Happy National Scrapbook Day!

I went to an all day crop. Had a great time! And best of all I got 7 LO's (14 pages) done. They were Michael and Matthews football pics. How many creative ways can you do 14 pages with the same 3 size pics in every LO? lol

MuffyJo I love Kohls!

good for you deena.
you sure do find ways to get out of doing laundry, huh......

glad you had fun.

muffyjo isn't the only one here that likes kohls.
i have the gold card for there.

morning all. it is

same here. I tease the workers that i should own a section of the store. i've
spent so much money there!

Deena - I admire your scrapkeeping hobby. I'm sure they are beautiful.
I'm so uncreative.

btw Good morning all :wave2:

Happy Sunday! We're skipping mass today, everyone's allergies are full-blown today...pass the tissues please!

Stupid woodpecker, each a.m. wakes us up when it's still dark outside grrrr! Can't wait until we fire up the AC units, at least they cut out the bird symphony. Nice to see them through out the day, just wish they'd sleep in until @ least 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. on the weekends.:tilt:

Survived concession stand duty, one more to go next month. Team is undefeated thus far.:cheer2:

I've got several boxes full of scrapbooking stuff. Pull it out every now & then, then stuff it back in quick-like before the cats start tromping all over everything. In our area, they have weekend retreats for scrapbookers @ convention sites to do their thing un-interrupted; might have to check it out.

I don't shop @ Kohl's much, nearest one is about 20 miles away. I like JC Penneys & the outlet stores (call me cheap!).

Good morning friends

Happy Sunday...and a beautiful day here, in the high 60's...keep threatening to take the dog for a walk, today might be his lucky day

Piddled around the house all yesterday evening, picking up, ran the vacumm, did some ironing and watched TV til I fell asleep...then slept in this morning  I have the problem with my dog that you have with the birds....he has an internal alarm or something that wakes him up at about the same time every morning, so I was up with him, let him out, went back to bed, then next thing you know he is beside the bed whining for me to pick him up....but we did go back to sleep :goodvibes

So everyone, enjoy your day, I'll be around off and on. Mac, hope all goes well and you get your son settled and things improve :grouphug: We will be grilling dinner again today...the hamburgers and brats were delicious yesterday, and my ds even did the grilling :cool1: minimal clean up so it was all good. I bought some bamboo skewers, and plan to make some meat/veggie shish kabobs to grill today...yummmmmm Might make some deviled eggs too, feeling domestic today ;) Don't worry about me though, it won't last........... :lmao:

Deena, awesome on the scrapbooking....you are so good with getting it done! Congrats on doing that many LO's.... :cheer2:

Morning all!

just got back from church and have to get busy! :guilty:
I have SO much to do today that it isn't even funny! I called my mom and asked her a question about staining my boards....i think she felt sorry for me because she is now coming here to help me  :cool1:

Trent won 1 game 25-7 and lost the last game 7-6. I think they used all of their hits the first game
Trent is in a HUGE hitting slump right now....he can not hit the ball! I don't know what the deal is but the last hit he had was to the left field fence and now I think he is trying to hard to hit the ball that hard again that he keeps missing... :confused3 I hope he gets out of that slump soon though!
He pitched for the first time since last season...he had a strike out to win the game! :cool1:

Okay, i suppose I better get busy and get something accomplished....

Hope you all have a great Sunday!!!! :wave2:

yea, mic, it always something either a kid, cat or dog that gets us up early on the weekend.

but i surely would miss them if they weren't here.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all enjoying your day. I'm just winding down from a busy weekend. Yesterday I had to DJ a 1st Holy Communion party with about 30 kiddies. The parents all marveled how I could handle all of them for 3 hours and keep smiling. I whisper to them that "I know that they will not be going home with me!" ;) That got a chuckle. In the meantime, little DS's team lost 18-15 yesterday. They are now 1-1-1.

