How was golf?
It was good, I won 50p about 75 cents :rotfl2: Make sure you don't wear yourself out

Glad he was okay, but a phone would have been at least polite!:confused3
I know!!!

Evening all. The snow started about 7:00pm. Now they are saying there is a possibility of 2 1/2 feet.:scared1:
Yikes, how much did you actually get?

Well, actually... This is an iffy story to tell, but since we're pretty anonymous - y'all don't know her last name, her mom's name, where they live(d) etc...
Wow, I thought more along the lines of what she got up to with the boys at 16 :rotfl2: That must be very tough on Deb to read things about her wedding, why didn't her Mother get rid of the letters and stuff?

Still no word at all from my friend/neighbour. No call, email or text it's very weird  What is also very weird is that her car was not there at all yesterday, from early until about 11pm. When we went to bed it was there but the husbands car was gone, very very strange :confused3 Both are gone this morning which must mean they've let the son go to football now if that was me he would be banned from that for a while!!!!

Jess had a friend round last night and all 3 of them slept in her room and get this they were all asleep by 11pm :faint: But that is good :rotfl2: She will be here all day as they have a party at 7pm tonight and as neither of her parents drive we're taking!

I hurt my hip yesterday, goodness knows what I did but it still hurts today oh and what was with Lost???? Wow it gets weirder and weirder, hope we actually get answers at the end of the series :rotfl:

:confused3 She did tell some friends - maybe at some point she thought she would tell the kids and so on. Plus, as I said, she kept EVERYTHING so that was just her way, I guess.

Wow. I'm intrigued by what must be going on over there! :rotfl:

Hope it's better now.

*******************************************************
Ugh. D & I stayed up too late - we were trying to get through more shows and started the last too late. We both fell asleep during it, and I woke up at 3:22 on the couch. :sad2: D heard me get up, so we both went to bed. I don't know what time we actually fell asleep, but I'm guessing it was about 12:30 or so. So, I guess we probably got plenty of sleep - just that several hours of it were on the couch. :rotfl2:

The boys have b-ball at 12:30 and D will have to pack and such before we go play tennis. There was some talk about going out to dinner before our 7:00 court reservation, but I've not heard from my friend yet - she had to check the master schedule (twins and a DS12 make for a lot of stuff going on all weekend) and so I'm not sure when we're leaving. D has to get up at 4:00 a.m. to go tomorrow, so we have to skedaddle right after we play, probably. The boys are going to their house - love her DS12! :rotfl: (Her MIL has an in-law apartment attached to the house, too, so whilst she doesn't sit inside their house with the kids, she's available should something arise. :thumbsup2)

I'm getting requests for the Saturday morning scrambled eggs, so I'll sign off. May or not be back later, but should be around a lot this week with D gone. ;) Have a good Saturday, my friends! :grouphug:

Anyway, her life was interesting, and the letters are TRULY fascinating - especially since, whilst I feel bad for Deb, it's not my mom, if you KWIM.

::yes:: And I am sure Deb is glad you are there to support her through all of this:goodvibes

D is so mad - have you looked at the map? It stops at MA...

Good, tell him to come down here and bring the snow blower. Just put the address if the GPS, he'llbe fine!:lmao:

OK, this one's pretty good, and, well, her ressie changes would do T & LL proud! :rotfl:

Just getting started as a PTR...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2388371

Will check it ou. I will be home bound for a few days;)

Yikes, how much did you actually get?

See below!

Weird.

Have a good Saturday, my friends! :grouphug:

You too!

Woke up to a foot and a hlaf of snow and it is still snowing. They said it is probably not going to stop until about 7pm tonight:scared1:

Jim and Jimmy are outside. They cleared a path for the dog to do her business. Poor thing, the snow is over her head. They are also starting on the walk and stuff to at least get a head start on it. We don't have a snow blower:sad2:

Not much going to be happening here this weekend and the way this is going, I'm thinking the boys will be off of school on Monday.

Guess I will go do some laundry!

What is this alarm you speak of, something you have or the city?

radio with weather alerts
You put in your zip code and when an alert is in your area, it goes off. Needless to say it's in the living room and not in the bed room!

But when she was looking before, she found a book her mom had written (her mom was a mostly wannabe writer who did a ton of freelance editing for actual salary) and a bunch of letters relating to her horrible gambling addiction from about '93 to '98.
 That would be very hard to discover.

