anniversary.
Give me all the details on OKW when you return, we are strongly considering changing to OKW for our September trip now. We have never used our points for there, and I think it looks like a nice relaxing place for the cheap points.
I am so envious...enjoy!
Ann
Ann, we love OKW. So much so that I can't get my husband to try anywhere else. As Lauren said, the rooms are HUGE! The laundry room is really a room and we use it for all our dirty clothes, wet bathing suits, and to store our luggage. The balconies are large enough for a table for four with room to spare and the living room is the size of ours at home. But what Kenny and my father like most about is it that it is off the beaten path. It is so quiet in the mornings that my Dad commented it was like being in another place entirely. A lot of people don't like that about it and want to feel like they are a part of Disney the whole time, but we like that we are able to escape the bustling parks to the peace and quiet of our villa.
WFD - Shrimp boil with corn and sausage!!
One of my favorites. Yummy.
Have a great trip, Lauren, and happy anniversary!
We are heading to Beck's today for a sleepover. She is planning a giant garlic fest, so we won't have to worry about vampires.
Have a good weekend everyone!
That sounds like lots of fun for you and the kids. I hope you all have a great time.
I'm planning on making chicken and pork fried rice with egg rolls tonight. I still have not perfected the fried rice techniques... sometimes I nail it and sometimes it sucks.
I know the feeling Aimee. My fried rice is exactly the same way. I don't know why I can't make something that seems so simple.

Good luck with yours.
I don't know what we're doing for dinner tonight. I've had stomach virus type symptoms all day and quite frankly, don't plan on eating anything. Kenny's children are back with their mother, so it is just Kenny and Hailey to worry about feeding tonight. Maybe he'll get take out for both of them.
