I don't know how on earth this happens, but I have experienced MLF four times over the years, and have been "that guy" three times. DW and our kids think I know some sort of trick to draw attention but I swear I don't. In fact, I try NOT to be noticed. So what's up with that?

Sit in a different seat? I've been to it about 3-4 times and every time "that guy" is sitting in nearly the same seat. Lower, slightly to the right (looking from back of theater). If it's not an older man in the exact seat, I think they go a seat or so over until they get who they want.

The first two years it was open I was "That Guy" 3 times. We generally go in the rows closer to the front that have lights in the seating area because we think that's where "that guy" is always chosen from.

Hmmm... could be. I don't really track it, but I would think we have been seated in varying places around the theater

I've always wanted to be that guy. I've noticed that sometimes it's kids also. Not a young child but once I saw it was a teenage kid. So I don't know how they choose the person.

I was so happy that the woman next to me was chosen and not me! She was hilarious without even knowing she was, poor thing.

I've never been that guy but my wife was selected by the 2nd comedian...who kept trying to get her to kiss me in front of everyone. My wife is pretty shy so it pushed her out of her comfort zone, but she loved it.

They once came over to me for a knock-knock joke and I completely froze, couldn't barely even think of my own name. My family has gotten sooooo much mileage out of that one over the many years!!

My sister in law swore the people they choose were part of the act until my niece was picked to answer questions, it was awesome.

I was "that guy" the one time we went to Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Now I see why you used "that acronym." :rotfl2:

I did not even know what it was... Kind of a neat way to start the day - I was "that guy" everywhere we went that day.

On our last trip in early June 2014 we went to the Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor for the first time and I was "that guy." We had never been before so I had no isea that something like that would or could happen. I thought it was great but my kids were so embarassed. It just so happened that I was in line with two other "that guys" later that night. I love being able to interact with the shows. Great fun!!!!!

I was "That Guy" the very first time that I went to the Laugh Factory. It was awesome and all day long cast members were commenting when they saw my sticker. :)

I wasn't "that guy" but I did get picked on by Buddy Boil for his mind reading routine.

My husband was "that guy" during a MVMCP last year and I am sure it was because he was wearing the most obnoxious christmas sweater ever, covered in little santas. I will see if I can find a picture. It was definitely a big surprise, and we enjoyed the show much more than expected.
