It was at Temple’s Ambler campus. I love that campus, it’s so pretty, easy to get to, plenty of parking. I saw John Zaffis, I've seen him there before, he puts on a good lecture!

Ear Docotor went well, sort of. The MRI was clear I still feel like my one ear is clogged. I have to go back in five weeks for another hearing test. That's all I got!

Well, good, I guess. I hope that clears up soon – must be so annoying!

annoying day yesterday--Ab hit a car in the Walmart parking lot

Ah, geeze - that stinks! She'll probably be SUPER careful from now on though!

Buzz came home crying because he had such a bad headache. He didn't tell anyone at school. I don't know why not. Poor kid. I gave him some Motrin and he went up to bed, slept for about an hour and half, and came back down in time for homework and dinner, thankfully. No fever.

Sounds fun! My kids like watching the Ghost Hunters on TV and they were obsessed with them for a while. I'm glad they have moved from that phase. LOL

LOL! My grandson, he's 11, is into Ghost Hunters right now too. He's staying overnight with us on Saturday and I was trying to convince him to go with us to see Paranormal Activity at the movies on Sunday, but he's not buying it

I forgot about this part and now it's just bugging me ...

How annoying that whole thing is. You know I have a love/hate relationship with FB - sometimes it's just TMI!!

We went to IU Medical yesterday.
Doug has some swelling of the brain from the radiation treatment. They said that it is common. He is on steroids now. We have to watch for side effects from those. Plus if his hand/fingers get worse, they want to know. At least it does seem to be a temporary condition. The good thing is, unlike the rest of us, he has had no headaches.

I'm not feeling very well I woke up with a stinking headache and had to go to the loo, sorry TMI but I've had to go back there several times and have stomach cramps!!! I stayed in bed till almost 11 and have just eaten a few cookies, plain ones, and sipped some drink to try and feel better!!! I don't like it as I don't get ill

The instructor is in the process of filing a report and trying to get more people to do so. He's even made passes at other teachers and even offered one $100 if she would 'do something' for him. She was telling us so we know what was going on and then to see if any of us had him in any of our other classes, plus if any of our other friends had him in their classes. She suggested that if we did to go file a report and once they have enough on this guy (which I think they do) they will kick him out of school. This guy is in his 40's and his married. I guess he's even made comments on how he wants to kill his wife. So, yeah it's pretty scary once you hear all of this.

Needles to say a call is ging into Corporate about DISCRIMINATION!!! It was soooo blatant !!!

Hopefully have been called on it, she'll have gotten some food for thought!

Well, I've had a craptastic start to my day.

Woody woke up looking very glassy-eyed. I hated to do it, but I had to take his temp and it's up over 102. He was devastated about missing school because of the party and the parade.

Oh, what a bummer for him! Hope he's feeling better by tomorrow for Halloween!

Then I got the worst news. My dear friend from the twin playgroup who is Irish (all her family is still there) lost her mother just over a year ago to cancer, very quickly and very young. Yesterday, her 20 year old brother committed suicide.

Oh, what awful news - just devastating for the family

Party and parade at Jimmy's school went really well. The only issue I had is that went around the school yeard twice, so for 45 minutes I had to listen to the band play When the Saints Go Marching in. Couldn't you teach them another song

Well, I don't have pics of my kids in their customes, but I do have one of my Lilly. They had a puppy Halloween party at her day camp on Wednesday and she was Minnie Mouse. She won for Cutest Costume. I'm going to take her trick or treating around the neighborhood tomorrow night - only way I can get candy at my age

That's good news! You know, last night, we went out for a bit of dinner (and a Cosmo or two) and about an hour or so after I got home, I got severe stomach cramps - I only had two and they only lastest a minute or two, but it was so bad it made me severely nauseated and caused a bad headache while they lasted. I thought, it this goes on I just want to faint:, it was that bad! Luckily, no relapses!

Nothing much planned today. I just dropped Lindsey off at school for her Halloween party and school. They're having crazy day and I sent her off crazy looking. I'm OCD'ish when it comes to clothes and this just about killed me with the non-mathcing.

I have my test today and once I pick DR up from daycare we have nothing planned. I might have him carve his pumpkin and then Linds can do hers when she gets home from school. Or I bought this Halloween gingerbread house type thing for the kids and we might do that today after the kids get home from school. All I know is that it will be nice and relaxing.

Well here's my latest !! We took about 12 Consumers to a self advocacy meeting in Buffalo last night !! Stopped for supper as usual and this month they picked McDonalds !!Well they only had 1 girl on register for inside the other was doing the drive thru ,but in between she was helpinhg get the food for EACH INDIVIDUAL in our group who were EACH paying individually!! Behind us was 1 lady Wel this Drive thru Gal calls her up to her register by passing all the rest of our people !! The other supervisor I was with FLIPPED and let her have it ! She got really snotty with us ! Needles to say a call is ging into Corporate about DISCRIMINATION!!! It was soooo blatant !!!

Oh yeah, I think there would have been a smack-down if I'd been there. What a bunch of carp! Give everyone a big hug for me!

So, I had to drive him to school, but because our bus comes so early, I had to wait 25 minutes to take him.

