Tell us what rate & dates you got with the new codes!

Original ressie 10/4-10/11 at Pop MYW and Basic dining,2adults, 2 teens They applied it to my original ressie with a savings of $300.48 and it looks like I now have a preferred room. YEAH !!!! Wonder if I could save even more by not having preferred?

My MIL is a FL resident, so I called and was able to change out her reservation a bit. We had to make her two more ressies to save her as much as possible. We are staying at CR in the Garden Wing in a Standard View room.

For 12/10 the room was $236.25 with tax at the FL resident rate.
For the next 3 nights it is $258.19/night with tax at the AAA rate.
The last 5 nights are $236.25/night with tax at the FL resident rate.
This saved my MIL an additional $131 over what AAA offered over the 6 nights that she was able to apply it.

Originally booked for Dec. 11th-19th @ ASMo only preferred available for $94.00 per night. Called back morn AP rates were available and was able to switch to ASMu reg. room for $54.00 week rates and $64.00 weekend rates. We saved around $300.00 just by switching and applying the rate. :woohoo: BTW I had originally wanted ASMu anyways! Looks like pixie dust for our next trip! :tink:

Back in Dec 07 we received the 40% off deluxe postcard so I booked our stay at AKL CL but our arrival date was not included in the discount so I booked it at full rack rate $438.75 including tax. This killed me but it is my b-day an the discount rate for the rest of the stay totally made up for it.

Earlier this week I noticed the codes were out so I called and had it applied to the one night ressie so the price is now $354.38 including tax.

Saved $85...that will pay for the sunrise safari!

ASMusic standard room - 1 adult, 1 child, 1-day base ticket each = $375.02

We booked this. The same nights (room-only) with the AP rate were quoted at over $400!!!:scared1:

That's the difference between $84 and $94 per night (AP) and $49 per night (GP code). I'm sort of sorry I bought an AP now.

Just called, only availability showing for Dec 2-9 is at the Boardwalk. I was quoted $343/n for waterview room with AP room only discount. Was quoted $3725.82 for AP w/dining.

Using code DGL got me a quote of $3816 for the two of us water view at Boardwalk...needless to say I didn't change from my AAA rate at the Poly.

I had 3 nights at rack rate at the poly for $1346.61 and it got knocked down to $1093.50 for a savings of $253.11.

So definitely call if your hotel is not listed :thumbsup2

Did they do a new booking for you at the poly or apply it to you existing ressie?

Has anyone been able to book a preferred room with the code or are the only rooms available standard view? Just wondering as we are currently booked preferred and would hate to give up the convenience of a preferred room (also crossing our fingers to get poolside 60's!) :goodvibes

I was offered club level rooms at the boardwalk using the codes

Hi, :wave2:
Just wanted to tell you to keep calling back if you want to try and save a little on your trip. On Friday I called to make reservations for DH and I to celebrate our Anniversary :lovestruc and got the best deal that they could find for me. Was told everything else at WL for anytime around the middle to end of October was booked.
This was the orginial ressie:
7 nights at WL 10/13-10/21 with 7 day passes and dining and insurance using the QXD code and the total was $3731.58.

After doing some checking online late last night :surfweb: I called CRO back this morning and was able to change ressie to:
7 nights at WL with passes and we opted out of the dining (we don't eat that much for the 2 of us) and insurance using the DGL code and the total was $2348.62, a savings of $1382.96 and was still able to get tickets for MNSSHP on the 28th :woohoo:

Even if we had added the dining it would have been under $3000.00 but don't remember the exact cost, still a savings from the orginial cost.
I had a wonderful gentleman, Calhoon, at CRO helping me :thanks

I am excited, this is our first trip without the whole family :yay: since we are empty nesters now

Now I can add the airline cost and still be under what the orginial package was. Even better :thumbsup2

So just keep trying, it just may pay off

Just got some information that would answer some questions I saw posed on this thread.

DGL = MYW package discount
UVL = Deluxe dining package discount
QXD = Basic Dining package discount

I had used QXD (found online) and saved about $1000 between 2 different room resservations. I later called and tried to apply UVL as I have Deluxe Dining (thinking this would save me more money) and that was the code that the CM had originally applied (even though I asked for the QXD). So I'm guessing that it doesn't matter which of the 3 you ask to be applied, because they give you the one that makes the most sense for your ressies.

November 25-December 2
2 adults, 2 children (6 and 4)
6-day park hopper tickets
basic dining plan
Contemporary Resort, Garden wing/garden view
Original: $4,698.76
New Total: $4,044.06

Total savings: $654.70

(I'm still hoping something opens up at WL.)

I've just spent the last hour looking at all the rates on the WDW website and I think I might book

POP 11/15-11/19
$643.40
1A 1C 1 Infant
Standard room, no hoppers or waterpark

I just need to find cheap airfare

I just added another day to my reservation:goodvibes

Now will be there Nov 3 - 10 :yay:

I was under the impression that since I had booked before the price increase, the discount would be applied to my existing reservation - at the old price. But I've noticed that I am paying the same price as anyone else who is currently booking using the fall discount code.

Is this correct? I know it's silly but I feel kinda disappointed that I am not benefitting from the discount based on the old pricing (am I making sense?).

So I'm trying to figure out why everyone always seems to want to be sure that any new discounts "can be applied to an existing reservation"? Since there is no benefit I can see to doing that. Or why would anyone worry about it since you could just as easily book a new reservation.

Did my TA make a mistake? Should I be saving a bit more? :confused3

Our original Nov. 4 - 11th, 8 days, Pop res. 2 rooms "room only" was book back in March for $99 dollars (a great price). with tax the total was about 1670. We then applied the code: 8 days 2 adults, 2 children, hopper passes and dinning and it was $2325! I still can't believe it!!!
