Teresa's WISH Journal (AGAIN)

What a freakin' day and it's on Tuesday:scared1: Kids were awful yesterday and not much better today. Even got smacked in the face by a 2nd grader. God I love my job :confused:

I've been great this past week (minus Friday night for my birthday) and have been exercising like crazy. For some reason today my stomach was bothering me (like I ate something that didn't agree). Did really well with food because I knew I was weighting in at WW today, but felt very bloated and only lost .8:confused3

I know that its because of the bloat because I know I kicked butt this week and stayed within my points. I'm hoping next week to get the big WHOOSH :wizard: I did go to the gym after and did some weight lifting, so I'm not going to let this get me down.



Hey Donna... That's too bad that you weren't able to get to WW yesterday... hopefully you can make it next week. Congratulations on getting to the 50 mark, that is so awesome :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: How I remember getting to my 50 pound mark. It was right before we went on our Disney Cruise in 2005. Seems like so long ago now :sad1:

WW was disappointing to me, but I kind of knew when I weighed myself this morning at home and didn't lose anything and then as the day went on, I just kept feeling more bloated. TOM (or Time of Month as I call it) will be making an appearance later this week, so I'm sure that doesn't help. Just going to keep sticking with the points and exercising and hope that next week is better. Thank you so much for all your support :love:
 
Oh gosh, Tera! It sounds like your week at school didn't start off very well. I hope today was MUCH better for you!

I'm sure next week at WW will be a lot better and you'll have that big WHOOSH and the scale will show how hard you've been working. :thumbsup2Good for you for staying positive and not letting it get to you, that's a GREAT attitude to have! Tera - I hope your week at school gets better. I'm a daycare provider and some weeks are worse than others here too!! It's crazy sometimes!

I'm sure that next week you'll see your WHOOSH on the scale. As long as you keep working out and staying within points, all will be good. ;)

Morning Everyone...

Feeling a little down today:sad2: I got over the .8 loss from Tuesday and have been sticking to my points. Last night we bowled and I allowed myself 1 drink and stayed within my points and made sure to have plenty of water and was up 1 pound on my scale. What's up with that? :confused::confused: I know my visitor is arriving in the couple of days and the bloat is starting, but it's just depressing not to see a little drop and definitely depressing to see a gain. :ee

Work being so stressful hasn't helped and I'm hoping the kids are a little better behaved today. I'm so happy we have Monday off for a 3 day weekend. Since I'm off Monday, I've decided I'm going to go to WW that morning instead of waiting for Tuesday afternoon. I'm hoping that TOM arrives and the serious bloat will be gone, if not, I might have to wait. Heading to the gym with DH after work today and will get a good workout in since I didn't go yesterday. Think I need to up my weight lifting a little more.

Thanks Donna and Kidsrfun - I keep trying to tell myself to stick with it and eventually I'll see the loss, but we all know some days its tough. Going to need to pick up some of that WW chocolate soon :)

I know exactly how you feel, Tera. I've been there myself several times. Seems like no matter how hard you try, the scale won't cooperate. You sound just like me too, weighing yourself every day lol. I know they say you're not supposed to but I still do it.

I'm sure once you get TOM out of the way, things will start moving in the right direction. In the meantime, just keep your head up, stay within your points and keep working out. You're doing a great job...what does that damn scale know anyway?! ;)

Ugh, that bloat can really get you down. Try to focus on the good stuff...you're doing very well overall.
 
Hey Donna... I got in the habit (bad) of weighing myself when I first started WW. I know its bad, but I was obsessed with my weight. If I don't weigh, that scale seems to sneak up on me.:confused3 Are you planning on going to WW Monday?

Thanks ink - Like its not bad enough that we have to deal with TOM, but then all the crap that goes with it. Sucks being a woman sometimes :sad2: I know in another day, I should be fine. I'm glad I have this over the weekend instead of while at work. That really sucks! :)


Hey Ladies...

I am SO glad the week is over. Friday was definitely a better day for the kids than the previous 4 days. I'm glad they were better since TOM arrived and wasn't feeling all that hot. Scale was down 1/2 pound, so there was that to be happy about. Even with feeling like crap, I got home and then went to the gym and worked out for 45 minutes. DH didn't want to go, but I dragged him with me ;) Later in the evening, we went to the neighbors for our fantasy football awards (won 3rd place and bought myself a new Ipod :) ). I had eaten dinner before we left and brought a veggie tray (with ff ranch for me) and I had one small drink.

Today the scale was the same, but not surprisenly with TOM in full force this morning. We went to the RV show and did tons of walking for 2 hours. DH & youngest DD had some Philly cheesesteak for lunch and I was able to find a fruit smoothie. The greasy food didn't even look good :eek: Got a short nap in when we got home and wasn't feeling hot when I got up, so I didn't go bowling tonight. I'm enjoying no kids and no DH and watching me some football :thumbsup2

So I'm planning on weighing in MOnday morning as long as the bloat is down. Tomorrow me and DH will workout, but I think I'll only be up for some light cardio. Monday I will hit the weights hard again after my weigh-in.

