Total saved from original reservation: $855 (32%)

The rack rate for Standard View room is $275/night, so the total savings if we had booked the same room type in our original reservation would have been $675 (27%).

It's not the 40% discount that we have heard about from previous years, but given what many others have been able to get this year, I'm thrilled!

I have a quote for the All Star Music Oct 27- Nov 2 for $2196.39. That is for 2 rooms with 3 adults, 3 children. Resort and 6 day park hoppers only, no dining. This would be almost $1000 cheaper than keeping our current reservation at POR,which we booked with the bounceback offer, even if you add in getting the passes thru the mousesavers link.

I'm supposed to be going with my sis and her family, but she has been talking about cancelling our reservation, as she feels poor. I'm hoping that by taking $1000 off the cost of the trip I can convince her she can afford to go. Wish me luck!

Have you tried to get the AP rates, we saved alot at the Moderate with it.

We were booked at POFQ Dec. 18-26 for $1804.47

No availability for French Quarter with AP rate, so we switched to Riverside for 1264.47, with a savings of $540.

originally booked room only for as sports for oct 2-9, with AAA discount: $665.79

used gp code and switched to package w/ dining: $730.12

when i tried the code on the disney website, it showed the rate of $920.xx
i called this afternoon and asked the cm to run the numbers for me as i had read on the threads of great deal with the codes.

cm did and twice told me if i dropped the room only and made a package of room, one night base ticket and dining, only about $65 more.

she didn't have to ask me twice .............

DH and I were booked at POR for 7 nights, no passes at $1299. Got 7 nights with 6 days of basic passes, no meal plan for $1244. That is a savings of $534.

We can't possibly eat two appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts at a meal, even one of us so we opted to skip it. I tried WL and BC but even POFQ were sold out. I am happy with this rate considering the tickets are essentially free, we don't have to rent a car anymore due to ME and I am in my favorite place.

At first she was only able to find a preferred room but I didn't want that, I wanted more discount! So, she said let me look at something again, and she was able to find a standard room! I think I figured the numbers correctly. Can anybody verify that I figured it out right? I was trying to figure the disc. percentage, but keep getting lost, it's late, late! It almost seems to good to be true!!

Original ressie was $3266 for 10/1/08 - 10/11/08 @ Pop with 10 day tickets with PH and basic dining, standard view, myself, DG, DD 8, and DS 6. Called yesterday morning used gxd and price dropped to $2720. $546 in savings paid for my mnsshp tix and still have $300 left for souvenirs.

We saved around $430. We have stayed at Sports before and it wasn't so bad. This is going to be a non-commando trip so we will just be going with the flow.
