test Part 10

Good morning all...Friday indeed :cool1:

We love nothing more than a party around here, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our littles....and Bon Voyage to Ed!!

See ya later....busy day today at work, have to get everything cleaned up and put away for this event tomorrow...and of course it is only supposed to be in the 60's...can't win

shhhh; still haven't had that 2nd cuppa java:headache: ;)

so, it's the big birthday bash for ocm's kiddies, what did you decide upon? Hope a good time is had by all!

pam - I always ask to have my toothies numbed up, probably because ala my older house, everytime you start digging around you find something else:upsidedow

mic - i can't remember where i put my extra blankets:guilty: have been looking for days; may have given them to goodwill in an extreme rid-up phase. Know you like to shop:) ; any Ross Dress out your way? They're opening one tomorrow nearby. Posted a thread on budget board, got mixed reviews - TJ Maxx-like. I luv poking thru the outlets, so hope it'll offer some bargins.
ed - was it 3 more sleeps or 2 more sleeps? still have your son swathed in bubble wrap? Bet your kids are ready to bust, always wonder when i hear people talking about "secret" trips; how do they pull it off?

as for cruises, only DCL for me thus far.:thumbsup2 absurdly pricey imo though. Not sure if anyone in your family qualifies for military rates; fantastic offerings abound. On Carnival anyone who served & received honorable discharge & can produce a DD214/discharge papers; is eligible to receive the rates. Several times a year they run a special where you can also book 2 additonal cabins @ the same rate. We're sailing on the Legend in Dec. barring any more storms:wizard: ; we'll docking in: Grand Cayman, Isla Roatan (hondorus); Belize & Cozumel, Mexico. Most 7 days don't have 4 ports of call. To compare prices, we could have booked 3 of the cruises for what it'd cost on comparable DCL & we've got an upgraded; extended aft balcony. Interestingly, once you book; you can monitor the prices and ask for price matches/credits even onboard credits if offered directly thru Carnival.

As for the kiddie club, my youngest son never attended any type of daycare; was so insulted that we made his partake of an hour so on DCL so we could have some fun @ dance club. Would've been different if he had someone along on trip near his own age; then he would've loved it.
Really hope we're not disappointed; shall let y'all know...i'm not the hairy chest/belly smacker contest type;)

fyi, NCL also offers military. Here's a good site for checking rates (note that port charges aren't added - for us less than $200 usually)

Morning all!

TGIF!!!

I have a few extra kids today since there is no school today.

Ks--thanks for the info!:thumbsup2 I'll check out the website. My sister wants to go through a travel agent. Since I have been doing all of our vacations I like booking my own stuff...that way i have more control over things. I guess a good travel agent will listen to us right?! I did call AAA to see what rate they could give us on disney.

ed--Have a great time!! Looking forward to seeing your pictures when you get back.

Ocm--hope your kids have great bdays!

mic--hope you get all your work done. the boys are almost here:cool1:

mac--still working your tale off?

gant must have got lost in all those emails:confused3

bob--are you ready to watch your indians play?

tony--are you golfing this weekend?

Pam - I have control issues, surprise, surprise:rotfl: . Prefer booking directly thru the cruise line; so I can see my ressie online, make payments, changes, etc. Then you can watch for price drops yourself. A good message board for find out all the scoop, including big sales is:

boards.cruisecritic dot com

I've found that the best rates tend to come out in Nov/Dec.

Once you have booked a cruise you can "shop it around" up until before final payment on

cruisecompete dot com

Additionally, it is permissable to transfer a ressie that you've made directly thru cruise line to a TA, again before final payment.

As I recall AAA has a DCL sale every January; gift card or OBC?

Hey all, I'm leaving tomorrow. Behave yourselves. :rotfl:

I'll be sure to take lots of photos.

didn't you hear, ALL of WDW is shut down for rehab tomorrow:scared1: ...jk

hope everything's up & running that you want to see; have fun!