I've been doing great tracking and eating. I bought lots of veggies & got some WW desserts for my chocolate cravings. Tomorrow we'll hit Sam's and I'll pick up some chicken to grill to have with my salad.

Here's to hoping to see a loss on the scale tomorrow morning :angel:

Happy Sunday Tera! Yes, I'm definitely going to WW tomorrow so we'll see how I do. I feel like I'm retaining water for some reason so I'm not expecting anything major from the scale but any loss is good. What time is your WW meeting tomorrow? It sounds like you've been doing really well with food and exercise so I'm sure the scale will be good to you tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed and sending some pixie dust your way!!! :wizard:

What football game did you watch last night? I think I told you before that my DH is a big time football fan. Fanatic is more like it lol ;) Me, not so much. I do like the Colts and root for them so we watched them beat the Ravens last night. Awesome job on getting 3rd place in the fanstasy football awards. What kind of Ipod did you get? I have a pink Nano my DH got me for my birthday last year and I really love it.

Hey Donna - I think I'm going to a 9:00am meeting. Figure I'll bring something that I can eat after I weigh-in. I know I'll be down since I just weighed myself (cleaning the bathroom) and with heavy clothes and just ate lunch, I'm still down. Really shooting for 3 pounds, but will be happy with 2. Still a little bloated from TOM, but feeling better.

DH and I went to the gym this morning and did 45 on the ellipical. Burning those carlories!!!!:banana: I got to use my new Ipod Nano (green) which was great. My old one was so big and heavy. I got an arm band that I can use for the gym.

I caught the second half of the Arizona/New Orleans game. Was pulling for NO, so was happy with that outcome. I was actually cheering for Baltimore. They played so well the week before, I was surprised that the Colts defence shut them down. Watching Dallas/Minnesota now and hope the Vikings kick them butts.:cheer2: I hate Dallas! Cheering for the Jets later against San Diego :) I love Sundays and football :cloud9:

Woo hoo!!! Just got home from WW and lost 3.8 this week :banana: I'm so happy considering TOM was just here the other day. I should be over my first 5 pounds by next week for sure :woohoo:

Anyways... not sure what is up with the tummy today, but now I feel really bloated. I'm sure TOM is still playing havoc with me.

Going to do some housecleaning today and then hit the gym when DH gets off work. Thinking about going to Kohl's or JCPenny to get some new workout pants since I've been wearing the same ones almost every day (I do wash them in between;)) I think I feel better when I'm wearing something that looks good and not sloppy.

I have a bad habit also of wearing the same shorts/pants to work out in. Guess it's because they're so comfy but I need to invest in some news ones too. Did you make it to Kohl's or JC Penny today to get you some new ones? I hope you did, you deserve a little reward for your great weigh in this week.

I was only down .5 this week. No biggie tho, next week should be better.

Thanks Donna! I'm excited about my first 5 pounds too. Its small, but its a start :thumbsup2 .5 might be small, but it is a loss. I think I need to just take every loss and not worry about anything else.

Having a hell of a week. Kids have been awful at school and DH really pisses me off sometimes. Wednesday I bowled and made sure have enough points to drink. I still was down a pound the next day. Gotta love it :lmao: Yesterday I worked out after work and then met some friends at Fox & Hound (sports bar). We all ordered salad and I had one drink. My salad was cobb, but I didn't get bacon and had enough points for the egg & bleu cheese and then 4 of us split a chocolate cake. I made sure to drink water, but was disappointed to see the scale up 2 pounds. I feel bloated and I think I might have had an overkill of veggies yesterday.

I'm still debating on when to go weigh-in again. I loved the MOnday morning meetings, but can't do that while I'm working. Tuesday afternoon makes me nervous because of all the things that could go wrong in the day before weigh-in. If I'm bloated, I'll be up. I saw at Wednesday at 7:00am that I could go to, but then what do I do for an hour before I go to work? (meeting is closer to work than home). A friend that I was meeting on Tues is trying Saturday mornings, but that means no more Friday happy hours for me. Decisions decisions...

We have an in service day today, so I have to work, but no kids. I'm dead tired, but I'm still going to the gym after. Figure I just need to get about 40 minutes of cardio and I'm good. Shooting to be under 190 by the first part of February, but not sure that is going to happen :confused3

Hope everyone has a great day. Hopefully going to have some time this weekend to read some journals and get some inspiration from other people.
 
Hi Tera! Sounds like you've had quite a busy week. Look at you GO with those exercise minutes...awesome! I really slacked off and probably won't make my goal but definitely plan to next month and will still be shooting for 1000 minutes.

Have you decided which WW meeting you'll go to next week? Hope you have a great weekend. You planning on watching The Colts beat the Jets? ;) :thumbsup2
 
Morning...

I can't believe how quickly the weekends go by these days. Just not enough time to relax before another long week starts.