Then I got the worst news. My dear friend from the twin playgroup who is Irish (all her family is still there) lost her mother just over a year ago to cancer, very quickly and very young. Yesterday, her 20 year old brother committed suicide. They don't know why. She's obviously very, very upset, mad, numb... It's awful. She's flying to Ireland today and her sis-in-law will take care of her kids. We'll do some food for them, but...

I am not in a good mood.

Thankfully, D is home, so I didn't have to drag Woody out to take Buzz to school. D's just left to do the tennis. I probably feel OK enough to have done it, but one of us needs to be home, and my voice is raspy, with a touch of headache. So, it's probably all for the best that I'm home with him for now.

One of us will need to attend the school costume parade in the afternoon, but we'll get to that later. I have some Math Superstars correcting to do, so I would kind of like to go so I can drop that off, but we'll see.

Sigh.

I'm very sorry about your friend. I hope Woody gets better soon.

I hope everyone stops feeling icky. I must have been having sympathetic headaches all day yesterday. They would just not go away!

Finished marcs costume last night and studied until about 2 am. Now im going to go cram a little more before I take my test. I wish i could get a nap in today. I just wont have to energy to go out tonight at this rate. I'll post our pictures on facebook later tonight so you guys can see them there. That way I can put them up from my phone.

OK, so my day hasn't improved much. Once D left for the gym, I looked around and found Buzz's homework folder still on the kitchen island. So, I felt like I had to run that to school early, as trying to deal with "business" during the parade/party seemed like a bad idea. Plus, I though D might like to hit the parade, but didn't know if he'd know what to do with the business end.

So, I went to school just before noon and dropped that off.

I came home, was home for about 45 minutes, and D decided he really had to do some work and I'd have to go the parade. So, I went back to school (that's trip #3 for those of you counting along at home) and saw the parade. It was fine, but it was supposed to be kind of a nice day and instead it's 53 and cloudy and very damp/cold feeling. Brr!

Awwwwwww...very cute! And to the candy. When we went trick-or-treating with my friends last night they took their 2 week old out. The mom felt bad for getting candy since she's only a baby, but dad had a fun time showing off his first born. LOL I told the mom not to worry about it, she's out celebrating her DD's first Halloween and this is what's it all about. Next year she'll be toddlering around and you won't be able to keep up.

The rest of my day was pretty slow. I helped the kids carve their pumpkins and we baked some Halloween cookies. We've now pretty much have watched Halloween shows or movies all afternoon and night. The kids will be going to bed here in about half and hour and then I'm catching up on my DVR'd shows.

I'm glad that's the case because it is certainly awful and heartbreaking that people treat others like that....I wish people would remember that in an instant something could happen and they could be the ones needing special help - or their loved ones. How would they like to be treated?

Just have to do a couple of errands - my car needs an oil change, I'm going to try one of those Jiffy Lube places as I have no more free oil change coupons from the dealer (they gave me some when I bought the car 3 years ago). I'm also going to look for a halloween pin and scarf somewhere, maybe I can get them on sale? Every Halloween I think about getting them to be a little festive at work and always forget until the day of. So, I'll be proactive for next year!

Good morning all As Denise said, it is rainy here, but the forecast is calling for it to stop and the kids should be ok for trick or treating. More importantly they should be able to play the game

Jimmy woke up at 7:30 this morning. So much for sleeping in my last day of not working (soccer tomorrow, so no sleeping in)

We have spent the morning making our Christmas list - the Toys R Us Big Book of Toys came today

Jim went to get his haircut and then is taking Tink to get her nails cut. Jimmy will get into his costume about 3:00 or so and then Jim will take him up to his mom's so they can see him. I will stay here to take care of the little ones that come out early.

That sounds good too! I think I'm going to do hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls and some good baked beans for Halloween dinner. I then found a really fun caramal/chocolate/coconut soft pretzel recipe I want to try for dessert - yum!

Tht hot dogs sound good and may run down to the store to pick some cresent rolls up to make that for lunch.

Jimmy woke up at 7:30 this morning. So much for sleeping in my last day of not working (soccer tomorrow, so no sleeping in)

Mine actually slept in until 9, which now-a-days is sleeping in.

Happy Halloween Fockers!​

The kids slept in a bit this morning and we woke up to rain. I hope it doesn't rain all day. We'll pretty much just be relaxing around the house until we need to get ready for ToT time. I just checked the forecast and it looks like it will stop raining just in time but will be on the chilly side. Hey, it's better than having snow!

Gonna run and get the kids ready for the day and start building our Haunted gingerbread house. Have a good day everyone!

We have Trick or Treating from 3 to 7 !! Which rminds me I better find the Candy and HOPE the kids didn't !!!

So true! It's actually 68 here! It's very grey - if it were sunny, we'd have 70's! Weird.

Woody's still cycling the fever with the medicine. When it's good and working, it's down around 100, and so if it's like that, I'll let him trick or treat a bit. We'll take hand sanitizer, and his face is covered by a box, anyway. He's now losing his voice - but it does make him sound somewhat mechanical.

D is carving the second pumpkin now, and we're just kind of having an easy day.

Jimmy is dressed in his Wolverine costume...wil post a pic later. Jim is going to take him to see his mom and dad. Then they are going to pick up some Burger King and bring it home for dinner. Then Jim will take him Trick or treating and I will stay home an deal with the trick or treaters.
