Ok, Rafiki's thread inspired me to ask this, but what do you call it?? I know most people refer to it as the remote and I've also heard it called a clicker. Well in my family we call it the push button. I never considered it strange until somebody made fun of me for saying that. Are we the only freaks that call it a push button??

"Thingie" is such a great word...works for lots of things.

The kids and I call it the remote; DH calls it a clicker.

lol...that is what my DD says too.

I personally call it a remote. Tho my BF has an odd one too...the controller. Very funny when she tells him NO Dada, its the mote. Love the battle of wills that goes on between a 32 yo man and an almost 4 year old when she sticks to her guns on Mote. LOL

We usually call it the remote control, but when my DD was little, she called it the "meemo" control, so we do still call it that.

My boss was just talking about this. Her family calls it the channel changer. She said they never thought it was strange until her daughter's friends started making fun of her. My thing is why waste that extra talk time, so much easier to just say remote.