I took my little guy and big DD to the regional Special Olympics this morning. There is a guy from my town that is a special olympian and he supports the town's football and wrestling programs religiously. The least we could do is suppot him but unfortunately the high school athletes must have more important things to do. :confused3 He ended up winning 3 Gold medals today so we were very proud.

Mic, don't forget to soak those skewers or you might be hurting the "wood" with the flames. :rolleyes1

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the day.

Adam

 everyone...

Sounds like a fun filled day for everyone....wow, those blow-out games are hard to sit through let alone play in Pam...Trent has lost his confidence for a bit at the plate it sounds like, and once he gets another good, solid hit, he will go on a hitting streak

Adam, what a wonderful photo, and glad you are so supportive...that is awesome

Ok Adam, sounds like you are a griller.. ;) :goodvibes I just bought those cheapy bamboo thingys to string the stuff on, they actually turned out mighty tasty...I used tomatoes, onion, red pepper, mushrooms (on dh's) and beef and mine I added some pineapple chunks...they turned out good....SOO I should soak the spears first? and this keeps them from burning I guess? They got a little dark on the ends sticking out, but were not burnt up.. :teeth: I hardly left the things on the grill too long anyway, as we like our meat still mooing a little bit... :p I've never done it before, so I bought some beef cubes at the store that were kinda small, so next time I'm going to hit up Sam's or Costco, where they have chunkier pieces in the pack. But overall, they were delish...and I LOVE the minimal cleanup. I also steamed me some zucchini..........yummy. Tomorrow I think we might throw some chicken breasts on the ole grill for another easy dinner.

Gotta finish up the few dishes and I'm done for the day......time to veg out. It is cool here today, the sun has gone someplace else and it almost looks like it could rain.

mic, i always marinate my meat and veggies in an italian dressing concoction over night before i grill them.

the veggies that cook the fastest, i add last to the grill.
the ones that need more cooking time, i put on in the beginning.

when everything is cooked, i put everything back into the dressing solution i made up. i heat that in the micro before i add it to it though.

and i make rice.

your stuff sounds so good, i will be there in 12 hours.
keep the light on for me. :teeth:

I like to marinade too :cool1: So, do you marinat e in marinad e, or are the 2 words interchangeable?? or are both correct?? :confused3 I see both in recipes and often wondered..hmm....good test question if anyone new stops by tomorrow. I bought some Lawry's Hawaiian to douse on my sticks.. :goodvibes Tomorrow, I'm going to soak the chicken breasts in a honey dijon marinade, and I think Masterpiece makes it...everyone else must love it too, cause I can never find the darn stuff..I didn't realize how much I missed the grill til we got this new one. They sure are different too...remember lava rocks in the bottom of them? :teeth: And of course the gas connections are different and safer now. Don't want to be looking like Fire Marshal Bill after fixing the family dinner....... ;)

Sopranos is on tonight, so I'm off to catch some TV time. I can't believe the weekend is over again......although last week the work days went by pretty fast. Soon it will be Memorial Day and into the summer months.

So I took my own test, and we marinate in marinade..............and get all spicey and everyone loves us............... :cool1:

morning all.
hope its a good one for you.

i got up at 5:15 and did my curves thing, now time to get ready and go to work.

see you when the bell rings unless i can get on the computer at school.
:teacher:

5:15 a.m. you are the early bird...even beat our woodpecker today.

Sopranos is sort of meandering along this season...only a few more episodes to wrap things up...hope they get this rolling soon...taking too long to develop the storyline IMO.

Supposed to clean out my closet & put away the winter clothes today...sure doesn't sound like a plan.

I can't wait till Malarie starts helping me.....maybe i can finally catch a breather....it just seems like I am running from one place to another to another to another...

Atleast I did get out Friday night! I went to the highschool play with a few of my friends and then afterwards we hit the.......adult beverage club! :teeth: I was good though.....i didn't stay till closing......i just stayed till last call! :teeth:
