Teen Mom Series Finale

Interesting! I wish they would have explained this at some point, either on her 16 & Pregnant episode or at the beginning of Teen Mom. Without that kind of explanation, it just makes her sound even more disrespectful to her parents than she already is.

I believe they're Jehovah witness

If Catelyn is pregnant again I hope she will keep the baby.

I didn't understand why they did still pics.

When I clicked on the link for the story about Catelynn being pregnant, it looks like they have posted an Update with a statement from Catelynn saying it's not true.

I think Brendon and Teresa wanted to protect her as much as possible. For once it was nice to see parents put their foot down on the television cameras in front of their child. They have an open adoption, but its good they have rules on how their child is shown on TV.

Michael IS Farrah's bio dad. She calls him Michael because that's what he wanted. It has something to do with their religion. Besides, she looks more like Michael then her own mom.

Whoa, it wasn't his idea and it has nothing to do with their religion (???) and they're not Jehovah's Witnesses (for whom that's not a thing, just btw).

He is her biological father. She calls him Michael because her sister, who we saw last night, is actually a half sister, who is older than Farrah by a couple years or whatever.

When Deborah (Farrah and her sister's mother) married Michael and they had Farrah, her older sister was calling him 'Michael' as she had a different father she presumably referred to as 'dad.'

When Farrah got to speaking age, she just followed her sister's lead and called Deborah 'mom' and Michael 'Michael.' He said he has no problem with it, it's just a family thing, like everyone using 'Beezus' or whatever, because she'd copied her big sister and they'd thought it was cute.

They explained it on one of the reunion shows iirc, at some point.

I don't see the difference between photos and live images??

Here an article to the strange reason why Farrah calls him Michael

I kinda felt badly for Amber and Gary. You can obviously tell how serious her condition/addiction is. She doesn't appear at all like the same girl from season's past, not that that Amber was a role model! I'm surprised MTV continued to film. I never thought I'd say this but I can't imagine how Gary and his family (prob Amber's too but they don't show them much) felt living this. That 911 call was frightening! Kudos to him for doing the rigt thing for Leah and Amber.

I am glad that Farrah's family supported her with the move. She was moving to attend college and follow her dreams/make something of herself. Really, there is nothing in her hometown keeping her there-she just does not get along with her mom! She did act bratty last night but that's just her I guess-blame Deborah and Michael for that!

Usually I like Maci but how annoying was she with not taking Bentley to day care? Seriously? Way to be a supportive parent and want your child to grow and become independent! I do think she loves Ryan but I am glad she is smart enough to know that he didn't treat her well and doesn't have a great work ethic to support them as a family.

I was so happy to see Catelyn and Tyler finally show emotion about Carly! That has to hurt but getting it out has to help.

US Weekly is now reporting that Catelynn is NOT pregnant!:rotfl:

Really? That was where I first read about it this morning. They had an article with quotes and all about how "thrilled" they were and how they were going to keep the baby!

Farrah - Cannot stand her. At all. She is always complaining about being lonely, but she's major beech to EVERYONE in her life. It's not surprising that no one wants to be around her. I would like for someone to explain the Derek situation to me. I watched her 16 and Pregnant episode and she wanted absolutely nothing at all to do with him. All she ever did was bad mouth him, talked about him being a stalker, changed her number to get away from him, etc. She never mentioned him in season one of Teen Mom, either, that I recall. Then, in the second season she talks about how heartbroken she is that he died, that she will have to do all of this on her own, and that Sophia will never know her father. It seemed to come out of nowhere.

Amber - Completely agree with the person who said that Amber TRIES to be a drama queen. Gary, if you can believe it, is very much the best thing for Leah between these two. He takes care of her, watches what people say and do around her, and all Amber can do is yell and scream at him. And what was with her sarcastically telling him what a bad person she was? Uh, Amber, you do have a lot of darn near terrible qualities about you. I wish Gary could get full custody, but not until he got over Amber and moved on.

Maci - I think she is a great mother, but she doesn't really treat the men in her life appropriately. Kyle has been wonderful to both her and Bentley, but she doesn't seem to appreciate it.

Catelynn - Easily my favorite among the choices. I think that she is the most mature of the bunch which really isn't that hard to accomplish. I think that she and Tyler are the least selfish and really admire them for their decision. They are both working hard to make something of themselves rather than just saying that they are going to be something someday and sitting around acting like idiots and expect it to fall into their laps *coughJenellecough*. I do worry about how clingy she is to Tyler, though.

