I can't believe I haven't checked in in like 2 days. Mon-Wed are so busy lately.

I am officially off of work until November 16th!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I have done nothing for the past 3 days as far as the trip goes. I am almost not believing we are really going! LOL. Tomorrow we are cleaning the whole house and packing everything. I have a big pile of stuff on the chair to be packed but haven't actually tried anything on yet to see what I want to take. Work was busy and hard this week, I need the vacation now.

I bought a few things at work since our 40% holiday discount kicked in. I got a jack Skellington votive holder and a sweatshirt to bring with me that says I Mickey new York (its a mickey head where the heart would be) and a World of Disney NYC carry on bag. I fear we will need several bags just to bring back stuff we buy this time.

I am off to download some audio books to take on the trip and then get some sleep. I'm sure I'll check in before the trip.

Living room and powder room done:thumbsup2

Videos returned to the library:thumbsup2

Package mailed out:thumbsup2

Dog walked:thumbsup2

Off to pick up Jimmy from school.

TTFN!

:faint: I'm tired just reading that!

So, the good news was that when I was ready to walk out of the house this morning, my neighbor, who works in the upper elementary school, called. She had heard that I'd said they didn't need more subs, but I guess they are desperate in her school, which is 5th-6th, and the schedule is only 5 minutes off my kids' school.

So, she talked to her principal and they called the superintendent's office. I guess they ARE into the new sub lists now, but starting with people who have a teaching certificate, then going to those like me with a non-teaching degree. But, they asked about me, which is good - my sub career might take off, after all! :thumbsup2

I was wondering what had happened to you and the subbing. I knew you were having or had trouble with the paperwork but missed what else had gone on. Hope you hear something about it soon!

Sorry about the loss in tennis though and hope you are feeling better!

I always buy 3-6 months as I always know they'll be bought loads of the small stuff :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 That was always my problem and the shower. Plus, they didn't want to find out what they were having before hand, so must of her stuff will be in greens and yellows. Time to get the baby some pinks and purples in her wardrobe!

I think I can feel my bum getting bigger by the minute I've sat on this sofa far too long today :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I feel like that on some weekends and I spend all my time in the computer chair.

I cleaned inside and out today. The patio had all kinds of wet leaves on it. Lots of earth worms were under leaves too. EWWWW! After I was done with my 'chores'. I went for a walk with Max. He is asleep next to my chair right now. I guess I wore him out.

Doug's right hand is developing nerve damage from the radiation. He has no strength in his thumb and index finger. He called the nurse today. She will let the doctor know. He was not scheduled for an MRI until Nov.17th. I bet they will want to see him before then. I'm hoping it is temporary. I know he is upset about it so I am trying to stay positive. I told him to keep using it to do things.

Now I must tear myself from your divine company to cook up some brats.

Auf Wiedersehen!

Too funny about the dog! That usually happens when we take our old gal, Babrie, out for a walk.

 to Doug. Hope you hear from the doctor soon as to what you can do.

hi guys!

Its been a crazy week. Last friday for my birthday marc had just gotten home from his last shift so we went out to dinner. Nothing much else. Oh...Marc gave me my birthday present. He had planned and helped design a new engagement ring for me since march. It was such a surprise, and he did a great job. I spent the rest of the weekend sewing marcs pirate costume which ive yet to finish, and studying.

i had 3 midterms this week already and im so burnt out I dont even want to study for my last test for friday. :faint: But as soon as its dont i get to go home and party for the weekend.

I'm off the go make some dinner and try and get some studying done.

The ring sounds beautiful! Got any pics?

:Just home from McD's. Jimmy had tons of fun Thought I was going to have to call the cops at one point. Two factions fighting outside. Girls:sad2: THen one of the dads called the principal out, thought I was going to have to break up a fight:eek:

Now off to watch the game. Go Phillies:cheer2:

:scared1: That was at the McD?

:cheer2: Your Phillies won!

Yes I will enjoy my solo trip !! But I am disapointed not to b going with Christine but it was unavoidable :sad2:

I am VERY anxiously waiting to find out how Judy's interview went !!!:surfweb:Will let you know when I do!!!

Sorry to hear that your friend can't make your trip with you but I am sure you will have a great time going solo!

Good Luck to Judy and her interview!

*******************************************

Well, we didn't get to do baby shopping this afternoon so I will either have to go tomorrow morning before class or pray that we get done early enough with lab to go find something before I have to pick the kids up from daycare. Thank goodness my school is out by the mall and I can hit Macy's up for something.

My brother and kids gutted our pumpkins tonight and did pumpkin seeds. The kids had fun picking out the seeds from the goop and my brother did all the hard work in gutting the things. Now I just need to carve them which will have to wait until Friday. Hopefully they will last!

My test for Medical Assisting isn't until Friday so it will just be notetaking tomorrow. :woohoo: More study time!

Night everyone!

So hopefully soon they will give a salary/vaction offer !!!If that is god she will be a work at home MOM!!!! She asked a lot of questions about the security of the job etc and herquestions were nsweed satisfactorily!!! SO it looks very good !!

Good morning all. It's dreary and damp. I don't care...the Phillies won:woohoo:. Not much planned for today. Some laundry:laundy: and then I am going to lunch with my girlfriend:thumbsup2 I do have an ear doctor appointment at 2:30 for him to read the MRI. Then I will have to pick up Jimmy since Jim has to work late today. He is doing something called power hour, which is extra help for the kids who need it. Extra $$$:yay:

Hope everyone has a good day!

Sorry about the loss in tennis though and hope you are feeling better!

