The comment I made about complicated was NOT what you think it was. It was in relation to the decision to postpone the 2020 Olympics and the idea that if the IOA was headquartered in the U.S. it would have still gone on; the IOC did not postpone until the virus was well on its way around the globe and it went back and forth between what to do. The poster has since explained they were making a tongue in cheek comment about it.I don't think it's very complicated at all.
The people who are pushing ahead with ANY public gatherings will be morally responsible for the outcome because, as authority figures, they are making a statement that it's ok. Now, one could argue it's a free country and all but thats only ethical if EVERYONE has the same access to information and care. This is plainly not true so responsibility is not shared.
As for the Olympics, it was stopped, the reasons aren't as important as the result.
