Keys to the kingdom groups?

I booked a keys to the kingdom tour at 9:30 when there was only one opening. Using Stakeout app, I was able to add my son and DIL in a separate reservation also for 9:30. My question is, does this mean we will be in the same group, or do more than one group go out at 9:30? Do I need to call Disney to make sure we are together?

We did the tour in August and everyone with an 8:00 tour time was in the same group. I would call to ensure though just to be sure. I've only done the tour once so not sure if our experience is the norm?

I also recommend that you call to check. When I did this tour a few years ago, I seem to remember that there were lots of people in other groups also checking in as we were checking. I don't know if that means there are multiple groups for a given time, or if other people were checking in for other times (e.g. a group every 15 minutes).

My wife and I have a 9AM tour for our June vacation. How is the park entry since the Magic Kingdom opens at 9AM? Is there a separate entry? Any recommendation for when we should arrive?

You will be completely fine. Disney will open the gates to guests around 7:45ish as Early Theme Park Entry will begin at 8:30. All guests are allowed into the park once the taps open. You can proceed to the tour meet up which is at Town Square Theatre.

For a 9AM tour I would want to arrive at park security around 8:00 - 8:15AM. I'd rather be 15 mins early than 5 mins late and at park opening there is no way to tell how long the lines will be at security, the taps, etc. Also, your KttK confirmation should tell you what time they want you to arrive. I can't remember if everyone needed to be ready to start the tour at 9AM or, arrive at the theatre at 9AM and then start to get ear pieces, take pictures with 'the key', final restroom break, etc. I'd check your confirmation for that information and plan to arrive at MK security 45 mins before that.
