Evening everyone. Well I see from several of the post most are busy this weekend. Hope you all have lots of fun.
I will be making cookies with the kids on Sunday and then my mom, brother, and I are going to the MGM Grand in Detroit for dinner. I will talk to all of you on Monday.
Have fun and welcome back! :goodvibes

I won't be on much until Monday either. We have church tomorrow and then we're going to K's mom's house to help set up her annual white trash/dirty Ms. Claus with Santa playing the piano display in the front yard. :sad2: Monday night she has all the family and friends over for a huge dinner that includes lots of people standing around the front yard drinking and smoking.
Merry Christmas y'all!!! :santa:

I'll take pics for you all of course! ;)

Oh, forget the pictures...We Need video!:thumbsup2

If you haven't gotten a card from me, then there's something wrong. They went out a week ago Thursday. Janet, I didn't see my name on your list of cards you received. :confused3

:sad2: I thought maybe you didn't love me anymore:rolleyes1

Dawn...:rotfl:

You CANNOT go there and NOT bring back pics.

:lmao:

Please. Pretty please.

See response above...no pictures VIDEO! ::yes::

You know I will. :rotfl:

Did I mention the display has a whole band of animals in human clothing playing instruments? :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have a good Margie!

CE - Glad the boys had a good time at the sleep over. Sorry D is stuck in LA for so long!

::yes:: I'm sending them away every weekend, now. ;) :rotfl:

D - I just am worried. The word is that he's confirmed on a flight for Monday morning, but if tomorrow is as bad as predicted, I'm not sure that will actually go, and then we're starting to get into areas where I REALLY want him home and it might be iffy.

Oh no, I suppose you're used to it but even so  And I hope MIL's parcel gets there!!!!

I am, just worried about Monday's flight really going, then running into Christmas Eve and such.

And the package didn't go. :headache: I called the post office this morning, and they won't even start trying to find it until Monday. Too late for me. Sigh.

So, listen to my morning.

Oh, my. Hope you're partying hearty! ;)

Do you think it'll be weird to put up the Tree 3 days before Christmas? :rolleyes1

Ok off to get ready for work!

Nah, it will be fine. Have a nice night at work!

CE & Mel - Sorry the snow is making your lives a challenge. It sux when there is a bunch of it. I'd take it over the ice mess we had the other morning. Nice tree, Mel. And CE the block party sounds like fun!!

It really is. It's nice because Christmas Eve was the "big" night for me growing up, and the first year we were here, we ended up at Chili's and it was just weird. Now we have a fantastic tradition and I don't get quite so upset at not being "home." :goodvibes

Girls and boys, I'd rather drive in snow!!

Yikes, no joke!

So, you won't believe what is happening at my house right now...#2 and #3 son are outside have a water gun fight. Yup. December 20th. Water guns. :scared1:

:rotfl:

JLater on this evening, Jon, T, and I will be going to a light display. We have a local eatery who has a Christmas light display on the side of their building. You tune your radio to a certain station and every 1/2 hour, the lights play in time to Transiberian Orchestra. :teeth:

Should be fun!

Sounds great!

So, a bit of good news for us today! :yay:

Woohoo!

Well, I thawed out 4 large burgers for supper.......put them on the counter to DIS a bit.........then came back and they were GONE..........found bits of plastic all over the floor and a very happy Bear prancing around. :headache:

Oh, dear. I came home and Linus had apparently gotten up on my island and broke my snowman salt and pepper shakers... :headache: He's frickin' 10 years old - shouldn't this behavior be done by now?

Well, since you all seem to have lives on Saturday night and Jim and Jimmy just left to take Jim's sister home, I am going to take ahower and go to bed. I will chat with you all tomorrow. I probaly won't be here until later. We hare heading out early to got o South Philly for all the Christmas Eve Shopping. THen we are picking up the principal of Jim's old school and taking her to lunch. (She is the one who was willing to take Jimmy at her school when he got kicked out of the other H*** Hole!) Have a good evening and Sunday everybody!:goodvibes

You, too!

*************************************************
Well, I think it finally stopped snowing. It's supposed to start again at around 7:00 in the morning.

It's lovely and all, but the roads are NOT clear and it was a challenge today.

I took the boys to their basketball practice, and then we went to the bank to deposit all the contributions for the teachers' gifts, then got the gifts. The restaurant (D's & my favorite date place, here in town) was having a 10% off sale, so I got them each $75 certs for $62.50 and then movie cards as well. :thumbsup2

We got Old McDonald's and came home.

Then my neighbor called and needed to go get a game for her older DS, so she asked if her younger DS (2nd grade, one of Woody's best friends) could come over for a while. That worked well, and then the boys went to bed when he went home.