At the beginning of the month I was basically told, "It's not about you personally, but we're just not hiring any new subs, we have enough on the list," which bummed me out. But apparently now the list isn't looking so long. ;) I can't do high school because the hours don't work with my kids, but I guess ours had 30 teachers out yesterday. :scared1:

My brother and kids gutted our pumpkins tonight and did pumpkin seeds. The kids had fun picking out the seeds from the goop and my brother did all the hard work in gutting the things. Now I just need to carve them which will have to wait until Friday. Hopefully they will last!

You, too - let us know how the dr. goes.

I have fun tennis at 9:00, then I need to run some errands. D decided that Woody's aluminum foil covered boxes that he made in the summer weren't "enough" for his robot costume (the kid is totally happy, but whatever...) So, I'm supposed to go get some dryer ducting for covering arms and legs, and I need to try to find pumpkins, and paper plates for one of the classroom parties (they didn't call me for the other, so I'll be hit up for the next one, I am sure) and a few other things.

My throat feels OK so far this morning - but my head is pounding. No fever at all, thank goodness. I gulped down some Advil and am hoping for the best.

Anyway, I am hoping to be home by noonish, so I'll be back later! :goodvibes Have a great morning!

Love it. Do we get to see a picture?
Sure, but it's not done yet - this was a Medium Warm Red Blonde on top of my lightened + grey strands... not red enough yet, so I'll need to work on it some more:

 That's got to be so frustrating for him.

Kat, have you seen the weekend forecast recently? HOT. Like, record-setting hot. :faint:

I have to get pumpkins tonight. I don't usually wait this long. :sad2:
I think I managed to sneak out of it entirely!

Me too - again! :headache:

Almost there! :woohoo: And, as I said above, the forecast is bringing the heat to the weekend - my poor little cowboy's gonna fry in his MNSSHP costume, but Pool:30 is looking goo-ood! ;)

I'm home with a sick kid today. I'm not feeling so well and neither is K. It's an allergy/sinus thing, I think. A's actually doing the best of all three of us. I'm sure he'll be back at school tomorrow.

I took B to the chiropractor yesterday and she was told to stay off her feet as much as possible. She's not supposed to dance. :guilty:

In fact, I should go start calling around about physical therapy for her. I'll be back...

Poor B...she must be devastated:hug:
Thanks.

Yes, she's not happy. I'm not happy that she's having to sit out at school again and can't participate in a class I'm paying a lot of money for. Not to mention, if she can't learn the 4th dance, she won't be able to be in it and that will really upset her. Especially everytime they perform and she has to sit out. Momma bear's not happy that her baby has to suffer because of someone else.

EWWWW is right! That is just one reason I HATE gardening!

YAY PHILLIES!!!!!

I'm off for the afternoon - going to see a lecture by a "Ghost Hunter" at a local college - spoooooky!:stir:

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Have fun at your spooky lecture! :goodvibes

*******************************************************
I did get everything done and got home by 12:02. :thumbsup2

Luckily, if I take an alternate road to the gym, I get on one of those stoplight filled, shop and restaurant filled roads, so I stopped first at a farm stand and got pumpkins, then the gas station, then Home Depot, then Target, and then home.

My head's still aching. I'm thinking afternoon nap. I have the dishwasher going and laundry in the dryer. It wouldn't hurt to put more clothes in the washer, but since I need to wait for the dishwasher to finish anyway... ;)

We dropped D's car off last night - he's had a squeaky noise for a bit - and though we did his back breaks this summer, now it's the front brakes. Again, I guess he HAS to have them :rotfl: but that's yet more car money. I guess at least it's not the d*$# van. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Sigh.

He rode in this morning with his co-pilot who lives here in town, so he'll just have the co-pilot drop him to pick it up - he's due back after dinner.

OK, I'm gonna take the dog out and then lie down for a bit. BBL! :wave2:

When are you leaving?

We leave Saturday, our flight is at 4:30 in the afternoon. :goodvibes

I am soooo glad because the cold up here is killing me! I am SO packing the bathing suits and flip flops! :woohoo:

I like the hair color! I need to work on mine today! Have a great time, def hope I see you!

I have been sick for like 3 straight weeks now. I am hoping Mickey and some sunshine can cure me! Hope you guys all feel better!

Must. Get. Things. Done.

today is the day to do EVERYTHING. I am slightly less than motivated but I'm gonna do it anyway.

Now to call WDW and pay the balance on the room. :)

Afternoon! Headed to VT game tonite which should be fun! :thumbsup2

V--hair looks good!

Dawn--did u get a PT appt? BA really likes her sessions!

+++++
annoying day yesterday--Ab hit a car in the Walmart parking lot...
right in front of the doors....lady turns right sharply and bam...Ab hits her bumper....scratched the other car's bumper (which of course was a Cadiallac Escalade).......did some fender damage to Ab's van..which we wouldn't even have got an estimate on if the insurance wasn't involved--and with a $1000 deductible on a car with 147K miles...probably won't happen!

So....sigh....remember when I said my insurance doubled 2 weeks ago when she got her license?? Wonder what will happen now.....

Oh, no. Poor Ab. Poor TE's insurance bill.

Dawn so sorry about B, hope she can join in again soon!

TE uh oh, the more I hear about young drivers (Moms Panellist Anna got rear ended a few days ago by a brand new kid driver) I'm pleased they're upping the age limit here to 18. Glad she was OK though!

Well, that's nice :confused3

Isn't it:sad2:

I napped for a bit this afternoon and the headache seems to be gone. :thumbsup2

Buzz came home crying because he had such a bad headache. He didn't tell anyone at school. :sad2: I don't know why not. Poor kid. I gave him some Motrin and he went up to bed, slept for about an hour and half, and came back down in time for homework and dinner, thankfully. No fever.

D just walked in the door, and I'm sure he'll work on the robot costume for a bit. He's got to be tired - his alarm went off at 4:00 this morning.

And that's really all I've got.
