Locations of larger and smaller pools, how far a trek it is to Main pool from buildings further out. Maps don't really give me a scale so I don't really have a feel for distance. Any help appreciated.

The main pool is at the Hospitality House. No slide but a nice pool anyway. The other pools are next to buildings 41 and 56. I would guess a ten minute walk from the Hospitality House to the pool by building 56 and maybe a bit longer for the pool by building 41. I doubt if you are more than five minutes walk away from any building to a pool in the resort. The other two pools are smaller than the main pool. I believe there is a snack bar for the pool near building 41. Don't know about one for building 56.

Hope this helps.

There is also a pool across from the bus stop on Millers Rd. bldg 19 or 20.

There are no slides at the OKW pools.

The main pool has a kiddie pool area and playground in addition to what was described above. It also has a sauna in the lighthouse next to the hot tub. You can get food and drink from Gurgling Suitcase bar or Good to Go take out window.

The other pool that offers drinks and light snacks is between buildings 41 and 42. It has the Turtle Shack snack bar which is open from 10-5 during most pool weather and later when the crowds are bigger, days longer, and the weather warmer. This pool is a brisk fifteen minute walk to the Hospitality House as you have to walk with the roads and can't take the straight line route. due to canals and golf holes. This pool has a small playground for the young ones too and a hot tub for the bigger folks. There is a laundry here, bathrooms, arcade, and ice machine. We stayed near this pool once and found it quite lively at all hours.

There are two other pools located between buildings 55 and 56 and also between buildings 19 and 20 that don't have drinks except from coke machines. Each has a small playground for the young ones too and a hot tub for the bigger folks. Each has a laundry, bathrooms, and ice machine. We have stayed near the 55/56 pool once and the 19/20 pool three times. All are great places to enjoy mostly quiet pools. the 55/56 pool is about a brisk ten minute walk to the Hospitality House. The 19/20 pool is about a brisk five minute walk to the Hospitality House.

Alas, no slides at OKW, but you can always trek over to BWV to enjoy Luna Park or for the younger tikes go next to to POFQ or POR to use the little slides. No matter where you stay at OKW, you can find a pool close and of the type you like.

There are four pools at OKW. It is a short walk to the pool nearest where you are staying. To get to the main pool from the farthest point out at South Point, I would say is between 1/4 and 1/2 a mile, closer to 1/4 but that is just a guess.

I could really care less about slides, but I did know that there aren't any at OKW. Thanks for all your descriptions, it helps me get a better feel for how close things are to each other.

WE love the quiet pool areas at both SouthPoint and Miller's road. Haven't stayed near Turtle Pond yet, but I hear that one has a snack bar. I like to go down to the hot tub late in the evening when most of the kiddies are out of the pool.

We just got back. We stayed by Turtle Pond, as usual, and swam when it was in the low seventies, high sixties. The water was warm, but once we got out, holy smoke!

MK was jammed on NY Day, MGM crowded but not bad Jan 2, Jan 3 MK was not bad, AK on Jan 4 was a blast, the parade was great. Jan 5 at Epcot was not crowded at all. Came home today. Weather was mostly 60's, one day 74 and one day 58.