They seemed really tired - I know they went to bed a little late for them last night, and Buzz woke up early. Put together with the party, playing in the snow, basketball, then the neighbor, I can't believe they were still standing. :)

I don't know what else is up tonight. I am thinking of my normal bath, or maybe just hanging out and heading to bed early. I am sure there is more snowblowing in my future.

Hugs to all! :grouphug:

Trying to catch up....

TE, did you not get a package yesterday?

Z, please put up your tree!

T and Mel, I'm a skinny white girl trapped in a fat white body. It's probably because I like the nachos.

doxy, don't worry, NC weather is wacky. The day started at 70 and is around 45 degrees now. I'm pretty sure it is snowing in the mtns.

Katt, I'm still waiting for my tags.

Hello to everyone else!!!!

Hmmph! on top of losing my tags, my bows were all squeeshed so I have been hand tying bows from ribbon left over from my gift basket business. It is taking me for-ev-ah.

I had hoped to post pix from the cds I just had done at WalMart ! I have the Girls redone rooms ! But I can't get them to load into my photobucket . Keeps ejectingthe CD !! Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong !!!

Oh no, CE! :guilty:

If he's still here on Christmas Eve, I'll be sure to scoop him and bring him over for a good ol' disfunctional Mexican Christmas Eve. ;)

I'm burnt out - didn't even read past this last page. We made 12 dozen tamales. I was the paper wrapper, 'cause the whole process grosses me out. I'm all tamaled out - I need a shower to get the stink off. I smell like a freakin' corn field. Blech! :scared:

Have a good night, all! :flower3:

We had terrible news yesterday. Just terrible. I know that I have shared with you the terrible battle our friends are going through. Emilie was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma while pregnant, surgery was done, she and the baby survived, after delivery she had a full CT scan to reveal the cancer had spread to her lungs, liver and hip. Their baby is now 9 months, their other son is just 2.5. Emilie keeps an amazing Blog, which has been an honest account of her strength and weakness as she battles this awful fight. I have posted the blog a few times along her journey. If you are interested in reading her last entries, you can find her at: lemmondrops . blogspot . com (take spaces out)

One of the hardest posts... Knowing it was coming... one is never prepared to read it.
"the next ... and probably last ... chapter in my life" Quote from Emilie

________________________________________________________________

Kat- I will be thinking of you today when I make my cookies.

  ..... How did the cookies come out?

Ok, you should see me when I make a turkey. Bob cracks up because I'm so freaky about the "raw poultry germs." I get the bird all done, then I wash my hands (HOT water) then I scrub every surface that MIGHT have come in contact. Then I bleach the sinks out and then all the washcloths and dishtowels get replaced. I have a serious aversion to "icky" myself!!!

And that is why we get along so well!

****************************

Thanks for the suggestions for my aunt. If I had more time the digital frame would have been a perfect idea. For now, I'm looking at what they have a Figis...thanks Kat.

Awesome! We order from there generally once a year for something for us for christmas eve todather, theyare decent priced and the stuff is good!

No flames, but Andy brought me a copy of the movie, Twilight so I'll watch that this afternoon. pirate: Then my SIL is coming over to help make tamales. Blech. :scared: To the tamales, not my SIL. ;)

You can't walk down any given street in NYC without seeing bootleggers with crazy amounts of movies! Did you like Twilight??

Long story short.

My doggy aspirated in the middle of the night and she now has pneumonia.

Lots of money.

I know how that is, there really needs to be pet insurance! I spent my rent $ on the cat once, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat sadly.

::yes:: pretty much. Tamales are in a corn husk and pasteles in the plantain leaf.
My mom is making Pasteles and coquito (coconut-rum drink thing) :thumbsup2

Oh I know the coquito!!!!!!! Remember I have a hispanic soul deep down...LOL.

_______________________________________________

The party was great!!! I took lots of pics, I'll post 'em tomorrow I have to sift through them and pick out the good ones to upload. Turned out to just be D, Luis and Pants. We ate all the food! All that is left is the baklava and some mini creme brulee Pants brought because we were too full to eat desert...so more for me tomorrow!!!

We exchanged gifts.... I got Disney stuff! All my friends always walk in with the Disney bags...lol. I got an awesome book called Mickey's Treasure with all kinds of pull outs and things in it from Pants. He also got me a GORGEOUS sapphire/diamond ring! From Lou & D I got Disney table ware... the mickey body parts stuff. 2 dishes each of the china and all the shaped serving platters plus matching place mats! Now I wanna go there and buy some more to match them! LOL.

KC got an engraved zippo lighter, gift cards so he can go buy games and a shirt that says "No I won't fix your computer!" Priceless! He and Andy are also going together to see Avenue Q.

So a good night, and everyone left early enough for us to clean and relax.

Now tomorrow its on to the baking!!!!

Finally done wrapping, after about three and a half hours! :scared1: I'm exhausted, so I'm headed to bed.

