Can anyone tell me if Epcot's "Test Track" is really what it is cracked up to be?

Not our favorite ride, but it is worth going to. It breaks down a lot.

My family and I really like it, but it does break down alot and will be shut down at the first drop of rain. Get a fast pass early in the morning or use single rider line The fast passes run out very quickly so go when the park opens and get them. During the summer, we would get to the fast pass 1/2 hour after opening and the time on the passes were for 7pm! My daughter and I use single rider line and go about 4 times in a row with less than a 20 min wait.

Welcome to the DIS, blahs4! We're glad you found us!

I suppose it would depend on what you've heard it's 'cracked up to be'. It's a terrific ride, and a great thrill during the speed portion. It doesn't have the flash and glamour of something like Rock 'n Roller Coaster, but it's well done, lots of fun, and if you go into it with your kid-spirit intact, it's a hair-raising good time!

My DH is really looking forward to trying this attraction for the first time. I think he'll enjoy it, I just hope he's not disappointed!

JUST DID TEST TRACK LAST WEEK (SEVERAL TIMES WITH MY DW (34) AND DSONS 3 AND 7. WE ALL LOVED IT!! HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE BEING IN AN OPEN TOP CONVERTIBLE DOING 65 MILES AN HOUR.. ITS GREAT.. ENJOY..

We are huge fans of Test Track!! We always head straight to it right at opening, and usually the line is less than 5 minutes. It helps if the Holiday Bus is at Epcot at opening. Then a lot of people are still doing the character meet and greets. We usually stop for a few, especially any hard to get characters. Then we head right over to TT.

My family rode Test Track in 2001. Believe it or not, we were all kind of scared (we thought it was a thrill ride). However, we all enjoyed it, but it is not a "thrill ride". It is definitely fun to go on and we are looking forward to it our next trip.

Just don't set your expectations to high! That being said, I think you will enjoy it.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective! The first time we rode it, my kids said, "Aw - that was NOTHING! It's just like riding in the car with Mom! Really! I don't quite drive like THAT! My family loves the TT - we think it's lots of fun. The only way to judge I suppose is to try it and see what you think!

I think TT is a lot of fun and is very well done - I do see it as a thrill ride as well - doing 65 mph on a closed track with no one driving, the brake sequences, crash avoidance etc.

Always on my list to do either in singles line or Fastpass or standby if quiet day

Thanks

anyone who works for general motors can take their work badge and get right in. there is a side door between the gift shop & the main lines, go in and hold badge up to camera by elevator. I think you use that door 9 to 5 m-f also there is an employee lounge with free soda, coffee etc. other hours sign up in gift shop, desk to the left by the car display & they will give you the front of the line passes.

TT is pretty good. I was kind of like, "That's it?" when it was over, but like the OP said, it is pretty cool flying around real fast in a covertible! It's good enough to be on our "not to be missed" list, and one of DD's (6 years old) favorites!

Hey Snow White......I see you are leaving exactly 24 hours before me!!! Are you flying out of BDL on Song? I can't wait to try this new airline.

I am a person who does not like roller coasters, but I have no problem with speedy things, spinning, as loong as they aren't up in the air..............do you think I would like it??

Thanks,
