I haven't stayed there yet but I read on allearsnet.com that they now have hairdryers and coffeemakers in each room.

Yes. There are hair dryers in each room. They are on the bathroom wall next to the sinks. They are even strong enough to handle thick hair as well.

Iron and ironing board are included in each room, along with a 4-cup coffee maker and coffee supplies.

Hey Topper, do they replenish the coffee or is it a one time deal?
Thanks,
Bill

They replenish it. Although they're a bit mean with the sugar. On the first day, we had Mickey's "Really Swell" coffee. On the next day we had "ordinary" coffee, so we asked the maid if we could have "Really Swell" coffee instead. We got the "Really Swell" coffee from then onwards.

Thanks Carl. This is the 3rd time I've been booked at FQ. The other two times it fell through. I wonder what will happen this time.:)

I am wondering and read through quickly but didn't see clarification on this:

Which buildings are now smoking rooms at POFQ?

My PassPorter (2003) says buildings 2 & 6 but I read here it was 2, 4 and upstairs 6 (or something like that about 6)

Do we know which are? I would request a non-smoking building.

Are there quick snacks and sandwiches in a refrigerated area ? Does anyone have any pictures of the food in the food court?

Yes they have some quick snack items at Fodd court, I'll have to search to see if I can find photos.

I found this photo of POFQ dont think I've ever seen a aerial photo of it before

Help me with dh. With this new code, POFQ is now what we initially would have paid at POP (yes, we got it lower with AAA quickly of course). DH sees it as look how much cheaper we can now get POP with this AZZ, I see it as wow, we can now stay at a moderate! Somebody(ies) help me with convincing arguments for POFQ. I think his main concern is transportation, but help me please! I know ds (11) will love the slide, but we will do a day at Typhoon Lagoon.

I just stayed at Pop and it was a wonderful resort, but one of the things I didn't like was the sheer amount of people because of the size of the resort. It was crowded on all of the busses, in the food court, and the store inside of the resort. The transportation was good, but I believe that the bus transportation at POFQ is also good.
We went in July during one of the most crowded times of the year, but others have said that this resort has been staying full because of the newness of it.

If your husband dislikes crowds, you could use this as a reason to go to POFQ because it is a much smaller resort. Pop has 2880 rooms and POFQ has 1008 rooms available.

I also have an 11 son and he enjoyed staying at Pop, but is excited that we are going to try POFQ next year because of the slide.

My nephew (13) and I are leaving first thing Friday morning to spend 9 nights at POFQ.

Anyone have any thing you'd like me to find out or questions you'd like me to ask?

I too will be checking in at POFQ for nine nights at POFQ. Can't wait.

" maine_jennifer" If you can take pictures and find out what kind of quick snacks they have in the food court I would be grateful. Something like sandwiches or fruits, chips. Whatever they have. Thanks for any info that you can bring back.:wave2:

We are going at the end of August, so I am really getting excited. I was wondering if someone could suggest the best building for me and my husband.

I had to convince him to stay at POFQ instead of POP for the price (we used a code). I would like the building to be quiet yet convenient to the main building and bus stop so he can see the added bonus of this resort.

We have previously stayed at POP and CBR.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Lori77, the truth is none of the buildings are truly INCONVENIENT. I suppose the ones surrounding the pool area would be considered the most convenient. The ones to one end are closer to the bus stops....the other end closer to the parking lot...we faxed over a room request to be near the pool/hot tub about 3 days prior to arriving and got a room in building 2 overlooking a lovely courtyard. Don't worry about requestion a vew....my personal feeling is it's a waste in a moderate resort, because you usually have your drapes closed for privacy....not like you have a balcony to sit out on, you know?

dawgfan, you will love POFQ, and we'll miss you at the TAGLIARCHY::yes::
