test Part 10

Bob. I'm envious of you. When I went to work my DW has not had to work so she could be a SAHM. I still have to do the coaching and stuff but I love that aspect of the job. I would love to be in your position and I hope you enjoy it fruitfully.

As far as my Astros are concerned.....I have written them off this year. I did go to a Yankee game though and the luxery boxes at Yankee stadium leave very much to be desired. I did have an anonymous female grind up on me during the #4 subway trip out to the stadium so I guess I can't complain!:confused3

Life here has been good. One of my DS friends has been here since the beginning of summer. I got a threatening phone call from his mom saying she was going to call the Division of youth and family services on me. I offererd her the phone number and she hung up. Sure enough, they were at our house the next day. They asked if I was willing to house this kid and I said sure. They told her she would have to do a drug screen and she said "he could do what he wants"! Imagine giving your kid away for drugs!!

Anyway, I got him back into school and had him take an online course for US History 2 so he can graduate with his friends. I'm sure Mac will know that my reward will be being in attendance when he gets his HS Diploma with his friends and my son. This kid just needed a break because he is brilliant. His DM is an alcholic and on heroin. His major in high school is architecual (sp) enginnering.

So much for me for now. I hope you all have an enjoyable evening.

That is sooo nice of you to do that for him. Isn't it amazing how some attention, good environment, and some love will change a person around?! That mom doesn't know what the heck she is giving up because she is to high to realize what she is doing...hopefully some day she will realize it but i hope she doesn't try to drag her ds down with her. You are a good man!!!

Just popping by to wish you all a good night...

Gant, how nice to hear from you......you HAVE been busy. How wonderful and you Mrs. Gant are to take in the young man, and give him what his own mother wouldn't.....good for you!!! That is just awesome and I wish him well. You are wonderful to do this.

Writing off your ball team??? :confused3 Come on now, you can't be a fair weather fan, you gotta love em when they are down........(this from a Sox fan who KNOWS the ups and downs and what they can do to your psyche...LOL)

Glad you stopped by...love hearing from you

ok, night friends.........hope everyone is well

Good morning all.......

Morning poop:confused3 how about another 8 hours of it:headache: 5 o'clock can't come 'round quick enough........BUT it is nekkie day

Very humid here this morning, supposed to be back in 90's tomorrow:headache:

We need to have a retirement party today.....for Bob!! :goodvibes

Must move my tushy......see ya later:grouphug:

Morning all!

just got back from taking the kids to school and now waiting for the rest of my day to start. I'm with mic--can't wait till 5 o'clock gets here.

a retirement party you say? well since tomorrow is his last day we will have it tomorrow!:cool1: :cool1: good reason to toss a few back!!

gotta run...stop by later i'm sure!

Congrats bob!:yay: so glad i look off work with my last son (course i never really went back either:rolleyes1 ).

We shall have a party on the patio tomorrow 'fer sure! Everyone bring a hot dish, taco salad sounds good to me.

tvt - thanks for sharing, i think?

everyone's off running; i'm still on the 1st cuppa coffee - cannot sleep when DHs working midnight shift; yawn.

gant - you hung in there longer than i did with your team, believe the pirates were "out of it" early June.

How AWESOME of you to take on such a responsibility!:thumbsup2 :cheer2: very cool, good karma to you...sounds as thou mom is a piece of work.:sad2: Perhaps a break from that home life will be beneficial all around for son & mom.

I think :rolleyes1 the caddy passed inspection, still on the lift. I'm told it too needed front rotors, breaks and calipers. Only problem was finding the right calipers, evidently parts are getting tuff to find & we have to change over to all-in-one type??? I'm told the part is $25 cheaper labor will probably eat that savings up - ha. DH has delegate inspections/servicing (other than oil changes) in my lap:upsidedow ; he's obsessed with his Harley;)

gant, i am extremely proud of you.
you always do the right thing.

in the past 8 years, i have taken in my son's friends. we have had 4 extras move in with us over the years. it is the most rewarding thing we have done.

you are such a good man.

i went mia last night. went to the drive in and saw a couple of movies with son. we have had a lot of flooding in our area and the drive in was about 15 minute drive last night for us from home. part of the highway was flooded but we still made it there in time.
even half of the drive in was roped off as it had flooded a couple of sections in it.

no speakers at this drive in, use the fm radio for sound.

going off to curves now.
i ate too much last night.
hot dogs on sale for $1 each.......

Mac, you said you went to the drive in, what did you watch? Ok, not as much fun as the drive in, but I watched a dumb movie on cable after dinner...Larry the Cable Guy Movie....ok, SO dumb but I sure did laugh at him...he was the Public Safety (food inspections) Officer....he sure is one crazy dude:goodvibes

KS, hope the old caddy makes it through this round of diagnostics and repair, be gentle with her.......she is old and needs TLC...:thumbsup2

Ok, gonna try this pic from Avon...it so reminds me of Nico..ok, it is working, but had to show all the other kiddies also...:cutie: they all are cuties, but the little fella in the Cars outfit just so reminds me of Nico

anyone else think so? OH, the new book has lots of cute Halloween goodies...KS...right up your alley!!!

Good for you ....:thumbsup2

looks like our nico!
those kids are cuties.

keisha, hope the caddy gets well real soon and cheaply also.

saw bourne ultimatum and superbad last night mic

;) i told ocm Nico should model...do i have an eye or what? i do remember that page in the catalog; mic's got a sharp eye!

still no word on my car:rolleyes1

middle DS cried for a hearty breakfast (@ 11:30 a.m.:confused3 ); whipped up a big batch of mickey waffles...he left me 1:rotfl: it was good.

mac - i haven't been to the drive in in 2 seasons, shall put it on my list of waning summer to-do's. I've never lasted thru any of the Bourne's...zzzz...Matt Damon doesn't do it for me. Hear the books (ludlum?) are way different & excellent in their own right? anyone read them.

keisha, the drive in is usually less than a 15 drive from my house.
the water on the highway slowed us down.

i needed to get son out of the house as he has not gone anywhere in weeks.
he didn't want to go to an indoor theater and be around strangers so i let him pick which drive in to go to.

the movie was fine but superbad is not a good movie for a mom to see with her son.

hope you hear good news on your car soon.

where is our little momma these days...?
is she working full time?

It does look Nico....:thumbsup2

passed the grand-papa test :goodvibes

KS...I love waffles...smothered in butter and syrup.....yum

when I was little, we would have breakfast for supper sometimes, and I had a couple ways I liked pancakes...w/grape jelly on them...or butter and then sprinkle sugar on them and roll them up....no wonder I have a sweet tooth...course back in them thar days, people didn't worry about weight as much back then....and we personally didn't have ton of junk food in the house, we couldn't afford it. Heck, ice-cream or soda was a treat, not readily on the shelf or in the fridge like it is now.

i fixed pancakes for dinner last night..

i do breakfast foods for dinner whenever the mood sets in.

i was raised on breakfast foods all during the day.
i think it was the most affordable way my dad was able to provide for us.

we had meat on every sunday. depending what was on sale during the week determined if we had meat, chicken or pasta or eggs.

it sure kept my weight down back in those days.

to this day, my favorite meal is breakfast foods.

let's do a potluck and make it breakfast foods.

sweets can boil the eggs...
keisha can make the waffles..
mic, can you handle the toast?
pam, start peeling the potatoes for hash browns.
tony, ed, bob, bring paper plates

and mr gant will bring the coffee.....
