are you sure this address is correct. And they have a boat go to Downtown Disney? And the phone number is correct too.

:joker:39 days until I check in at the French Quarter :joker:

My DD and I arrive on Oct. 3 for 5 nights. We're going to MNSSHP, Food & Wine Festival and paricipating in the Race for the Taste. It'll be a great Mom and Daughter get away

The address is correct:

Port Orleans is located at 2201 Orleans Dr. Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000. The phone number is 1-407-934-5000. The fax number is 1-407-934-5353

Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus. I mean, yes Jenny there is a boat to DTD. :lmao: Keep in mind, it will not run in bad weather. So use the bus then. If you notice a man behind the wheel of Grant, tell him I said hi.

We leave in 6 days!! :cool1: I'm so in need of this vacation not to mention I'm jonesing for Disney. It's been 3 whole months since we've been!

I'm (obviously) new to this thread and just wanted to say hi!

I can't believe I read all 1324 posts, phew!

I booked my first solo trip to WDW, and am staying at POFQ (requesting Building 6).

Thanks for all the great pics and information. 215 days is just way too far away, but subbing to this thread may help me get through!

Thanks.

Hey!

I just returned from 5 nights at POFQ! This was our second stay at the resort after staying there two years ago! It was nice to be back at POFQ after staying at POR last year.

We were in Building 1 to the left of the main building ....with a "courtyard/parking lot" view which actually was AWESOME! We didn't have people constantly walking by our room ....and we had VERY short walks to get food and the bus stop!!!

The busses were the only slight hiccup in the trip. While we were always the first pick up and sometimes didn't even go to POR ....the trips home from the parks were always PACKED. While I guess it would not be cost effective, they need to have seperate busses for each resort.

Here are the pictures, ENJOY!!!

Also, please check out my post in the trip report forum and REPLY with your favorite pictures out of all that I took!!!

Have a good one!

It used to have it's own at MGM too, not just MK. But keep in mind CBR only has one at each park. I just realize that any resort is going to be super crowded at closing. I normally just linger in the park after closing to compensate for it.

Anyone know if POFQ has connecting rooms? I've requested connecting OR adjoining rooms for DD's familyso we can be near each other.

Yes, they have connecting rooms.

In our experience, we've had 2 rooms w/ 2 double beds that connected w/ parking lot "view" (couldn't see the parking lot b/c of the trees really) on 2nd floor of bldg 3. Great location when we were traveling w/ Dear Aunt (she was 73 at the time).

We've stayed in quite a few king bed rooms at POFQ and I don't remember NOTICING connecting doors.

EG

Thanks DAniece, I am hoping for connecting, not adjoining, so that's just what I wanted to hear. (I know requests aren't guaranteed). I did request ground floor standard view, easier for us and ground floor does not bother us. We had parking lot view last time....not in the room long enough tocare about the view! We were too busy enjoying the grounds, food court,& pool. Thanks for your answer.:)

I was wondering, do the buildings have elevators? I can't seem to find this info. My sister and I are thinking of taking our mom for 3 day trip before Christmas and she is not good with stairs.

Yes, there are two elevators, side-by-side, located at about the mid-section of each building.

And indeed the above phone number and address are correct, but the phone number listed on page 1 of this thread, with the basic info for the resort is incorrect - it will get you the Swan & Dolphin. 1-407-934-5000 is the correct number - just called it.

We just booked last night and the only thing the kids want to know is how late the pool is open. Does anyone know? Also, do they close the slide at night? Looks like we may only get to swim at night and my youngest DD has her heart set on that slide.

The secret to night photos is long exposure. Or in the case of my little Pentax Point and Click, a mini-tripod and "Night" Mode. I'll post more as I dig them out.

Yes, the pool is open at night, but I do not know how late. We swam one night and there were no lifeguards and the complimentary swim vests you can use were locked up. The slide was closed. BUT, that said...we had a ball...only a few other people in the pool. My grandkids were so excited to be able to do " night swimming" as they call it. I did have them worried that we wouldn't be able to go night swimming after all because I forgot to pack the "moonscreen", and I didn't want them to get a "moonburn". ;) Our waitress @ 'Ohana played right along, and said that "moonburns" could be nasty! It was one of my better GOTCHA! moments.:)

Thanks for the reply! That's a funny story!

Bumpin' up! I will be on my way to POFQ in less than 23 hours.:cool1: :cool1:
