WHO STOLE MY BLANKETS ???? :cold:

If it wasn't Friday I'd just stay in bed.....AFTER I FIND THE BLANKET THIEF!!

it wasn't i that took the blankets.
i have the electric blanket............my extension cord would not go that far.

tony, turn the thermostat up ...........

good morning all.
going to work soon so i had to get up early this morning.

keisha, we got bounced. bottom of the barrel. i knew it was happening this week.

Morning, and what is this "my" stuff Tony? MY blankets...I thought we all shared around here...;) It is 16 here and the wind is blowing...ick, I hate to go out to the car........BUT it's Friday:cool1:

More later, have a good start friends...Pam, good luck today, mac, have fun at work.........

Morning Everyone

Pam - again I am sorry about yesterday. I was able to get Nico to do two days of the reports. He was really into it at first, now it is like pulling teeth. So I really needed to have him focus.

TVT - quit your whinning about the cold. You didn't jsut have to stand outside in 20 degree weather to wait for the bus.

Mic - I have no idea what Nico is talking about. This morning he asked me to call his teacher and tell him he couldn't go to school today becuase he was just too cold.:sad2:

Keisha - I bet it is too cold to be out playing in the snow. I was never a fan of that. Infact, even ice skating I can only go for an hour to 90 minutes. I just freeze.

Bob - Have a safe trip visiting your grandmother.

Gant - we hope you stop getting buried alive so you can come play.

Ed - Is Connor excited about going to Kindergarten?

Deena - is your Connor going to Kindergarten next year?

Mac - Have you been working a lot lately?

:lmao: when it's THAT cold it's every man (or woman) for themselves!!!:rotfl:

confusious say...."He who has strongest grip gets more blanket" ;)

Nope.......but I was thinking about you and Nico as I sat here drinking HOT COFFEE and feeling all warm inside..... :surfweb: ;)

I DO know how well you and cold get along.... :cold: :rolleyes1

Morning all :)

Good luck to Connor next year (Ed's Connor ;) ). Kindergarden is such a huge event in a kid's life. :thumbsup2 Cameron's loving Kindergarden this year (then again, he's a geek like Dad ;) :rotfl2: )

yep, had a feeling in me bones (judges did like the press release:thumbsup2 , i'll look for any bright spot lol).

2 hour school delay today, not supposed to get out of single digits...brrr.

deena - you evidently aren't alone in starting your kids later...all of my boys (who have summer time birthdays) were among the youngest in their classes. My youngest is 13, several of his classlmates have their DL permits:scared1: , as in they're 16.:confused3 Most of his classmates are 14 or 15. Have discussed with several parents over the years. Other than the ones whose kids were held back, most state it's to acquire an advantage in competivite sports. Everyone knows their kids. Since our district went to all-day kidnergarten, I'd def. now wait until my boys were 6 to start them out. Long day for little kids IMO.

pam - congrats to your kids! Hope they had a great time:thumbsup2 Good luck to your daughter too today.

ocm - hope it warms up down your way

mic - we went to electric mattress pads (no theft during the night lol).

bob - bad boys = husband #1...geeks = husband #2/soul mate.

TGIF to all:banana:

KS our state has all day K too and I dont like it. Michael's b-day is right after the cut off date and I think it worked out great for him.

Matthew has a May b-day I listened to all his teachers who said he was ready to go at 5 so we did it. Right off the bat in first grade he had problems with maturity issues. He has had to struggle more in school than Michael. Now I know its not all due to maturity but I also think it plays a big part in all of it. So I just decided after all that Evan and Connor would not start K til 6. A lot of parents think just because the kid can do the work of that grade level that all is good to go but that isnt necessarily so.

We did the same with Cameron -- wait until he was 6 (he's a Labor Day baby). He went to all day preschool, though, so all day Kindergarden doesn't bother him. In fact, our school district doesn't do 5 day/full day K, so we send him to our Catholic school instead (there were other reasons besides that as well).

We're not sure what we'll do with Ryan, who is a May baby. Most likely, he'll go to Kindergarden early, and be one of the youngest in his class. But he's a much bigger kid than Cam's ever been, so physically, he'll be fine. It'll just be a matter of maturity.

Michael is a Labor day kid too. As a matter of fact he was born Sept 2 at 1:23am so he missed the cut off by 1 hour 23 minutes, lol. He has always been big well. I bought him clothes all the time, no second seasons for any of his stuff. He is now over 6 ft tall and wears and size 14/15 shoe.

Every man/woman for themselves huh? OK, take that, you won't get a stitch of covers, they are all MINE...so there....:goodvibes

It is sunny but stll chilly round these parts...

My boys are Feb & April birthdates, so they both started K at about 5.5, turning 6 later in the school year. Guess I was fortunate, as they both did well, and again, back then, it was just 1/2 day of K.

Back to work, lots of piddly stuff for the owner this morning...

I have been in my apartment for 5 years and have NEVER ONCE turned the heat on. I don't even know if it works !!!

...it's 'cause your hot, hot, hot:banana:

shall we all sing along w/Buster Poindexter? I'm in an island sort of zone today...off into a blizzard to yet another basketball game (in my mind it's 80degrees & i'm broiling on the beach:beach: ).

Ole Ole Ole Ole
Ole Ole Ole Ole

Howdy!

Aubrey's appt. went great! He says her eyes are now working together and wants to see her back in 6 months.:cool1:

Aubrey will be going to school in the fall and she will almost be 6--school starts the end of Aug. and her bday is sept. 21(just like someone else here) My boys both went at 5..trent has a may 2nd bday. He was sooo big for his age so we sent him. we sometimes think that it was a mistake but he has caught up to his class but sometimes the maturity level still isn't there i think. Noah is the end of march and he is doing great in everything.:thumbsup2 He is my straight A student.

I was thinking our furnace was broke last night because it was really cold in our house. I turned it off and then back on and it started working...don't know what was up with that but it is suppose to get really cold here this next week with the highs in the single digits. Hope it doesn't quit on us now!
