Hello,
We were just there the 15th-22nd. They are still showing movies but now it is under the BLT walkway. I don't fully remember all the movies but I know they were showing Princess and the Frog and HSM. They also had some really great pool side activities mid afternoon!
Have a great trip!
That seems like an odd location to be showing the movies. Did you find out if it's only for a short amount of time or it's staying there for sure?

Hello
I thought I would post some feedback from our recent trip March 15-22nd. It is a little late because my DD(2) ended up with pneumonia down there and still is recovering.

So our trip. It was fabulous:cloud9::cloud9:

We requested an odd room away from CM. Last March we had a MK view room 11th floor but Chef Mickeys side. It wasn't that loud but when we would try to have an early night with our little ones it was a little distracting. This trip we had room 4548 - 9th floor MK view last room above fantasia. I had hoped for odd room but I really didn't mind. The view was amazing I didn't really notice a difference from the 11th flr to the 9th but being the last room closest to MK made a difference.

Our first day was a long one we were at the Montreal airport for 5:30 am. Our flight was supposed to be at 8:00 but was delayed and then again in the air so our flight went from 3.5 hrs to 4. But when we finally arrived at MCO we walked straight onto a ME bus. :woohoo: But then I remembered that CR is last stop so after WL, Poly, GF we were finally there (2:10 pm).

But our room wasn't ready so we went up to the Contempo cafe grabbed lunch and waited. BTW - lunch was good - DH had burger and fries, DDs had pizza and I had the lime chicken burger and green beans which is good but way too much bun! And my DDs were all to eager to eat my worms in dirt dessert  Getting excited as we watching the monorails coming and going :goodvibes At 2:50 our room was ready. We freshened up and walked to MK.

I must say all the CM were terrific! Right away DH noticed the safe was closed and not working so we called to have it fixed. 3 days later nothing. So we were carrying a good amount of cash and DH wallet in our day pack. Well on the boat back from WL my DH didn't noticed until the boat pulled away from FW that an intoxicated gentlemen got off with our pack :scared1:

Lots of drama later - the pack was eventually returned (without the cash) and the hotel sent up a Marie and cookies for my DDs. The staff was great.

Mousekeeping however not so much. We requested that our room be cleaned early as we come back form naps. Well we only had mousekeeping 3 times because they waited until the 1.5 hrs in the afternoon that we were in our room eventhough we left at 7 am. And when it was cleaned it was no more then bed making and towel refreshing (not even any characters). our toiletries didn't even get replaced. This was one of my complaints...

The other is rather an annoyance. I found it bothersome with the stroller to get an elevator (that had room) down to the 4th flr then take another elevator up to the 5th for the monorail. We tried once to just carry the stroller but the escalators are a little narrow. But I guess that is why we walked most days!!

So after my few grumbles we did have some great moments. Did CM twice - fabulous! My DDs had a blast in the splash area and endless fun on the beach and by the pool (more great CMs).

I had some great shopping fun in Fantasia and was able to use our remaining snack greats for easter snack in BVG and the marketplace (which I loved). We traveled very light so it was nice to be able to buy a bottle of wine and/or some snacks for the room.

4 nights DH and I enjoyed Wishes from the balcony while our DDs crashed it was well worth the $$ for the MK view. Even after wishes and earlier in the morning I loved watching the castle light change. And my dds loved looking out in the morning plotting our adventures...

I love the CR, we had a great trip and will definately go back...
:thumbsup2
Thanks for posting your review.

So excited to be staying at the Contemporary in May. This is our family's 1st time to Disney (my 1st since 1990) and we decided to splurge and stay here. We love that it is not a theme hotel and looks so classy.

Love all the photos and information you provided. It helped us decide to stay here.

We leave tomorrow morning for the Happiest Place on Earth! I think I am more excited than my kids and they are over the moon!

We will be staying Atrium Club Level and will be going to Chef Mickeys, Donalds Safari Breakfast, Hoop De Doo, Wishes Dessert Party, Cinderella's Royal Table, Bibbiby Bobbidy Boutique, 1900 Fare for Dinner. I've also planned an in room celebration for my girls birthday surprise.

I have been pleasantly surprised thus far with the IPO service. I have sent several emails and have had replies within a couple of hours at the latest. I was also pleased with the Disney Florists that I ordered the in room celebration from. I had initially thought I would have to order 2 birthday packages to make my daughters happy and they took one package, ordered a few extra items and turned it into a surprise for 2. I was happy that they didn't just go with my thought that I would have to order 2, but instead saved me money.

I can't wait to get on that plane tomorrow morning and I will be super excited to step off it and get started on the vacation that I have dreamed of for months. Thanks to all on this thread and many other threads that have guided me to what I believe is going to be our best vacation ever!

Do they show movies and have pool activities year round at CR? We have a Nov/Dec trip and am wondering if this is something we should be looking forward to!

Yes they are shown on various nights through out the year, so check the schedule of activties when you arrive.

Ok, my TA called WDW and there is garden view garden wing available for my dates next year! I was wondering if you can see the EWP from any of these rooms, and if so, what would you request? If no EWP, what would you request if you want to have a decent view of Bay Lake?

IIRC, the garden view rooms look inward, the ones that look onto Bay lake are water view I think. You can always step out to the boat dock to view EWP if you desire.

Hmmm...the only categories to book for garden wing were standard view, garden view, or garden view deluxe...maybe the water view ones are the deluxe rooms? :confused3

So to confirm, there are no garden view rooms in the wing that actually face Bay Lake?

I believe the Garden View might give you a partial view of Bay Lake or maybe I am thinking of the Contemporary marina, so hopefully someone will confirm this.