To me, Amber acted like she was "drunk" when she was talking to the therapists, it was wierd. And I was wondering how Maci can afford to live on her own?

Amber was (allegedly) abusing her anti-anxiety meds. She was probably still on a pretty high dose because it's dangerous to quickly and dramatically reduce one's dose of benzos or go off them cold turkey.

Also, the cast gets paid more than enough to pay for their own apartments.

To add to the lore as to why Farrah calls her father Michael, she has previously said that she stopped calling him dad “because I felt like he betrayed me for being on my mom’s side when she assaulted me; but I eventually got over it. I call him dad now.”

I understand why he tolerates it though. If she were my kid, I wouldn’t mind people thinking she wasn’t.

She is the worst. If she hasn’t been mortified by her horrific behavior on camera yet, she is hopeless.

Anyone think that Maci is just still in love with Ryan?

I think they both still have feelings for each other.

Kyle and Bentley’s relationship is so sweet. I hope Maci appreciates him.

Catelynn and Tyler are such good kids. Their first visit with Carly may have been the most touching things I have ever seen on television. I really hope that things will go well for them after the show ends. (That fake pregnancy story had me worried!)

The kids are at such a cute stage.

I loved that, when Amber kept loudly doing that "I'M A BAD PERSON....*pause and wait to be contradicted*... scowl when Gary does not contradict her' thing. Hilarious.

I think Maci is an awful mother and much of it was on display last night. It's all just all about Maci. She used Bentley as a pawn to mess with Ryan - she didn't book that airline ticket that afternoon. There was no reason in the world she couldn't have asked him to switch the time previous to the day before, as he was asking about when she hung up on him. Way to treat your child's father in front of him, Oompa Loompa. She badmouths Ryan to Bentley all the time as well, telling him directly not to be like his father, etc., it's horrid.

Then she used him as a pawn with Kyle, calling and making Bentley say 'come back' into the phone? She's messed up.

I can't even with the constant going on about how she won't be able to leave Bentley at daycare, because Bentley will cry and it'll be so hard, etc., so Kyle will have to - all in front of Bentley.

Yeah, perhaps "great" was the wrong word. I do think that she is the best mother of the four on this show. Catelynn doesn't count since she made the right decision and has given her child to a good home who can raise Carly better than she would have been able to. That leaves Amber, Farrah, and Maci. Well, Amber chooses jail over her child. She hits Gary in front of her child. She cusses in front of her child. I don't think she will win mother of the year anytime soon. Farrah appears to be a decent mother at first, until you realize that she has absolutely no friends at all because she is a horrible person and has made Sophia replace all of the friends. She talks to Sophia about her little tromps with Derek - a man that she absolutely despised during her 16 and Pregnant and had nothing good about him to say - yells at her parents in front of her, is horribly disrespectful to every one in front of Sophia. Those are not appropriate behaviors. That leaves Maci. She does include Bentley in her life and makes sure that he is well taken care of. Plus, she does most of that on her own without much help from her parents. So I think that Maci is the best mother on the show..... unless I can count Theresa.

Cornflake has some unnatural hatered for Maci for some reason. No one really knows why LOL. She is by far the best mother there is. Hands down

I was finally able to watch the second episode last night.

When Tyler and Caitlyn were crying I was in tears. My heart just broke for them, I REALLY think they would have been awesome parents.

I was a little bit older than them when I had my first daughter, we were 19 and 20, no money, living on a prayer. Everyone suggested adoption, abortion etc. We decided to raise her and do our best and I really think we surprised quite a few people with how engaged and involved we have been as parents regardless of our age. Part of me really wishes they would have considered keeping her - and the rest of the teen moms would have given theirs up for adoption.

I have to admit I dont care for Maci much, I did but after seeing last episode, how she had Bentley call Kyle and the crap she pulls with Ryan, unbelievable...and for most of the episode she looked HORRIBLE.

Amber, what is with the slowly ....dropping....her....head...into...her...hands...slllooowwwllly closing her eyes to cry. OMG this woman irritates me so much, she cant even cry right in my opinion. WTH is she on??? Or do you think its just the theatrics of her "addicted to drama" personality?
