I can't figure out why Disney won't build a park in Brazil or somewhere else in S.A. Asia is about to get its 3rd city and 4th park, I believe.
We entered the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail as grand explorers seeking adventure and discovery.
Deep in the heart of the jungle, we discovered a long black tail hanging from the tree tops.

Closer examination revealed three monkeys, hanging out and playing. Carter was very impressed with his good fortune at finding some wildlife.
![]()
We blazed on, following the trail to greater adventure. We came upon the coolest of all creatures- the okapi.

While Jeremy and I could spend quite a while studying the great okapi, Carter urged us to continue on to his favorites- the fish.

No Pangani expedition would be complete without the mighty gorilla, whom we observed from a distance, for safety reasons.

As we exited the Pangani Trail, we shed all our delusions of grandeur and returned to being run of the mill Disney guests.
We walked lazily along the pathway from Africa to Asia. I had my mind on a Frozen Chai Latte. That pretzel was making me thirsty.
We encountered a bizarre gathering of people pointing and staring and otherwise blocking the road.
"What's everybody looking at?"

And then, I saw it.
"It's DiVine!!"
![]()
"What's DiVine?"
I glanced at Jeremy to make sure he wasn't joking. "You know, DiVine...right there? I've never seen her before. Isn't it cool?"
![]()
"But what is it exactly?"
"It's pretty much what it looks like. This lady dresses up like foliage and walks around on stilts."
I guess when it's put like that, it doesn't sound quite as impressive.
"But why?"
He had me stumped there. I have no idea why.
"I don't know. Maybe just to be cool?"

"Let's go get that Chai Latte."
I took one last lingering look over my shoulder as we walked away, watching DiVine quickly fade into the trees.

Those tour groups can be quite obnoxious can't they...our experience was no sense that there are other people around who may find your chanting at the top of your lungs on the bus (yup that's what happened to us) annoying and scary to little peopleOne little girl told her daddy they were scaring her....I just felt annoyed
Love the pics of your sleeping babies....
I don't see why the touring group needed to chant so loudly all across the park, but I'm glad they didn't disturb your sleeping sons.
The stage show is nice to watch from far away, but I don't feel it's worth it to stand in the middle of a huge crowd just to get a good view. You didn't really miss anything after heading to the Baby Center.
Looks like more fun at MK! I'm glad you guys finally strategized a way to use your Buzz FP's while Landon got his nap. No reason for everyone else to miss out on some fun just because he needed some sleep.
I try to just ignore the tour groups, although more often than not, they make it all but impossible to do so. I'm happy for them to be getting a chance to go on this once in a lifetime trip and make some great memories... I just wish they could do it without being so obnoxious about it.

LOVING the TR....and I just have to know...you must be a Seinfeld fan, right?
I've never directly been assaulted by a tour group, but it irritates me just even reading about them. I'm a BIG fan of the "when in Rome" rule. Seriously... is ANYONE else doing that?!
It was a great plan to watch the show while having a snack- too bad it scared the kids!
I heard of those BTG but have never seen them in action. Thank goodness they didn't wake the baby.
So the Disney CMs don't do anything about it
What a beautiful day you had at MK. I wish we were there right now.![]()
LOL, oh no, Brazilian tour groups!!I've read about them, but luckily, never encountered them in person yet!
Glad they didn't wake the boys!
We never watch the castle shows either, or afternoon parades for that matter.I just can't be bothered to find a good spot an hour before it starts only to have some family stand in front of me at the last minute, like what happened with you guys!
I gotta try those corn dog nuggets on my next trip!
How funny that you got your best score in Buzz because of Carter! He probably knew how to help his mommy hit the best targets. He just hid his knowledge behind his cute baby exterior!
Awesome that you are sneaking in a quick trip! My DH goes to Jacksonville at least once a month for work, but he never offers to take me. Maybe next time I should insist! Its too bad we'll be missing you by just a few days, we could have met up and let the boys run around one of the playgrounds. I have a feeling they'd be kindred spirits.
I agree that Brazilian tour groups can be really frustrating. I'm glad they didn't wake Landon, I would have been one mad Mama right along with you. I've run into the tour groups many times, especially in July. One trip I was waiting in the single rider line for Rockin' Rollercoaster and the WHOLE tourgroup joined me in the single rider line. There must have been 100 of them! The cast members made them get out of line and back into the standby line, but they were not happy about it!
Sounds like you guys had a great evening in the MK! I'm glad to hear that the boys weren't scared in the Tiki Room. I haven't taken Everett in there yet because I'm afraid that it is too loud. Maybe we'll try it this next trip and see how it goes.
Last time we went we also had trouble finding things to do when Everett was sleeping in the stroller. Its great to walk around the parks and all, but after about an hour I'm always itching to ride something.
What a Great looking family, seems to be a great trip....sorta funny too....lol I can not wait till our next trip I will post our adventures here as well.....thanks for the thread awesome!!!
I am certain that Sawyer's going to pull the standing thing on us. He loves to stand on our laps...sitting, not so much. Should make things interesting, right?
Oh, and an extra trip is awesome!
Wow, I'm amazed that Landon and Carter made it through the Tiki Room with no problems! I admit that there are parts that frighten ME a little ...![]()
I don't think Landon or Carter is old enough to get scared by anything that most people would consider scary. They would be more likely to be scared of a friendly stranger trying to talk to them or of all the cookies being gone than any show or ride.![]()
Yikes, wet socks and cold weather don't mix very well. Glad you had extras and could swap to some dry clothes easily enough. Can't wait to hear how your final Disney night went!
my kids love the tiki birds but we play the song all of the time in the car. Abby knows it will be broken next month (next month!!) but Brady does not. I'm sure he won't remember and will be too busy with other stuff. When the floor and seats of pirates are wet it grosses me out because you really don;t get that wet and you can't really see. I picture the water to be filthy. Lovely, huh? As I get older more and more things skeeve me out. Sorry!

That's a legitimate fear! They have their priorities in order![]()
I haven't done the Tiki room in a looooong time, so I can barely remember it, but it sounds kind of weird!I'm glad you all had a good time on the Jungle Cruise, again, something I haven't done since I was like, 7, so I don't really remember it! POTC is always fun! Glad you found a way to compromise with Landon on the sitting/standing issue!