My grandmother has kept a diary for as long as I remember, and as much as I think I'd find it interesting, I don't know if I'd actually want to read them.

It was good, I won 50p about 75 cents :rotfl2:
You will never hit it big with those payoffs! :rotfl:

Still no word at all from my friend/neighbour.
Very strange. Maybe they're embarrassed. :confused3

My friend is supposed to be coming back from Indy tonight, but all the news is showing is Philly, DC and Baltimore, so I don't know if she is or not. Stay warm.

My BIL is demolishing their kitchen so my sister brought Reid over for awhile before they headed on to Grandma's. Reid is spending the night there as my sis is going to Tampa for her friend's 40th. After putting in an offer on 9 houses, they think they will finally get this one. The inspection is next week. They will be moving the same time my mother is going to be here keeping Reid in March. No explanation, just she and my dad are coming and not my grandmother. :confused3

Also did you all here about McD's at DTD closing. Here is the article from the Orlando Sentinel

Wow, Janet. That is a lot of snow!

I love a lazy day! We've got cruddy rain again most of the weekend, so that stinks. I went on a baking frenzy last night and baked cookies and scones. I don't diet well when it's cold.

I'm still not sure what we're going to here tomorrow. My nephews Michael and Max want to come over and hang out and since they kids don't have school on Monday, we'll probably go to Disneyland.

I finally signed up for the Give A Day with Disney. The whole family is going to make no-sew fleece blankets. I think it'll be a fun, family project. :goodvibes

Anyway, stay warm everyone! Nothing worse than frozen Fockers. ;)
:hippie:

ETA: Ooh... CE. That's sounds like some juicy reading. My mother has had a journal for who knows how long. Not sure I'd want to read it, doubt it'll be a juicy read, but I'd still probably take a peek, KWIM? ;)

WOW!!! That is a ton, where you live are they good with dealing with it?

You will never hit it big with those payoffs! :rotfl:
I know at least I didn't lose though :rotfl2:

Very strange. Maybe they're embarrassed. :confused3
Maybe, I have no idea

Why is he demolishing the kitchen if they're selling?

I saw that, it's closing pretty soon!

I went on a baking frenzy last night and baked cookies and scones. I don't diet well when it's cold.
:rotfl2: did you make scones because we'd been talking about them? So what will you do with your GADGAD tickets?

KAT - hope your vow renewal goes/went well :goodvibes

The girls have been baking again, Jess made honeycomb and Ellie made lovely chocolate cookie sandwiches (buttercream in the middle rather than cream) and I've lazed around reading with Boo asleep on me :rotfl2: Jess has gone off to her party and D is picking up at 10pm, I have to stay with Ellie so can't go out :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: did you make scones because we'd been talking about them?
Ha! I just saw that. I had got quick-mix from World Market around Christmas time, so I thought I better use it.:goodvibes

So what will you do with your GADGAD tickets?
Since we're AP holders, we thought we'd just donate them, but our AP's expire in March, and I just read that I could use the GADGAD vouchers to renew our passes. :thumbsup2 I've even got Waldo signed up! He's going to make a blanket, too! ;)

Ugh! I'm so bored. I could work-out, or update my TR, but I'm not in the mood. I think I'll head to the CB and scope out a juicy thread. popcorn:::laughing:

Wow, Janet. That is a lot of snow!

::yes:: Jimmy just came in from pllaying while Jim was shoveling. They were out there since about 9:45:scared1: He's tired. I'm making some Hot Chocolate and they are both curled up on the couch watching the Hucleberry Hound Marathon on Boomerang!

since they kids don't have school on Monday, we'll probably go to Disneyland.

Why are the kids off:confused3

WOW!!! That is a ton, where you live are they good with dealing with it?

I have to stay with Ellie so can't go out :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Why, then you could call your neighbors and have them help you look for her;)

School holiday.. teacher training or something or another. :confused3

Meh... all the good ones get closed so quickly.

Now you've got me jonesin' for some Hot Cocoa. :teeth:

I've been playing around with the idea of going to DLP for a while, and now TE's jumped on the band wagon. It's hella-expensive, but they do have some good deals (Kids under 12 play and stay for free) etc. I was on the website and priced a fantastic deal for next March, when I realized it was in EUROS not USD! :rotfl2: Now I'm thinking of using DVC points instead and putting off another WDW trip for a few years. :thumbsup2 Honestly it's the freakin' airfare that's a killer! :faint:

Great idea! :thumbsup2

They started before they had decided on a house knowing that since the housing market is carp, it needed to be done before they sold, but if they didn't find a house, they would enjoy it. :thumbsup2

At this rate they can get into the Culinary Institute no problem. ;)

and I've lazed around reading with Boo asleep on me :rotfl2:
:cloud9: The best place to be.

