Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Thanks Sundie!!! I love being able to tell people how much weight I've lost. I'll feel MUCH better when I can tell them I've lost 50 or 60 pounds :earboy2:

Well, I haven't typed in my journal in a few days and I know I've been so bad. Tuesday was a great day with my weight in, but went bowling with DH and had way too many beers. I still think overall, it wasn't too bad. Wednesday I did well all day, eating veggies and trying to drink water, but went to our neighbors for our gift exchange and had a few too many drinks. Been drinking TONS of water since and hopefully I will flush that all out. My brother and his family are here, so watching what I'm eating is tough. It's almost that TOM and I can feel the cramping and bloating starting. Just need to get through this weekend and I should be fine the rest of the way to my goal....

Oh, I get a new washer for Christmas :earboy2: Ours died about 3 days ago :earseek: :earseek:

Hi Tera!
Sorry I haven't been able to post for a couple of days. Looks like I missed some BIG news! WOO HOOO!!!! You are SO close to 30 pounds! You are doing great, and I am so proud of you!!

You didn't miss the Biggest Loser because I had the wrong Tuesday! Duh! The last show is in January, if my memory serves me.

Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

May your days be filled with lots of laughter, joy, love, family and friends!

Thanks Terry... I was very happy to have lost so much that week. It really made up for that .2 that I gained the week before :earboy2: Not sure I'm going to make it to that 30 pound after this week, but I'm sure going to try. Eating hasn't been too bad, but I've had more alcohol than I should have  Also my TOM came as my Christmas present *lucky me :earseek: *

Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and the best to you in 2005

Not sure I'll get to my journal tomorrow so I thought I would post quickly this evening before heading to bed.

The gym has been closed the past couple of days and I hate not being able to work out in some way. It's been REALLY cold here, so even getting out has been hard. We DID get into the 40's today though :earboy2: Had 2 slices of toast for breakfast, a turkey sandwich for lunch and then had dinner after church at the neighbors. I had veggie lasagna, salad and a slice of garlic bread. Only had a couple of cocktails, so I think the day was overall pretty good. I haven't really been able to count my points the past couple of days, but I'm not worried too much about it. I've been trying to get water in me today, but not as much as I should. Tomorrow will be a busy day and plenty of good choices for dinner. I will (try) and avoid alcohol for the whole day. Sunday I'd like to go to the rec center and get a workout in and back at it Monday morning. My brother and his family leave Wednesday (thank GOD) and can get back to our routine (plus a semi clean house).

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday!!!!

Merry Christmas.

My girlfriend is moving to Broomfield,CO. She is excited about the move and can't wait to get there. Is that close to you?

Hi Wilderness -

Broomfield is north of us. We're down in Littleton.

My girlfriend is very excited and says the area is pretty. I can't wait to go visit her. She is going to be on the 5th hole of a golf course. Good for her kids and husband. She will have to take up golf.

Wilderness - Sounds like it'll be cool for them. Where are they moving from?

(Note to self)
First 10% goal 208-20.8=187.2
Second 10% goal 187.2-18.7=168.5
Third 10% goal 168.5-16.9=151.6

I just realized only 10 more pounds till I reach my 2nd 10% goal. Yeah me!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I think I've been doing well the past couple of days and have been trying to drink TONS of water. This morning I had a slice of apple pastry for breakfast, a lean cuisine meal for lunch. I'm going to have plenty for dinner, but just smaller portions. Tomorrow I'd like to go to the rec center to work out and Monday be back at the gym with my regular schedule. Hoping to get to WW Tuesday for weight in. My brother and his family leaves on Wednesday afternoon, but we'll head to the airport earlier. I'll be happy to get my house back in order and kids back on a schedule. Only need about a 1/2 pound to get to my end of year goal, even though I need 4.4 pounds for my New Year's Eve goal.

Did well with dinner tonight. Had a few small slices of ham and turkey, a small portion of mashed potatos, veggies and two servings of salad. I drank water, but I did have a roll and a half. Went to my neighbors for dessert and I had a very small slice of chocolate cake and small piece of peanut butter candy. I'm not feeling guilty at all and feel pretty proud that I didn't go overboard with anything, but I am SO bloated from TOM :earseek: Drinking LOTS of water and will head to gym tomorrow.

Just wanted to post quickly before I head off to the gym this morning... Got on the scale this morning (bad Teresa bad) and I was at 179.5, which THRILLED me because its TOM AND I didn't gain anything big from the past week :cool1: :cool1: yeah me :cool1: :cool1: I plan to have a GREAT workout today, watch my points (for the first time in a week) and drink LOTS of water today and I should be good for my weight in on Tuesday. We're actually talking going snowshoeing tomorrow, which would be GREAT exercise (and some aches and pains :earseek: :earseek: )

What is snowshoeing? You are doing really well. Good for you!

My friend is moving from the Bay Area in CA. She has the kids enrolled in school/religious education already. She is very on the ball with moving since she has moved alot in the last 12 years. I'm happy for her. Her house sounds amazing.

Wilderness - Snowshoeing is like hiking, but with these shoes on the bottom of your feet to help you walk in the snow. I've never done it, but hear its fun and great exercise.