We're going to go visit the MIL in the hospital tomorrow after church, so I probably won't be around until later in the afternoon. Don't get too chatty! :rolleyes1

Good Morning!!!

We have a couple of those around here. They are so cool!

AWWWWEEEE!

Just heard from DH who has just checked in with his mom. The doctors are now saying that she does NOT have any fractures in her vertabrae (very good thing). The vertabrae are just twisted. So, she is back in the mechanical traction for two hours at a time and they're hoping that she'll go home on Monday. When she goes home, she'll still have to wear the collar, but it's better than staying in the hospital. So, a bit of good news for us today!

Very Good!!! Got your card yesterday!! Thank You!

Hi Focker friends! Y'all sent the troops looking for me again!!

It's about time you checked in!

doxy, don't worry, NC weather is wacky. The day started at 70 and is around 45 degrees now. I'm pretty sure it is snowing in the mtns.

::yes:: I'm sending them away every weekend, now. ;) :rotfl:

I always feel guilty when I think that;)

D - I just am worried. The word is that he's confirmed on a flight for Monday morning, but if tomorrow is as bad as predicted, I'm not sure that will actually go, and then we're starting to get into areas where I REALLY want him home and it might be iffy.

The party was great!!!

Sounds like lots of fun. I love the Mickey place settings! I so want them, but Jim tells me I should talk to my next husband about that:sad2:

hi janet. they're going. nothing horrible, but just a lot of hassles!!

When are you moving?

=======================================================

Good morning all. THe weather is carppy and we have a ton of errands to to today. There is ice on the ground:headache: Why can't it just be snow.

After the errands, I have to get some luandry done. Hopefully we will be home by early afternoon so I am not up all night doing the luandry. The main thing is getting Jimmy's unifomrs washed, if they are done everything else can wait until I am off on Tuesday!

HAve a gret day everyone!:goodvibes

girl, you are always cooking!! :worship: do you want to move in with me??

Yes, but mostly cuz your dh looks like Jason Bateman....LOL.....

**************************

Everyone sounds like they're doing good. (Jodi, so glad about the MIL) Today Bob is taking the boys shopping for me. I'm going to clean the house because it might be the only chance I get with them OUT of the house for another 16 days!

The party was great! Delish food and great company. It ended up being 9 of us, and then Peggy's two middle children. Her daughter is dating a young man who's in the Marines and was home for Xmas. Nice kid!!! Ah, young love...:lovestruc

I have the coffee on and now I need to go get Bob outta the bed! I'll be around!

MEL:banana:

Morning Fockers! Wooo Hoooo...I actually have some DIS time today!!:cool1:

My mother's sleeping and Michael's watching cartoons so I've got some peace and quiet for a while. I almost don't know what to do with myself. Guess I'll go back and try and catch up on some threads...

OMG - The Michaelism of the day is...

"That is so 80's"...

A commercial just came on for some Bedazzler kind of thing and he goes, "Mom, that is 80's"...Nice...from the kid born in 2001...

:rotfl: I love Michael, LL. I hope I get to meet him someday!

 Morning everyone! Sounds like all of you are wrapping up your holiday bizness!

I'm checking in before we take off on our trip! To see...the motha. :faint:

Cross your fingers and send good thoughts!

 I'll check in later!

Forgot to say...before I leave...

Happy Hanukkah!!!!

We're having a get-together at the motha's friend's house.

Oh no, CE! :guilty:

If he's still here on Christmas Eve, I'll be sure to scoop him and bring him over for a good ol' disfunctional Mexican Christmas Eve. ;)

Oh, thanks, T. That makes me feel better.

Buenos nachos, T.

:rotfl:

From Lou & D I got Disney table ware... the mickey body parts stuff. 2 dishes each of the china and all the shaped serving platters plus matching place mats! Now I wanna go there and buy some more to match them! LOL.

I love those, too. :)

i have to admit i'm hoping for snow here on christmas eve, but i don't think it's going to happen.

I actually don't mind the snow, but I can't deal with another power outage. :headache: :rotfl: And I REALLY want school to happen tomorrow. If it doesn't, I both a) don't get things done, and then b) the parties are on Tuesday, which means that I can't have Tuesday afternoon free, either, being room mom.

I always feel guilty when I think that;)

:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Positive thoughts from here!

Thanks!

Sounds like lots of fun. I love the Mickey place settings! I so want them, but Jim tells me I should talk to my next husband about that:sad2:

:rotfl:

Today Bob is taking the boys shopping for me. I'm going to clean the house because it might be the only chance I get with them OUT of the house for another 16 days!

I hear that. My parents and grandma aren't showing up until next weekend, but with Grandma coming, I need the office (2nd guest room) to be clean, and I doubt I'll be doing it Christmas Eve, you know?

Morning Fockers! Wooo Hoooo...I actually have some DIS time today!!:cool1:

Yay!

OMG - The Michaelism of the day is...

"That is so 80's"...
