I was in room 4822 and I had a gorgeous view of bay lake! It was absolutely perfect! And I could see the water pageant! I also liked being able to walk out of my room and see MK from the lounge so I got the best of both worlds! If I could afford it, I would stay at CR again. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was very clean! It was wonderful! :)

I didn't read through all 200+ pages of this thread, so my question may have been answered... sorry if that's the case. What I'm wondering is where the walkway from BLT to CR is in relation to the room numbers? I'd like to get a room close to the walkway and CR, and that's what I'll put as my room request, but I'm just wondering, as I look at the room maps, where will that put me? Thanks!

The thread for BLT is http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2257082
It has a great map and wonderful pictures of different rooms and views.

I was wondering did you have any issues with the Resort Monorail?

None at all really! The only thing was that we stopped for traffic clearing, but that was very rare. I think it happened only twice? But it was only for like a couple of minutes. Nothing major though! It went smoothly! :)
That's good to know and if being stopped for traffic clearance is the only thing which happened then I would take that all the time. The reason I asked is others mentioned problems with the Resort Monorail breaking down and I that happened to us a few times in December 2009 and August 2010, so it meant longer lines at the Contemporary Monorail station with one Monorail out of service. Plus in December 2009 we were at the TTC when we were told to exit the Monorail we were on because of a problem. Then a few days later at the Polynesian as we were walking to their Monorail station and were told the whole line was down since another Monorail went out of service.

None of that ever happened. I think only once there was an inspection, but I'm not sure. It didn't last that long though. There were times when it seemed like we waited a long time for a monorail, but it wasn't terrible. I'm glad I never experienced what others had experienced in the past. It seems to have been fixed from my experience.

Last year we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I didn't make reservations for every night. Sit down dinning was a major issue. Spur of the moment change of dinning is not desirable. How bad is it at the CR? I hate making multiple or fake reservations to keep my options open. I think it's rude.

Unfortunately, there is no real "spur-of-the-moment" dining anywhere at Disney anymore (unless, of course, you're willing to eat dinner at 3pm - then you *may* have a shot at getting in without a reservation). Your best bet is to figure out where you're going to eat, make the reservation, and then make your plans around getting to your reservation. Good luck! :thumbsup2

California Grill and Chef Mickey's would be the hardest locations to get ADR's. As for The Wave I think they are the only location where it would be easier to get an ADR, although maybe it won't. My best advice is to go on the WDW website to make your ADR's and see what restaurants are available.

Hi all,

If you read my other thread we decided to stay at CR for our July 2012 trip. I'm going to make my room only ressie now and then book the packages in August (if available).

We plan on booking two rooms. Both in the tower and one with MK view and one Bay Lake view. I have two questions:

1. I am booking the Bay Lake view so that I have the option of viewing the Water Pageant from the Balcony. Can you see the Water Pageant from every room and if not, how should I word that in my request. I understand these are only requests.

2. What should I add to the MK view room other than "high" floor.

Thanks so much for all of your help!

I don't see why you couldn't see it from every room. Though I was on the 12th floor so it was easy for me to see. The CR experts will be able to accurately answer your question though. I saw quite a few people on the balconies below watching it though.

1. Yes, you can see the EWP from every BLV room.

2. If you want your bed to face toward the castle (as you sit in it) you could request an odd numbered room.

Don't forget in the Bay Lake View rooms you can also see Illuminations, however it will be from a far distance and nothing like watching Wishes.

Thanks for the compliment:goodvibes. I thought the photo was great, too. You're welcome to copy/paste it into your signature. I reduced it from the original to better fit my signature block.

Here is the link to the DisneyParks Blog where I found it:

The article says that it's a Grumman Gulfstream 1 (G1). The blog has an interior photo:eek:. Oh, and the photo makes a great desktop image;)
