*sigh* I'm starting to think I need to make a spreadsheet of all these restaurants I'm reading about on your trip report and suddenly want to try. So far you've sold me on the CA Grill brunch and apps at Jock Lindsey's.
In all serious, though, I've heard nothing but amazing things in regards to the bread service from Sanaa; it sounds like a Must Do for any WDW fan. I'm glad it was a wonderful experience for you, despite the scallops not being anything to write home about.

Isn't is amazing?! I think the secret's out, but it's still relatively easy to get an ADR there. Maybe being a bit out of the way at Kidani makes is that way.

Over cooked, then. There's an art to cooking scallops. And it's a fine one.

I like it in a smoothie. I LOVE it in the Olive Garden soup. And have a bag in my fridge that I use to toss in a dish I cook now and then. But, tbh, I'd rather eat chard or spinach for leafy greens.

I have read so many good things about the bread service at Sanaa. It's not a place the ladies in my life are likely to go, so I will probably have to leave it for a solo trip, or maybe convince DW to do it on an adults only trip. I used to enjoy the naan bread very much when I was overseas and I have never been able to find the same quality locally where I live. I suspect Sanaa would come close to authentic Asian standards.

I think they do have menu items for the less adventurous eaters out there so they may enjoy it only for the animals while you and wifeypoo try the African and Indian-inspired items. I had the BEST naan in Dubai at a Pakistani place called Ravi's. It was perhaps the best meal I've had in my life. They were cooked on a huge tandoori and served hot and soft. MMM!

1:50 is a good place to start if you don't wanna watch it all.

This is why you can't find the same quality much, if at all, closer to home.

Oh nooo! This is one of my fears. So far we haven't forgotten a meal yet.

I don't think it'll happen again. But it's easy to do if you get wrapped up in the fun where you are.

It's so peaceful there and such a restorative way to spend a meal.

The thing that really upsets me is the Maritimes (I grew up in PEI) are not represented at all!

And that's not right. I don't know enough about the other country's to know if there is a fair representation of the various areas and cultures in their gift shops, but by the amount of stuff ONLY I'd have to guess they are more thoroughly represented than either the US or Canada.

Com visit! During the year I am about an hour north of Toronto and in the summer I have a cottage on the south shore of Prince Edward Island.

I'd really love that. Someday I'll take some trips that are less Disney.

It is totally enough for two. On my 2017 trip, I gave it my best effort but only managed about 1/2 and was SO full! I think DH and I will split it and go for the big salad as well.

I approve of this plan. Enough, but not so much you feel overly stuffed.

Kinda? Beets are the best example I can give.

I'll chime in
For me, it would be more of the hand crafted stuff that most people wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. Admittedly that may not be practical due to supply and importation, but it's nice to think it could be done.
Being Epcot, I'll start with the obvious - alcohol. There are lots of unique craft breweries popping up like Quidi Vidi beer, Newfoundland Distillery (gunpowder & rose rum, seaweed gin), a very unique Iceberg beer, rum & vodka (yes, made with 10,000 year old iceberg water, that would be something different)
There are unique edibles like partirdgeberry and bakeapple jams, chocolate from Newfoundland Chocolate Company, biscuits and cookies unique to the province from Purity Factories or Trinity Bakeshop.
Then you could get into hand sewn/knitted sweaters, mittens, hats, hooked rugs, quilts - all of which are a dying art, but seem to be lasting a bit longer around here.
Maybe even artwork showcasing East Coast scenery. Or jewelry made from Labradorite.
None of this is likely very practical, but it would be nice to show people that there is more than beaver butt soap and hockey pucks in Canada.

I love all of those ideas and I DO think it could be done. Furthermore, I think people would buy it too. I love the idea of the Labradorite jewelry as I too have thought of Oregon sunstone jewelry for representing Oregon at the American Adventure Pav.

What I don't get is... why aren't they at the very least selling maple syrup? Quebec is responsible for 70% of the world's maple syrup. And... nothing?

Well they do have the maple popcorn- a start. But for sure!! Or maple sugar candy.

A "did you know" section on each province and territory showcasing information. For example....did you know Prince Edward Island has 365 beaches? One for every day of the year! PEI has the warmest swimming water north of Florida due to the proximity of the Gulf stream to the Island. Potato vodka would be a great sell, blueberry wine, beautiful pottery, jam, art etc.

Just having PEI on the Canadian map at the pavilion would be a good start!

As another Canadian with a unrepresented province, what do you think would represent Manitoba?

This is perfect!! I love that and find it outrageous that an entire province isn't even on the map. EPCOT was supposed to be educational, but that gift shop is truly the ridiculous.

Manitoba... hmmm... honey, jams. Perogies! Hmmm... we’re home to some of the world’s best beluga whale watching and the polar bear capital of the world. Just off the top of my head. Souvenir gold or silver coins. We mint coins for over 30 countries. For little girls dreaming of becoming ballerinas, shoes and tutus from Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

I'll be very curious to see if you ever make it to any of them.

I think it is one of the best out-of-the-way hidden gems in that direction. Definitely worth leaving the park for, or doing lunch at Tiffins and dinner at Sanaa. Or the other way around.