Today turned insane..:scared1: I was still vacumning the lobby at 5 p.m. guess I was no more than 1/2 hr. late getting home though. We hopefully are ready for tomorrow's big day...stuff was arriving all day long, flowers, the tent was put up, honey pots (port-a-potties...LOL) and stuff from Sam's....plus trying to do our regular work. I'm beat.

Just watching a bit of baseball before turning in.

KS, we have a Ross here, and it is quite junky to me. I guess they have good deals, and if you like to rummage around, then it might be for you. We also have a Dress Barn which is a nice store that carries all sizes, regular and plus.

Ed, HAVE FUN........

evening all!

KS--thanks for all the info...i will check it out:thumbsup2

Dave and the boys went to the highschool football game tonight. I decided to stay home and veg. Aubrey decided that sounded good too so we have just been hanging out.
I think Dave will be coming home soon as it just started down pouring. Speaking of...he just walked in.

Have a good evening all!

Ed--have a good safe trip!!!

Today turned insane..:scared1: I was still vacumning the lobby at 5 p.m. guess I was no more than 1/2 hr. late getting home though.
........

is that part of your job duties?

i'd probably be fired in the first week if it was.......:rolleyes1

ed, have a fantastic time at the motherland....

i know you will

have fun, eat lots of food, ride lots of rides, and relax!

quick drive by; good weekend to all.

mac - so glad to have you back, i'm always so bummed & in a daze for weeks after vacation (withdrawal i suppose):confused3

off to do laundry-bleech.

Evening all........finally settled down after the big event today. No mac, vacumning isn't part of my job..:goodvibes but we all were pitching in to make sure the place was **** and span for today. For dreading it so much, it actually turned into a nice day and it went smoothly. It was nice to put faces to people I talk daily with on the phone. I'm tired though. Ran over to the car wash, my car was filthy and picked up a few groceries.

I bet Ed is at the motherland and getting ready to hit the parks! :cool1:

Off to watch the baseball game.............:wave2:

hey mic, you got censored. someone else got starred for saying sp!c and span. i only know that word from cleaning the floor and walls......i'm so out of it...

hoping ed and family had a great flight down to the motherland.

it sure is tough coming back home after a 15 day vacation.

i think i need to take another one soon.
i like living out of a suitcase...

i'll be at church tomorrow, have your backs covered

evening all!

Went shopping today in Lincoln to return/exchange some things that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Found Aubrey a new winter coat and she actually likes it so we are doing good:thumbsup2

We may be down to 2 families on our disney trip next may. One family doesn't want to spend that much on a vacation:sad2: He wants to go to a differnt vacation spot...both his sister and I said...heck NO!

Guess I am going to go round up kids so they can head for bed and go to bed myself...tomorrow is teaching day

hold your ground pam, stay with disney for the family vacay.

got your backs covered , going to church in the morning.

Good morning...

lots to do today, and I'm moving slow...but I will get it done!!

Oh for heaven's sake, s!ic and span is a cleaning product :confused3 :headache: Everything must be politically correct these days...so much for freedom of speech

mic - long as you didn't get any points;) ; who would've thought it would be one of those bad words?

mac & pam - glad you've got me covered! DH & I had a home-alone night:) still draggin'; have decided i hate beer.

pam - it's hard enough to plan a vacation; yet please a bunch of different people - good luck.

afternoon all!

it is raining and gloomy here today. Good nappin' weather!! The only thing i indeed to do today is get a few groceries.

Mic--good luck on getting everything done today.

mac--oh i am standing my ground. If that family wants to go somewhere else then by all means they can go some place else. Even if the 2nd family decides to go somewhere else(which I don't think will happen) we will still go.

ks--It is hard to plan a vacation to keep everyone happy. I got a call yesterday from one of my sil friends who is going to disney and heard that i know how to get some good deals...seems i should start charging for my services;)

I'm guessing Ed made it to Disney. He picture text me the entrance....hope he has a good time!

Well, i guess i am going to start getting busy...the sooner i get my things done the sooner the couch calls my name;)
