Thank you soo much. Some of these pages & threads I did peek at before, but the DVC thread is very helpful. October is sooo far away! ;) Thank you again!
I figured you might have seen most of them, but maybe they can help some BLT lurkers out there;)

Have a great vacation and it looks like you'll be making your ADRs soon:)

Okay...we are booked for a garden wing/garden view room the week after Thanksgiving using the 40% PIN. There are three families going and we have three little kids. Is it worth upgrading to the tower? Just worried if we are in the wing that I will wish we were in the tower...

...And if you're in the Tower you might wish that you had a MKV or were on the Atrium Club level or maybe in a 1-bedroom villa at BLT or...:rolleyes1

I think you'll be very happy with the GW GV and you'll be saving some money, too:teacher:. If the price difference is negligible to you, then by all means, see if you can all upgrade to the Tower; we love the Tower's BLV rooms (and they're the least expensive Tower room;)).

I don't think you can go wrong either way. Request a ground floor GW-GV room facing Bay Lake and the 3 kids can walk right onto the patio and run around with the ducks or walk a few steps to the beach. Or upgrade to a Tower room and you'll be hooked::yes::

Let us know what you decide:)

Well how much time do you plan on spending in your room, because that's something I would consider if you plan making a change.

You're both welcome:) IMHO, those GW GV rooms are a hidden gem and a great value when compared with other monorail resort room rates.

While we weren't at WDW (waaaaay too crowded this time of year:crowded:), we had a great Spring Break and the weather was gorgeous. Now that we're back, I thought that I could focus on our upcoming WDW vacation:), but the Fed. Gov't has different plans and has tentatively selected my DH for deployment to Iraq which would send me back to the WDW vacation drawing board:sad2:

Welcome home!!! :goodvibes
Sending good thoughts your way as you await final confirmation of the deployment

We just returned from a 5 night stay in a two bedroom at BLT. It was fabulous. Only complaint was the slippery floor when you enter the building from the sky bridge after a rain. We would have never noticed the small crack in the hall bathroom door if we hadn't known about it before we arrived. Rooms are huge and the ELP went past our room but noise wasn't a problem if our doors were shut. Enjoyed the pool two days and grandchildren loved the slide. The entire building is beautiful and we would definitely stay again.

Sounds like it was a very special vacation for your grandkids. Thanks for posting your review, Disney grandma. Did you place any requests in your reservation? Were they honored? Someone just yesterday posted a question about the 2-bedrooms. I'm sure they'll be pleased to read your review.

We're doing the very same thing! Garden wing, garden view 40% off week after Thanksgiving! Maybe we'll see you there!

Thank you for your kind words, Cinderumbrella:)

Hmm... I just noticed you have another birthday :cake: trip in a couple of months. Is this one a surprise 7th birthday? I still don't know how people can keep secrets like that; I couldn't do it:hyper::hyper2: Especially the ones who actually tell their kids they're going to grandma's and the kids don't know they're at WDW until they're driving up to the MK entrance:car:::MickeyMo - that's nuts:squirrel:

We did not place any requests. When we checked in, the room we were assigned to wasn't going to be ready until late afternoon. Our grandson had been sick so we asked if any other room might be available, and they immediately checked and we were in a room within about an hour. After we arrived in our room, someone knocked on the door and asked us if everything was okay, and if our room view wasn't what we wanted, they would try to get us another room. We were on the 3rd floor facing the pool and lake, with a few trees blocking the pool view. Since our grandson was sick, we stayed and enjoyed the room and view very much. All of the staff at BLK were very friendly and helpful.

Yes, Disney grandma, I am delighted to see you had a nice time with your Grandchildren. :goodvibes I was the person requesting pics of a two bedroom. Did you happen to take any? I would love to see them if possible.
Thank you again for sharing your review. Just makes me even moree excited to go...

Nope, not a surprise this year!! Keeping that secret last year was one of the hardest things I ever did!!!!:rotfl: DS is like his Momma and likes "planning" too much. He has been involved in every aspect from start to finish (including his BRILLIANT idea to go to Cali Grille twice since we love it so much! :goodvibes).

My only "secret" is that he thinks we are staying in the wing again, but I secretly booked a MK View in the Tower!!! :dance3: We had a castle view room at the GF last December, but we were at the very end of the building, so we only saw 50% of the fireworks :headache: I am looking forward to an unobstructed fireworks view this time. :wizard: We are early risers most days, so we will be back in the room by 10pm most nights to watch. And we are VERY excited for the return of the P&P fireworks this summer!!! pirate:

I did take a few pictures, but I don't know how to post them.:confused3 There is a video on youtube under two bedroom dedicated Bay Lake Tower that shows it in detail. The guy is kind of goofy but I just muted a lot of him! We loved staying there and know that you will too.

Thank you for the nice review DisneyGrandma
We go to BLT next week April 14th in a one bedroom can't wait :lovestruc
We are staying one night at the CR Atrium club then going to BLT
Does anyone know
How long does it take to get to the Yacht Club Resort from the CR I was thinking about going to the Captains Grille.

You have a few options:

~Ride the monorail to the TTC then switch to the Epcot monorail and then walk from the front entrance of Epcot to the International Gateway between France and England right to the YC.

~You could also take the bus from the CR to DHS and then walk or boat to the YC from there. The walk is actually faster, about 20 mins. total, whereas the boat can take 30 mins.

~Take the MK walkway from the CR to the buses. Get on the YC bus.

Either way, I'd leave at least 1-1.5 hours prior to your ADR, just to be on the early side.

Yikes I didn't know it was that complicated I think I will stick with the Wave reservation that we had I just didn't know if the Wave is very kid friendly my kid ar 6 and 10

EVERYTHING at WDW is kid friendly - even CA Grill and if they're over 10, Victoria and Alberts. You'll feel very comfortable at The Wave with your kids.

I didn't mean to make it sound complicated, I just wanted you to know all your options. Personally, the way I would do it is to go to the YC on an Epcot day. That way you're right next door. Just walk from Epcot to your YC ADR and then when you're done, head back out the front to the monorail to the TTC and on to the CR:)

My kids are a little older, but LOVED the Wave - they both had the kids linguine and loved it! But, if you want to do the Captain's Grill it is not complicated at all - just get a bus from the MK to the Yacht Club.