Weight has been steady the past couple of days which bums me out just a little. Been working out everyday this week except for Wednesday (bowling) and I was hoping to see more of a loss on my scale at home. I know I need to be patient and you would think since I've been through this before, I would know better. I know it will happen...


Hey Donna - HOw's your weekend been? I'm still not sure what day I will weigh-in. I'll depend on how the scale looks on Tuesday morning. I found a Friday at 7:30am that might work out for me since its right before work. I just hate having to wait until 4:00pm to weigh-in. I think the reason I did so well last week was that it was in the morning.

Definitely going to watch the games today. I'm actually pulling for the Jets ;) I'm looking forward to the Minnesota/New Orleans game. I love both teams and not sure which one I want to win. Definitely pulling for NFC for the Super Bowl, no matter what team goes :goodvibes

Hi Tera! How was your weekend? Did you decide what day you're weighing in this week? I was sick yesterday, spent the whole morning at the ER with stomach problems. Something that has given me fits since I was probably 12. Feeling better today but missed my WW meeting again :( According to my scale, I've lost over a pound since I weighed myself last week so I'll take it!

Hope you're having a better week at school and the kids aren't giving you so much trouble. What did you think of the Colts/Jets game? Gotta love it that the Colts are going back to Miami! Well, at least I love it lol! Only time I'm interested in football is with the Colts

HEy Donna... How are you feeling now? That has got to suck to deal with stomach issues for so long. Nothing doctors can do to help? I think I'm going to check out the Friday at 7:30am meeting this week and see if I like it. If not, think I'll just have to stick with the Tues at 4:00pm. When I'm out of school for breaks, I'll go to either the Monday or Tuesday morning ones. According to my scale, I'm down 7.5 for the month :banana:

I'm home sick today. First time in over a year that I've called in sick (and have actually BEEN been). Came home from work about 10:30 yesterday and sleep off and on the whole day. Never got out of bed except to pray to the porcelain God. Wasn't able to eat anything all day except for some saltine crackers and then finally two pieces of toast in the evening. I went ahead and stayed home today, which is a good thing. I didn't even get out of bed until 11:00 and I'm so tired (probably because I haven't had anything to eat). Feeling better today and trying to get some food into me now.

Nice thing about being sick is that I was down 1.5 againt his morning. That was 3 pounds in two days. I almost thought about sneaking off to WW and weighing in today, but thought I'd better stay home and rest.


Only caught the second half of the Colts/Jets game. Think the Jets did well until that 4th quarter and just fell apart. Vikings/Saints game was good and was hard to see the Vikings lose. I hope the Saints kick the Colts butt!!! :cheer2: Should be a good game.

I hate not being able to go to the gym. Won't go tomorrow since we have bowling, so Thursday will be my first chance since Saturday. Going to need to pick it up after that to make up some exercise minutes.

Hope you're feeling better today, Tera!!! I hate being sick! I'm feeling much better today, thanks for asking :) I have medication for my stomach issues, it just doesn't always help or stop the problem from coming back. Hopefully it's a long time before I have to deal with it again.

Are you sticking with the Friday morning meeting for this week? Hope you have a BIG loss!

Too bad you're rooting for the Saints in the Super Bowl because they're going to LOSE! LOL! :thumbsup2

Morning....

Its been a tough week at my house. We've all are now recoverying from the stomach bug. This is the first time ever that we've all gotten sick. I came home from work MOnday and stayed in bed all day. Couldn't get more than a few crackers and then finally some plain toast in for the whole day. Tuesday I stayed home too and was doing a little better. Yesterday I was feeling sick again, but this morning I'm feel 100% better. Needless to say, I haven't gotten to the gym once this week. I think I'm going through withdrawal :)

MOrning Donna - Hope you are doing well on this Friday morning. I am going to WW this morning. I'll head out just after 7:00am for a 7:30 meeting and then head to work. I got on the scale this morning and I think I'll have about a 1 1/2 loss, but who knows. Wish I could have gone Tuesday because I was down probably 4 pounds from being sick. I wish I would have been down more, but being as sick as I was, no gym and hardly any water. I'm still feeling dehydrated. Hoping to head to the gym after work, even for a light workout and then get there this weekend.

I'll post my loss hopefully sometime this evening. Maybe by next week I'll be down 10 pounds which would be great for one month :thumbsup2

Hey Donna.... I totally forgot to post yesterday. I was so tired and I'm still recovering from the stomach thing. I lost 1.6 pounds, which I was actually a little disappointed about since it had been almost 2 weeks since I weighed in and I was actually down 2 pounds more than that Tuesday morning. My stomach is so bloated still. Its okay... it was a loss and I'm sure by next week, I'll be down more. The Friday morning weigh-in works better than Tuesday afternoon, but not "loving" the leader. I'll give it another week.

going to the gym for the first time in a week today. going to have to take it slow and hopefully tomorrow I'll feel better.
