are you all still hung over from bob's party he didn't show up for? I guess more for us to drink

I still have the computer downstairs but with so many little ones i can't be down here that much. I don't know if dave asked his parents if we can borrow thiers until we get ours back or not yet.


We are off to Lincoln today to do a few errands and to pick up a few things. think i will head over to Kohl's to see what i can find

it's hot, kids are sniping @ each other & me ; hope the heatwave breaks soon.

I haven't been to Kohls since last Xmas, just can never find any of the great deals everyone else does. I'm a outlet sorta shopper, not even the 1st tier-Prime Outlets; think more lowbrow (gets lots of designer & WDW clothing @ 75% off; just have to make sure everything is centered, etc.-assume they're rejects)

I'm late for roll-call today...sorry....I needed to go to Wal-Mart and Sam's, and I realized it is the Saturday before school starts, so that means a bazillion shoppers, so I got up and got an early start. Was not bad at all for both stops. I needed to stop by the regular grocery store, but it is so stinkin hot and humid, I just couldn't force myself in and out of the car again. Was back home before noon, so I did real good.

Have fun Pam, I was gonna go by Kohl's and then again the whole back to school rush scared me off. Next weekend is a long weekend, so I might sneak a little shopping trip in......it can be a window shopping trip, as I won't have specifics to be heading out for.

Stayed up late, got up early, so I feel a nappy coming my way...then gonna watch the Sox on Fox this afternoon........

We just came through a heck of a storm that blew through our little town...oh my, the thunder, lightening wind and rain were something else. It took a HUGE part of the big old tree in our backyard down...and the one strike of lightening, well you could hear it sizzle when it struck. I believe there are 2 house fires and a tree on a house in our town......I tried to run out on the front porch to grab my plant dish, and this whoosh of rain came across the porch, and I was soaked clear through in about 3 seconds...I came running back inside and then started laughing, I looked like a drowned rat......LOL

Off to watch a little TV I think, started to take a power nap, and my son asked me something never fails, I fall asleep, someone calls my name, the phone rings are the dog whines......

especially the problem you'll have taking that tree down.


glad your house did not get zapped with lightening

mac - nothing sez lovin' like somethin' from the oven

i cheat & use a breadmaker

mic - very scary stuff, i'm at the point where I dread when the sky turns dark & wind start a-blowin; such severe weather

i would love to have a break maker but i do not have counter space in the kitchen for it.
i have a small kitchen

Morning all

Storm moved on, sunny this a.m....not dh has to cut up what came off the tree and make it go away

I have a bread machine, it sits in the cupboard...haven't used it in severall years. I used to use it all the time, but I try not to eat a lot of bread and if I make it, I'll eat it

yea, i should stay away from bread but sometimes it calls my name.


hope you dh doesn't have to do a lot of yard work due to the passing storm.

ks--my kids fight when it isn't hot outside

I think i am off to go and visit my grandma. My aunt and uncle are back from arizona so i will go and visit them too.

I'm here, but off and on.....rushed around to scrub floors when ds and gf went to town. So that is about my limit for today.. They brought fried chicken home for dinner........yum.....

mic - i hates to scrub floors, probably 'cause i usually do it on my hands & knees

spent the day last min. skool shopping (forgot binders,etc.) & picking up the chicken wings (hope the house doesn't get too hot when i fire up the fryer)...GO STEELERS.

Good morning friends...........it is Monday....but at least this week is leading up to a 3-dayer

Mac, congrats on the 29 + 7..........hey, almost like our birthday's

Chicken seemed to be the meal of choice yesterday..........

It was a grand weekend, the team to remain nameless swept the White Sox

Cooler this morning, but still so humid......ick......well, got to skeedaddle...will check in later
