Question...

We are booked for a GG, 2 rooms standard view.

I'd love to request the following in our ressie but have no idea if it is even possible!

Ideally we would want adjoining rooms, queen beds and quiet pool or courtyard view.

does such a scenario exist?

Thanks!

I'll be at YC 10/24-10/29 (woohoo!) in a standard room. I occasionally check availability on Disney's website just out of curiosity and it is showing no standard rooms available for our dates (rack rate or special offers). There are water view and club level rooms available.

It seemed they were holding rooms back earlier in the renovations schedule because it was months before we were able to get our reservation there. Do you think they are still holding some of these rooms just in case they fall behind schedule? Or do you think the resort is really filling up?

This obviously won't affect my vacation at all, I'm just curious! :)

Thanks for all the great info. First trip to bcv and Disney for me, dh, dd(almost 2), and her grandma. Staying in 1 bdrm starting 11/11/09-11/16/09.
Anyway I'm not sure we'll use our snack credits on ddp. What is available near beach club for snack credits. Anything that might work for breakfast?

Also I have a conference a few mornings at bw inn. How far is the walk over there? And of course any other helpful first timer hints!

BC Marketplace has bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt parfaits all available for ddp snack credits. We really liked the cinnamon rolls there too! BWI is about a 5 minute walk.

Woo hoo, just changed from AKL to YC waterview room for next May :cool1:

Have stayed CL before at YC and other resorts and whilst generally really enjoyed staying CL, I feel (having stayed CL at the YC) that the current prices are more than I really want to pay for the benefits offered so have opted for a waterview room with the deluxe dining plan instead.

Has anyone any recommendations/favourite areas to request for a waterview room?

Thanks

Hey Clare!I am headed for a split stay at YC CL and AKL CL in December. REally anxious!!! I can't believe I ventured from my boardwalk inn! But the renovated rooms got me and the AKL CL rate I got was unbelievable. Too good to pass up!!! Less than 3 months away! Will let you know how it goes - you might consider a split stay...Melissa

Hi Melissa :wave2: LOL that's how I feel too about the BWI but the travel company I have booked through (I'm not going through Disney direct this time) want another few hundred $ to stay at the BWI over the YC :confused3 I'd originally wanted AKL but as it's just a 5 night stay this time around (I'm staying onsite at Universal before I move to Disney) I felt I'd be better off in the Epcot resort area which is my favourite.

I look forward to hearing how your trip goes, and don't forget the photos :thumbsup2

We've had some really great waterview room at YC. We requested 1st floor, lakefront view. We were near the small laundry room and the side entrance. That was great because we were a few doors down from the side entrance so we didn't have to go traipsing through the lobby all the time.

BTW we're doing the same thing - instead of CL we're opting for the deluxe dining plan. The only thing that would change that is if the 7/4 offer was extended to next year. Then I would change to the deluxe CL BC room (for the extra space!).

Clare - good choice. I would opt for Epcot area any day too but my DD always squeaks a night or two from me for AKL. She loves it there. I enjoyed my June visit to AKL but wouldn't want to do more than 2 nights there...That is just me personally. I am anxious though to try YC and I sure will get pics at the holidays for you! :):woohoo:

Hi! I am a DLR veteran planning a family trip to WDW in Nov 2010!:cool1:
We are probably going to stay at the BC - the kids love the pictures of the pool!:thumbsup2
Anyway, can anyone tell me if the rooms at BC have been recently renovated? The pictures on the 2009 Vacation Planning DVD show fairly dated rooms, especially compared to the POLY rooms, which is our 2nd choice.
Thanks for any info!!

Just curious if the rooms have all been refurbished at the Yacht Club.

Also, if not, do you know if the 5th floor concierge rooms are refurbished?

Staying there Nov 14-22nd so was just curious. And if so, any photos?

All the BC rooms were renovated last year, YC (from what I've read) is just finishing their renovations. The rooms look completely different than the planning videos. You will LOVE BC!

On the laty page, someone said that they started on the first floor.

I'll be there next week, really hoping for a refurbished room.

Does anyone have the link for the Yacht Club that shows the locations for the standard rooms, etc?

Has anyone every used the tennis courts? Not that we will have time (whirlwind 4 park days trip) but if we do we thought we might hit for a bit. Just wondered if anyone else had done so. We are driving so would most likely bring our own raquets.