I'm actually from the Bay Area, San Francisco to be exact. My DH and I both grew up there (he's from San Mateo area) and after we got married (almost 15 years), we moved to St Louis for 7 years and then here. I'm sure she'll love it here.

Had a great work out today, 15 minutes on the weights (upper) 30 minutes on the treadmill and 25 cardio. I felt good going since I NEVER go to the gym on Sunday (football!!) Of course, I got to watch it while I walked :earboy2: Had a turkey sandwich and a salad (no dressing) It was SO good :earboy2: Neighbors are coming over later for a game of pool, so I'm sure there are a few cocktails in the future for me. I'll drink lots of water now and follow up tonight with more. Tomorrow I'm back at the gym and hope all this retention from TOM is gone :earseek: :earseek:

Hi Teresa, Sounds like you did great over Christmas! The WW meeting i went to last Tuesday had a discussion about snow-shoeing. Sounds like fun. I've been trying to come up with ways to get my son (4.5 yo) out in the winter time. He is super high energy and being confined to our four walls is a real challenge. I guess some golf courses allow people to use them in the winter for such things. We have hardly any open land around here. I'm tempted to look into it.

I'm in a sugar stupor :guilty: It started at 6PM Christmas day and hasn't tapered off yet. I WILL START FRESH TOMORROW NO MATTER WHAT. As Yoda and your tag says "there is no 'try'"!!!!!!!! Just DO IT:)

Sundie

Sundie - Being close to the mountains, there are a lot of opportunities to get outside in the winter, we just haven't taken advantage yet

Don't worry about your sugar stupor. As they say on the DWLZ, "One day at a time - No guilt & Move on...." That's exactly what we all need to do during the holidays. You sound determined to start fresh tomorrow :cool1:

Hi Tera! Gosh, I've missed talking to you! I'm trying to get caught up. It seems like you are still doing amazingly well! I'm sending good thoughts your way for an awesome weigh in tomorrow. I'm believing you will get that 30lb. clippie tomorrow! :flower1:

Michelle!!! I've been missing you girlfriend. Hope all is well and look forward to reading your journal and see how your doing. Thanks for the good thoughts for tomorrow. Not sure it's going to help, but anything is better than nothing :earboy2:

Well today was fun, but I'm tired :earseek: Got up and went to the gym. Did 65 minutes on cardio (2 different machines) and felt pretty good. Got home and changed, then took the kids to Fat City (indoor entertainment place). We bowled a game and had lunch (I had a grilled turkey & cheese sandwich and fries) After, we roller skated for awhile (trying to burn OFF the grilled turkey & cheese and fries :earseek: ) DH and I played laser tag and then video games. We were there like 5 hours :earboy2: :earboy2: For dinner, I had the last of the salad my SIL made and FF popcorn for dessert. I'm a little worried about not getting my 30 pound clippie tomorrow since this morning I got on the scale again (bad Teresa bad) and I was at 180 (up .5 from yesterday). I know it's still water retention from TOM and a little extra from Christmas  We'll wait and see what happens. Next week I'll have to get it going to get close to my goal for our cruise :jumping4:

Tera, it sounds like you guys had a blast today! :cool1:

Even if you don't get your new clippie tomorrow it will come soon enough. Sounds like you could have burned off 10-15 pounds today though! LOL :earboy2:

I hear ya about the cruise. I was just thinking to myself last night that I have to crack down if I want to get any real weight off before then! I'm hoping to lose at least another 40lbs. before I leave and I know it's totally doable if I stick to it and there honestly isn't any reason I can't or shouldn't. I mean after all, we're going to take our picture together and melt the DIS! :teeth: puckerup:

Michelle - It was a blast, but I so stinkin' tired :earseek:

I know I can lose it and I know YOU can lose it, so let's get on the ball and lose it together!! I can't WAIT to post our picture together lookin' so fine :earboy2:

Hi Teresa,

What a great way to spend the day with the family. Sounds like you earned a gazillion APs :earboy2: I really hope you get your 30 lb clippie tomorrow, you really deserve it!!!!! Pixie dust you way... :wizard:

Sundie

Thanks Sundie!

Unfortuntely, the pixie dust didn't help this week :guilty: I gained 1.8 pounds, more than I thought I would :guilty: I'm back up to 180.2, failing my goal of being under 180 AND having my 30 pound clippie by New Year's. I know I still have 3 days to get there, but it's not official until I get it at WW. Oh well.... this is my first REAL weight gain since I started and I need to work harder. It's been a tough week with the holidays and family being in town and the worse "should" be behind me. I have just over 18 weeks till our vacation and should be able to drop another 25 pounds by then. It won't be my goal, but pretty darn close and I'll be 50 pounds lighter. THAT is an acheivement in it's own

Did 30 minutes treadmill and 30 minutes on the bike before my weight in. When I got home, took the kids to the rec center to swim. I did several laps with a kickboard trying to work out my legs. I think they will hurt a little tomorrow  Going out for mexican tonight with my brother and SIL before they head home tomorrow ( :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ) I will try and be good and drink LOTS of water.

Sorry about the little gain. It's those holidays. You will lose that in no time and more I'm sure. Good luck. Have fun tonight. :flower1:
