Teresa's WISH Journal (AGAIN)

All I can say is THANK GOD THIS WEEK IS ALMOST OVER:scared1:

I swear it must be a full moon. Kids at school have been nuts:eek:

Hey Donna...

Anniversary was great. My DH is such a romantic

Looks like I'm going to weigh-in tomorrow morning instead of Friday. My neighbor is doing a get together tomorrow night and I don't want to take the chance of being up, not that I planned to eat & drink that much, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

Was very bummed this morning because the scale just doesn't seem to be moving that well for me and this week I've been so good. It's just frustrating :confused3 Worked out really well Mon & Tues and then had bowling Wed. Was going to go to the gym today, but had a dentist appt after work and then I was just exhausted from work. I do plan to work out tomorrow before going over to the neighbors. I really wanted to be at -20 pounds by the end of March, but don't think that's going to happen if I don't have some big losses.

Anyways... I'll let you know how my weigh-in goes.

Thanks:hug:

How did it go this morning?? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the scale cooperated. You deserve it!!

Well the scale didn't go as well as I would have liked. Only lost .4 this week :confused3 but I am down 12 pounds since Jan 4th, so that's good:thumbsup2 I'm wondering if I would have waited until tomorrow, if I would have been down or not. Oh well... nothing I can do about it now but get my head back in the game and try have a big WHOOSH next week. Need to lose 8 pounds by the end of March, so I'm determined to get there (or as close as possible). Looking good for my June challenge so far :)

Went to the gym after work and am having a nice big salad now. My neighbor is having happy hour and I don't want to be hungry around some of the food I'm sure she'll have. Going to let myself have 2 beers, but nothing else :drinking1

You're doing a fantastic job!! 12 pounds is great so give yourself a big pat on the back for that!! :thumbsup2

How was Happy Hour? Did you do well with food since you had a salad before you went? Well, Monday is the start of a new month so I'm definitely joining the exercise challenge this time and plan to hit my goal this time.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Morning....

Can't say enough how happy I am that the weekend is here :cool1: Just trying to get motivated and get my butt to the gym this morning.

Donna - I know I should be patting myself on the back, but I wonder what I could have done different that would have helped with a bigger loss. I think I need to go over what I've eaten those first couple of weeks when I was losing big and see what I can do different.

Happy hour was fine last night. I only had one beer and food was fine. I had a large salad before I left and just stayed away from the appetizers completely. They had salad & baked potatoes for dinner, so I made another salad, but did have one slice of garlic bread. I wish I would have waited to weigh-in today because I think I would have been down more. I was the same as yesterday, if not a little lower, so I think I would have had a 1+ pound loss. Oh well.... I'm weighing in for sure Friday morning again since we have a work happy hour next Friday since we're off track (only 4 more day!!!!) I work next Friday, but we don't have kids, so it'll be a easy day :)

I need to sign up for the March exercise challenge. I haven't reached it the past two months and need to get really serious this morning. I can't believe March is already here.

We have bowling tonight, but I don't plan to drink at all. It's funny how it just doesn't do it for me when I'm trying to lose weight. I have been craving chocolate lately, so TOM must be getting close. I bought some 100 calorie chocolate to help with the cravings.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

I can't believe it's Monday already. Where does the weekend go? :confused3

I got on my scale this morning (I know I shouldn't, but I do) and I was pleasantly surprised with a big WHOOSH and was down 2 pounds this morning. Why couldn't that have happened on Friday  Just hoping to get down another pound by Friday morning and that should put me at 15 pounds. I'm looking good for my 30 pound goal by June 1st :thumbsup2

I've been really bad about posting on here and hoping once I'm off track, I'll be able to sit down and read some other journals

Donna - Did you ever sign up for the March exercise challenge? Better get started girl. I'll post to you on FB.

I haven't signed up for the March exercise challenge yet but I'm going to (I PROMISE lol) as soon as I post this to you. I know that if I sign up it will keep me motivated to exercise a heck of a lot more than I have been. Once the weather warms up a little, I'm going to start going back to the gym. I'm just bored with what I've been doing at home so it's time for a change! Thankfully, food has still been ok so the scale isn't up.

