I saw that you were going in less than two weeks! You are so lucky. Post away any pictures you have. I just showed my DH and we are both drooling :) Have a great time, and can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!

I have tons of photos, since I've stayed at POFQ 4 times, but below are just a few of my favorites. Can't wait to take some more when I return.

Tink's Pixiedust: Last night you made my night with the nighttime pictures, and this morning the first thing I see are these gorgeous photos of POFQ. Now thanks for making my morning. I am closing my eyes and I can just see myself walking those grounds with a cup of coffee in hand, breathing in the morning air, looking forward to a refreshing swim or heading out to the parks. It's official. I've finally decided on POFQ for our trip.

I did have one (and I'm sure I'll have plenty more) question though. I was thinking of requesting a corner room as I like the idea of having an extra window, but I notice in some pictures that the corner rooms that I see are right next to the stairway. I was wondering if this makes these rooms noisier because of people going up and down at all hours. I was also wondering if there are corner rooms not near a staircase? Thanks as always and have a great day everyone :)

OOPS! One more thing. I was wondering if there were benches or places to sit out in the courtyard? I can't recall seeing any pictures of that as far as I can remember.

I think I am booking FQ this afternoon, but I am lost as to if I should request a building. It will be me and SO. Looking for quiet, but not too far of a walk from the main hub. Maybe building 4? Does it really matter since its such a small resort?

I don't think it matters. We stayed in building 1, which is the furthest out and they only time I found the walk way too long was the night that I carried my sleeping DGD all that way from the castle to the bus stop, and then until we got back to the resort. For this out of shape Nana, that was a long walk, but the issue was not really the distance, but the Nana. Honestly the walk only took under three minutes and we did it several times a day. The grounds are lovely and well kept.

okay, I just went on Travelocity's website and searched info on POFQ and I answered most of my own questions and a few more came up. (There are tons and tons of POFQ pics on there by the way if anyone needs a fix). I now know that there is plenty of seating around the courtyard areas, and I did see pics of corner rooms not by a staircase (Which makes me very happy) :) I came across a beautiful (not sure if you call it a fountain) water pool that was like a reflecting pool I guess and it had water sprinkling into it from the sides. Just wondering by which buildings this is located...it is absolutely beautiful. I wasn't going to request a building but I really love these fountains! My last question for now, is, is a courtyard view with a fountain considered water view at this resort? I know at CSR they charge water view prices in the Casitas overlooking the fountains and was hoping that was not the case at POFQ. Are there different prices for views here, or just standard vs. water? Thanks as always and I look forward to hearing more :woohoo:

Tink's PD - thanks for the beautiful photos!! I just sent them to my DH and MIL. We leave in 24 days!! (but who's counting?)

You're welcome! I'm glad you liked them. I'm down to 11 days until I return to POFQ! WOOHOO!!!:cool1: Can't wait to see what photos I come back with this time, since I try to get photos of different areas each time I stay there.

Hey TP, can I bother you for a favor while you are down there? Can you check and see if the beverage station at SFF has Pibb Xtra? :rotfl: I'm a bit of an addict and I want to make sure I can get my fix!!

Hi lissiesmom,

I went to Travelocity to see the fountain photo you were talking about since I didn't remember a fountain like the one you described at POFQ, but remembered seeing one or two like that at POR. The photo I found (man, woman, and little girl riding bicycles near the fountain) on Travelocity of the water sprinkling into the reflecting pool from the sides was actually taken in the Mansions section at POR, not POFQ. If you look again, you will see the buildings are not in the style of POFQ. Sorry.

GASP!! Why is there no Pibb?! Thanks for the photo, its hysterical that you already had one!! :rotfl:

A picture is worth a thousand words! Lots of folks have asked about the drinks available at the POFQ food court, so I figured I would take some photos when I was there last spring, and I have posted these photos several times since I got back.

Sorry they don't carry your Pibb. They do carry my caffeine free diet Coke, so I'm happy! :thumbsup2

Thanks Tink's! It doesn't change anything as far as my excitement for POFQ, but I am so glad you looked because I would have walked all over the grounds with DH and DD looking for it wondering where they moved it???? :lmao: I'll be sure to take some pictures of it when we visit POR. You're the best Tink's, and thanks for being on top of everything :thumbsup2

I did another oops! After reading Tink's email, I couldn't remember seeing people biking by the reflecting pool so I went back to my site with all the pictures and it turns out it was not Travelocity, but TripAdvisor. Here's the link for those of you who would like to see all the pictures.

There are a lot of lovely pictures here. But I did go to the Travelocity site and saw what you were talking about,Tink's Pixiedust. That is the exact fountain in the pics at TripAdvisor! And it is so obviously not POFQ! Thanks again for the clarification and I hope I got the site right this time :woohoo:

Abby's Dad we are right down the river from you-Marine City!:lmao: Small World!
We are going to be at POFQ end of Nov.
Have agreat trip!:goodvibes

Hi lissiesmum.

After looking at the photo you were talking about I may have to change my mind. Although I have not seen a fountian like that at POFQ, most of my time there has been spent between the food court, pool, and buildings 4 and 5 (the only buildings I've stayed in so far). Its possible the fountain in the photo you found, if it is at POFQ, is on the opposite side of the pool from where I've stayed (buildings 2,3, etc.). What has me curious is the streetlight in the photo you found is the same design as the POFQ streetlights, but maybe Magnolia Bend has the same style as well. The photo you found is a different fountain than the one in the photo I found of the bicycling family. In the photo you found, it looks as though there are "frogs" on the sides of the fountain and the water sprays from their mouths; in the photo I found there are no frogs on the sides of the fountain.

When I go down there in 10 days I'll look around some more, a lot more, and see if I can find that fountain (the one you found a photo of).

ETA - I'm a little surprised no one else has piped up to say they know where the froggy fountain is. Anyone?
