Technical Difficulties

I was just wondering if any other people had problems this morning getting through to book the DCL Adventures. I was on hold for over 15 minutes then got hung up on. Called back for over another 15 minutes and finally got through for another wait of 12 minutes. After all that, I was told I was wait listed. Very disappointing! This is for the Copenhagan pre-cruise before the June 29th 11 night cruise. She couldn't even tell me the rates. Did anyone get to book? If so, would you mind letting me know the price? I was trying to book 4 adults.

OMG! I had the same problem this morning. It took over an hour for me to book the Baltic cruise add-on for July 22nd...luckily, we were able to get it.

But because I booked with Costco for the cruise, I went back and forth a few times before finally being able to book (and I, too, was so worried it would be booked up).

I really don't understand why they won't show the price online or even let the ABD reps tell you the price (if you've worked through a TA). This whole booking process was an incredibly poor customer experience.

My TA got through. 12n Baltic add-on is 3389 pp. there is a possibility too that they will add an ABD to the Norway cruises at a later time.

I had a different kind of frustration. I did hear that there were technical difficulties, but May 30th cruise wasn't one of them (luckily). The ABD rep was able to quote me the embedded price for 3, but then told me I had to call Expedia, because the cruise was booked through them. (I already knew that but I called Expedia this morning 8am and the rep had told me that Disney said to call them directly.) I will say, Lisa at ABD was amazing!! She told me exactly what to tell Expedia, the TA ABD number to give them, as well as exactly what they needed to do.

I had to call Expedia 4 different times before I got someone willing to listen to me. They are really clueless over there and all of them expressed that they have never heard of Adventures By Disney. So, eventually, one awesome Expedia rep. Marlene took the time to listen to me and after being on hold for over an hour she was finally able to get ABD booked.

So overall, my insistence and patience paid off (or put me more in debt ) but I would not have known what to do if Lisa hadn't walked me step by step through the process of what to tell Expedia.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Did the phone number go directly to ABD or to DCL? Because DCL is *infamous* for having glitches! If it was ABD -- I don't know what to tell you. I *REALLY* hope it all works out for you, and you get booked!

When that kept coming up saying they were have difficulties that were out of their control, I tried calling the DCL Castaway number and got the same message.

I hope they call me soon! I am being a slave to my phone - lol!

The 6/6/ 15 pre-stay and possible embedded ABD are not in the system as of yet.

They are wait listing guests interested.

Spent 3 hours on the phone today trying all phone numbers and never got through. A colleague got through in 9 minutes.

All had tech difficulties and ABD management is aware.

We booked the 7/10 Baltics add-on this morning. Or I should say that our fabulous Dreams Unlimited TA did it for us. She ran into issues with the various phone numbers as well but managed to get to the right people and book for us and another family. I understand the 7/10 Baltics add-on sold out by mid-morning! I am very excited

WOW! I did not think they would sell out that quickly, but I guess that cruise sold fast, so it's not as surprising that the add on would sell fast.

While ABD lists these trips as sold out, please keep in mind that they have the same cancellation policy as DCL cruises.

These add-ons can be canceled up until 90 days prior to departure without penalty.

Also, if guests that held space on any departure do not submit there additional despot, these spaces will open up again.

If you missed out on booking one of these add ons, it's my opinion that you will be probably be able to find an opening in the future.
