Hi lissiesmum.
The photo you found is a different fountain than the one in the photo I found of the bicycling family. In the photo you found, it looks as though there are "frogs" on the sides of the fountain and the water sprays from their mouths; in the photo I found there are no frogs on the sides of the fountain.
When I go down there in 10 days I'll look around some more, a lot more, and see if I can find that fountain (the one you found a photo of).
ETA - I'm a little surprised no one else has piped up to say they know where the froggy fountain is. Anyone?
The froggy fountain takes a bit of searching to find (unless you happen to be in the "right" building)...
I believe it's in the "courtyard" amongst buildings 7, 6, and 4 -- towards the parking lots NOT towards the river.

Abby's Dad we are right down the river from you-Marine City!Small World!
We are going to be at POFQ end of Nov.![]()
Have agreat trip!![]()
How crazy is that? Used to have brother-in-law that lived in MC. We'll make sure to leave everything nice and tidy for you - thanks for the good wishes, check out our trip report when we get back, and you all have a wonderful time!
TP, if you could find it in TEN DAYS (you lucky girl!) and let us know what buildings it is facing, I would love to know so I can request it when we go. It just looks so peaceful there and I am a Pisces and am always drawn to running water (for some reason, I like the views of the fountains over the views of the river)
I can't wait til TP gets back with new pics and exciting stories...we can all live vicariously through you until we get our turn!
Wow, who would have thunk a picture could be surrounded by so much mystery? I didn't even notice the frogs on the sidesTP, if you could find it in TEN DAYS (you lucky girl!) and let us know what buildings it is facing, I would love to know so I can request it when we go. Ok, new pics, yeah - but exciting stories? I am about the most un-exciting person you will ever meet on these DIS boards. Im a nearly 55-year old, "fluffy" but not Pooh-sized, 5 foot something-and-shrinking-as-we-speak granny wanna-be (my sons have yet to find the young ladies that will be my daughters!).
Well, when I think about it, there was the time:
- last spring when I tried to body block a mountain of a 6 foot whatever guy to keep him from jumping the line in the Nemo ride at Epcot (I lost)
- also last spring when I was riding BTMRR with my DSis and centrifugal force pushed me against the side of the car so hard I literally tore a chest muscle (thats what the doctor at the ER clinic said). Thank goodness Ive been divorced for years and dont have a DH to explain that to.
- again last spring when I caught a major throat bug and wound up back at the same ER clinic, seeing the same doctor, who said that if this is what happens to me on vacation he would hate to see what my normal life is like
- when my youngest son was 4 years old and my (now ex) DH took him on Mr. Toads Wild Ride while I rode with DS 9. Turns out my DS 4 was afraid (no, more like terrified) of the ride (no, we didn't know he would be afraid) and screamed the whole way through, and I couldn't stop laughing about it. It was only funny because it was happening to DH and not to me
- last year when my DSis and I were walking down the ramp from the monorail to the MK when some looney Dad in front of me decided to stop right in the middle of the ramp and all those people and pour cookie crumbs from a package into his DS (about 5) mouth. My DSis and I both dodged them, and under her breath she said, Twit. The looney thought I had said it and pursued me the whole way to the security gates yelling at me, What did you call me? You stupid b****!, Turn around and talk to me!!!. When I was about to go through security I looked at him and said, Have a magical day.
Im sure you get the idea.
Nope, nothing exciting ever happens to me.

Too much! Those are some stories that you wouldn't expect to hear on your average WDW vacation! Those are the best kinds of stories...sounds like our Mexican Riviera honeymoon...most people come back with "the weather was beautiful" "we had such an amazing time" etc. We had way too many crazy stories, but they are ones that we'll never forget and ones that probably not many others share![]()
This was a wedding/honeymoon trip that won't be forgotten!
Do any of you POFQ die-hards know when was the last time the pool was closed for refurbishment? I am going this Friday to AAA to book my Sept. 08 trip and the pool is hugely important to us. I know we can use the pools at POR...but really want to use the POFQ pool. We stayed at POFQ last year in Sept...got the free dining (praying for that 2008) and fell in love with POFQ.
I thought that after staying @ WL I would not be happy with POFQ. Boy, was I wrong! I hope someone can tell me about the pool AND that there are rooms when My daughter and I go to book this Friday. ( I have to wait for her to have time off...she wants to be there...aaaargggh)Wish me luck!![]()
Im planning on buying the refillable mugs but I like to mix my ice tea or lemonade with water, do the have water with the fountian drinks?
We are only 11 days from staying here for the first time and I can't wait. Time seems to be standing still.![]()

I have a quick question, are there microwaves in the room? And if not in the room are there microwaves in the food court? Just curious, I know there are coffee makers and refridgerators.
Thanks! I'll be livin it up at POFQ in 4 more days!