You're getting closer to your time off. I bet you're excited! So you're weighing in on Friday this week? I know you'll do great, especially since you're already showing a loss for the week. Don't feel bad about checking your weight at home, I can't stay off the damn scale either lol. I have a slight obsession with the thing and I know it's not good. I just like to know where I'm at and don't want any big surprises at WW lol

Hope you're having a great week :cloud9:

It's the BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!:yay:

Besides it being my first day of off track, I went to WW this morning and lost 2.8 pounds for a total of 14.8 pounds since January 4th.:banana::banana: I wish I could have lost that .2, but I'm still thrilled. After WW, I went to JCPenny and got another pair of work out pants and shirt and then headed to the gym. I'm trying a beginner runner workout, so I switched between running and walking for 30 minutes. The hope is that I can eventually run for 30 minutes straight (I'm a big wuss and can only run about 4-5 minutes :sad2:)

Just got home from the grocery store and had some lunch. Need to do some cleaning around the house and then shower and get ready for a happy hour celebrating our off track.

Hey Donna - Did you ever get signed up for the March challenge? ;) I think I'm going to update once a week instead of every day. Have you made it to WW lately? I'm actually nervous about eating during my break since I'm pretty much down to a schedule at work. I'll have to make sure to get my snacks in every couple of hours like I do at work. Bought a whole bunch of veggies to make salads so that they are ready to go.

My DH and I are going to an RV show tomorrow, so probably no gym for me, but I'll be doing lots of walking (and climbing in and out of trailers).

Hope your having a great day!!

Awesome job!!!! You're doing great and I know how happy and excited you are at what you've lost so far. Way to go!!!! :cheer2:

Good luck with the running program. Which one are you doing? I'd like to start doing something like that too so let me know exactly what it is and how it's working for you.

Hope you enjoy your time off work!!! :goodvibes

Morning....

Can't believe its Wednesday already. Week goes by fast when your sitting around doing nothing :)

TOM came to visit yesterday and is kicking my butt today. I'm so bloated and the scale was up a pound. I know it'll be back down, but it's like a kick in the gutt to have to see that. SO not going to the gym today. Can't even get motivated enough to do a Wii Fit :guilty:

Today I'm babysitting a friends 3 little ones, so I'm hoping I'm up for the challenge and then bowling tonight.

Donna - The running program is going okay. Just not a runner, but I'm trying. I do a 2 min run then a 3 min walk for 30 minutes. Did it Monday & Tuesday, but just not up for it today. Will probably do tomorrow and Friday after weigh-in. After a week, I'm supposed to do a 3 min run and 3 min walk for a week and then keep going up from there until I can do a 30 min run/jog. I'll just keep plugging away at it.

Looking forward to getting to 15 pounds this week. Hoping for a 1.5 loss to keep up with my goal. Only need 5 more pounds before the end of the month for my 20 pounds

Guess I should get myself together enough to go out in public ;)

Morning....

Can't believe it's Thursday already. I said that yesterday didn't I?

Feeling a little disgusted this morning and just needed to write (type) it down. The scale is at 187 this morning and I was at 186 yesterday. Why am I up a whole pound? :confused3 TOM was really heavy yesterday and I'm still a little bloated, but just didn't feel bad enough to be up. Was going to weigh-in tomorrow morning at WW, but now I'm considering on waiting until Saturday morning. I really want to get to my 15 pounds, if not a little over. I've been doing great tracking and working out has been good. Just hope its a temporary thing and I'll be back down tomorrow.

Okay, down with my whinning:)

Heading to the gym in a few minutes and then I so need to get some stuff done around here. Want to take some stuff to Good Will and clean off my desk.:woohoo:

You ARE doing a fantastic job so keep telling yourself that! If you don't, well then I guess I'll keep saying it for you lol ;) I don't have TOM anymore since I had a hysterectomy a few years ago. I have to admit, I DON'T miss it at all!!!!! I know it's hard not to let the darn scale get the best of you but you know that you're doing everything right and if you stick with it, the results will be there!

I really need to get on here more and check in with you. Just been in a little "funk", but it's mostly the stupid weather. It's actually been nice this past week though but supposed to cool off again.

Let me know when you decide to weigh in and how it goes. Just keep repeating to yourself that you're doing AWESOME and congraulate yourself for every pound and ounce lost. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you that your loss is a good one this week! :goodvibes

You know...I really need to start some type of running program like the one you mentioned. I'm definitely not a runner either but think it would be kind of fun to see the results of being able to actually build up to running like a 5K.