Oh, ok. I only ask becasue our schools are closed on the 15th for President's Day.

Me too :rotfl2: Hope you had a good time at tennis :thumbsup2

Haven't been yet, but thanks. It should be fun, but it's too bad that we can't work out dinner after - D has to get up early, and one of her DD's has a gymnastics meet in the morning.

School holiday.. teacher training or something or another. :confused3

We have school on President's Day, since we have the whole next week off for the stupid "winter break" - but then we also have off March 9th. It's a totally random Tuesday, for workshops. At least make it a Monday, folks! :headache:

Honestly it's the freakin' airfare that's a killer! :faint:

Hope you can work it out.

*************************************************
Basketball was nice - there was a mom of a preschool/kindergarten classmate of Woody's on the other team, so I sat and chatted with her the whole time. My Book Fair co-chair's DS was on the other team, too, but her DH came and she didn't. ;) The kid loves Woody, though, so we wound up taking a while to actually leave - they were playing around a lot.

We are debating a run to the mall to pick up some dress shirts for work for D - he ordered them the other day, and now they're in. Since we're not having dinner with the tennis friends, we need to feed the kids before going to their house, too.

Then, the next game had as a coach the dad of the twins whom Buzz & Woody love at school, and he did invite me and the boys to their house tomorrow for the game, but I'm now on the fence. In some ways, it would be much nicer not to worry about getting stuff together, what time to get the kids home and in bed, etc. On the other, I like them and the kids would be thrilled. They are having people anyway - it's not like I'd leave them high and dry if I don't go, but...

Good Morning:goodvibes Where is CE? I don't like being first!

The snow is done, for now. We are dug out, but the roads (expecially the main road) still are not passable. THey haven't announced that schools are clesed tomorrow, but I will be very surprised if they aren't.

Now they are saying we are going to get anothe 8 to 10 inches on Tuesday Night into Wednesday. Excuse me, I dont live in Maine (or NH;)) we should not be getting his much freaking snow!

Not much planned for today. Laundry and Super Bowl. I have Chili cooking in the crockpot and then we are having picky stuff. Our neighbors are coming over for at lest the 1st half of the game. Depends on if there is school tomorrow if we watch the whole thng.

Hope you all have a good day. BBL:hug:

Good Morning:goodvibes Where is CE? I don't like being first!

Slept in, took the dog out, made breakfast... ;) Sorry. :rotfl:

I decided to go ahead and go to the game party at our friend's, for a while, anyway. But now I have to go to the grocery store for some stuff to take. :rotfl2:

We had fun playing tennis, but poor, poor D. He got a new racquet, and once we got started playing, maybe the second serve, he hit himself in the eyebrow, hard enough to cut it open. :scared: It bled and bled, and goose-egged a bit. He went and got ice and so forth, was really, really embarrassed, and finally came back. I promptly hit a hard overhead at his feet (a usual tactic) but the ball came up off his racquet at the floor and into his, well, areas. :rolleyes1 :scared1: :rotfl:

Truly, I felt bad, though he said once we got home that he totally didn't blame me - he said it was the right strategy.

Anyway, we stayed up too late (since he had to get up at 4:00 - it wasn't that late in the general sense) watching our Illini beat Michigan State. :lovestruc

The boys spent their Christmas money finally when we ran to the mall, on the second Indy Lego game, so they were happily playing that when they got up this morning. We have to do some homework before the Super Bowl party.

Have a good Sunday, all! :goodvibes

I would have thought that the city would be better at snow removal or is this just way more than you usually get? Will you have to work tomorrow?

I have Chili cooking in the crockpot and then we are having picky stuff.
That's exactly what I have too. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Poor D. I'm glad he's not angry.

I wasn't going to do laundry today, but as I was making chili, I got tomato sauce on my Colts shirt! It must be clean for the game, so laundry it is. :rotfl: The pool guy is here and almost done with his part of getting the fiberglass off. Then tomorrow someone else comes to do the next part. We're making progress. :thumbsup2 Again, not that it matters this time of year. Mitch is overseeing shooting practice on a simulator which actually sounds pretty neat. I've never shot a gun, but I think I'd like to try.