Lost 1.6 for 16.4 pounds so far :cool1::cool1::cool1: Was very excited to get to my 15 this week. I was going to wait until tomorrow, because I think I would have been down more, but figured I'd be down at least a pound and wanted to get it out of the way. Only 3.6 more pounds and then I'll be at 20% and lost 20 pounds. Yea me!!

The running program is going pretty well. I'm not sure I'm getting to the gym today, but tomorrow I'll continue and hopefully by Monday I'll be ready to do my 3 min run 3 min walk

Might want to change my 30 pound goal by June to maybe 35. Give myself something to really work for :yay:

Wooooooot!!! You are doing absolutely fantastic! :cheer2: Bet you'll hit that 20% within just a few weeks. Excellent job!!!! :woohoo:

I HAVE to get my head screwed back on straight! I've really been slacking the last few weeks and know for a fact I've put back on a couple of pounds. I am bound and determined to get a handle on it before it gets more out of control. Monday I AM hitting the gym and would love to try the running program you're doing. Could you tell me exactly how it works and what I need to do to get started? I'd really appreciate it.

You, on the other hand, keep up the awesome work! Again, you're motivating and inspiring me to keep on pushing forward so THANK YOU!!!!!

Well I'm not getting on here as often as I had hoped :sad2: I can't believe how quickly the last two weeks have gone by. I only have one more week and still haven't gotten done the things I had planned. Tomorrow DH is staying home so we can get some of that Honey Do List stuff done:cutie:

This week has been good for food and tracking and I've worked out 3 out of the 4 days this week so far. Might as well take advantage of longer workouts while I can because once I go back, I'll be back to 45-60 minutes and no more.

Tonight I'm going to bunko and was hoping to weigh-in this morning, but the scale was only down about 1/2 pound, so I thought I'd take the chance and hope tomorrow will be better. Just hoping for a pound loss (if not more) Tomorrow night I'm having happy hour at our house to celebrate St Patrick's Day and not sure I'll be good enough to weigh-in Saturday. I guess worse case, I can go Sunday morning. Only 13 more days to get to my 20 pound loss goal and I have 3.6 pounds to lose. Not sure its going to happen, but will get as close as possible.

Donna - How's the week been for you? Have you gone to weigh-in recently? Don't let yourself lose control too long. I'm still kicking myself for waiting so long to go back to WW. I thought I could do it myself, but actually going in and weighing in makes such a difference. Hang in there!!!

Finally got to WW this morning. I had planned to go Friday morning, but after going to bunko Thursday night, I was up a little and figured I'd wait until Saturday. Then Friday night we had happy hour here and I thought I did okay, but felt really bloated, so I didn't go Saturday morning. I did spend the day drinking TONS of water and did get my WHOOSH this morning and lost 1.2 pounds:thumbsup2 I'm only 2.6 pounds away from my 20% and my 20 pound goal I had set for myself to lose by the end of March. VERY happy.... Had a good workout after WW and I don't think I'm going to make my 2000 min exercise challenge. I have one more week off of work, so I'm going to try and get some extra minutes in while I can.

Was looking at pictures of myself when I turned 40 (3 years ago) before I had gained back a lot of my weight. It's amazing how thin and young my face looks. I want to be like that again:cloud9:

The WW meeting was really good this week. Talked about how if you had a bad day and ate something you shouldn't have, don't worry about it... just move on and also that you can't give up everything you love, that you just have to make better choices and use portion control. I beat myself up all the time if I spurlge a little and have to remember how well I'm doing and just move on :)

Good for you, Tera!! :cool1: You're doing a wonderful job...SO proud of you and again, SO appreciative of the encouragement you're giving me by keeping this journal I'm glad we have FB so we can keep in touch that way since it's hard for you to get on here as much as you used to. Anyway, WAY TO GO on another awesome week!!!! I know exactly what you mean, I tend to beat myself up as well if I splurge. It's hard to get over that mindset but I do try to tell myself that if I restrict myself too much, it ends up back-firing and blowing up in my face. You must be doing things right so allow yourself a treat now and then :)

If I don't post on here, I'll catch up with you on FB. And again....GREAT JOB!!!!!:dance3:

Morning....

I can't believe my 3 week break is over already. Where did the time go? I so didn't have enough time to get anything done.

So I finally got to WW yesterday. I had meant to go Friday morning, but the scale wasn't down, so I thought I'd wait until Saturday. Friday night we went out and even though I was good, the scale still wasn't down. Figured I had to go Sunday no matter what and ended up being down 1.6 pounds:cool1: Pretty happy with that loss and I'm only .8 away from my 20 pounds. I had wanted to hit my goal by the end of March and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it (even though I won't be weighing in until April 2nd) My next goal is 10 pounds by June 1st, which I'm pretty sure I can get, if not more.

So today I go back work and I'll be mentally counting down the 9 weeks until the end of the school year.

Donna - Thank you! The weather here is finally warming up and it sure is a motivation with shorts and short sleeved shirt season coming to get my butt in shape :yay: The meeting yesterday talked about Buddy system and having someone to do the program with. I know what you mean about restricting yourself too much. I'm so focused on losing this weight, I hardly let myself slip up, but I feel like I'm depriving myself of so much. Yesterday I had a slice of chocolate cake I've been saving since Friday and we went to Outback to eat and I was sitll down this morning on the scale. Just need to make sure to stay within my points, but no reason I can't have something "sinful" once in awhile :littleangel:

Hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Woohoo AGAIN! You are doing an amazing job!! You won't have any trouble at all hitting your 10 pound goal by June 1st, that's totally doable. Have you thought about what your final goal is going to be? Great job once again...you rock girl!! :cheer2:

Wow! Your break DID go by fast! It sure didn't seem like 3 weeks ago that you said you were off. Isn't it funny how time at home goes by so quickly but at work 3 weeks might as well be 6 months! At least you have summer break to look forward to and hopefully that will be here before you know it. My kids start spring break this coming week, which they're really looking forward to.

I haven't been on FB much lately but am planning on keeping up with you on there (as well as here) more than I have been. Oh! I saw your comment to me about us going to Vegas....I'm SO THERE!!!! I've never been but DH and I have plans to get there within in the next year to year and a half. That would be so cool for us to meet up there and hit the casinos :thumbsup2

Hope the rest of your week is good and goes by FAST!

So glad this week is over. It was a tough one. Special Ed kids don't do well when their routine is disturbed in any way. Hope the next 8 weeks get better :cloud9:

Hey Donna -

Sorry I've been such a bad friend. I have forgotten how exhausted I am when I get home from work, plus I've been working out really hard, so I just want to crash when I get home.

I went to WW on Friday and I wasn't able to weigh-in since I had weighed in on Sunday. Who knew that Sat was the end of the week for them?? Since they are closed for Easter tomorrow, I have to wait until Friday and try and get back on my schedule. According to the scale on Friday, I don't think I would have been down enough for my 20, but as of today, I'm definitely there. I'll wait until its "official" before I change my ticker.

So now that I'm at my 20, I'm shooting for my next goal of 30. I figure if I can lose 5 pounds in April and 5 pounds in May, I should be good (I've been averaging about 6 pounds per month). I'm not sure my final goal yet. I was at 144 for my lifetime goal and I think 150 is the highest I can go for my height, so I would need to lose an additional 30 pounds for a total of about 50. I'm just going to work on those smaller goals, first the 30 and go from there.

Went through my closet and got rid of all my size 14 pants. Still can't believe I let it go that far (got down to size 8, but wore mostly 10's) I only have a few 12's, so I'm going to need to get it together before capri & shorts weather or I might have to buy some to get me threw. Little pissed at myself... I must have gotten so frustrated with the weight gain that I got rid of all my size 10 jeans, including my favorite ones :guilty: Guess that means I'll need to buy new ones ;)

How's your kids spring break been? I saw that you started a new job, but I didn't get to hear anything about it. Do tell? :) Only 8 more weeks until summer and I have a feeling its going to go by quickly. We want to go camping the first weekend in May and break in the new trailer, than Jessica has her graduation towards the end of the month. We have family coming and a big party planned, so I'll be busy working and trying to deal with that. I think I'm out about May 28th and we leave for New Orleans about June 2nd.

I'll keep you posted how the week goes. I worked out 5 out of 7 days this week (would work out tomorrow, but gym is closed). We have a work challenge for the month of April and I want to get tons of steps in, so I'll start running again this week. Took my measurements this morning and no change except for 1/2 loss in arms :guilty: Need to pick up the weight lifting big time.

Hope you and your family have a Happy Easter (if you celebrate that)
