Janet, Ellie needed a coat for school, we ended up getting a ladies one an although the arms are a little long it fits fine so will last her![]()
Great pumpkinsI'm putting out our light up plastic pumpkin on Halloween
(can you tell I have no kids at home
)
Good! The wait to see specialists is ridiculous!! We've been through it twice this year with Ariel this for her herniated discs - two months to see the Neurosurgeon (well, it's a lot better than 9 months but she was in severe pain) and then another two months to schedule the injections! As a mom, I was furious that my baby had to go so long without treatment and in pain and you feel so helpless!![]()
If they do diagnose it as SID, what is the treatment? Poor little guy, that must be so frustrating for him!![]()
I'm almost afraid to say it but.....THE LAPTOP'S WORKING!!!The new power cord seemed to do the trick. Now, I'm going to go and backup everything to my mobile hard drive!
Have a good night everyone!
So--what do you all think about the H1N1 vaccine? Our school says only K-3 right now and they'll see how much they have. Ab is concerned about it not being tested enough. I dunno---kids are getting pretty sick around here.![]()
Janet---just saw this--what is the sensory disorder you mentioned?

I've done some reading on it and it's actually the same as the seasonal flu shot but with the added strain. I've been going back and forth about it and I am going to get it for my kids, Evan especially as he has asthma and his immune system isn't as strong as Maddie's. I will not however allow them to get the mist, which is a live virus.IMO, the pros out weigh the cons.

It all starts again tomorrow. Oh joy. I have to get a TB test tomorrow (required to volunteer at the school) and get some things for the Chemo tote bag the kids are putting together for my SIL with cancer. It's really a cute idea Kate shared with me. We bought a tote bag (lime, of course) and the kids decorated it. We bought things she might need/want during her treatment: ginger chews, lotion, lip balm, journal w/ pen, tissues, a small plushie, fuzzy socks, a scarf for her head, etc. I can't wait to give it to her on Saturday.
Have a great tomorrow!![]()
I'm up & trying to make my ADRs, but of course the stupid system is down from the huge amount of people trying to get in.![]()
I'm going to need a nap today, for sure.![]()
Nope. The on-line system crashed before 5CST and the phones have been down every time I've called.
I woke up at 4 all disoriented thinking that was when I was supposed to get on-line, but it wasn't. So, I've been up since 4 with no results.
Oh well...
Ugh, ask T - I've been back and forth, back and forth. In general, I don't like the idea of vaccinating for the flu, but mostly because I believe in building better immunity and worry that over-vaccinating on a wide scale is creating badder bugs. The H1N1 is so new to our collective systems, I think Leo will get the vaccine. I can't due to major allergic reactions to flu shots in the past. Did you know they all have MSG in them? My Dr. was convinced I have an egg allergy based on my reactions, but when I found out about the MSG it clicked - I'm very, very allergic to MSG!So--what do you all think about the H1N1 vaccine? I was just going to email you about this! Found some better info. on the mist, per the actual vaccine's labeling... it's a weakened virus and can't live in anything warmer than the nostrils, so it can bring about congestion and maybe a low-grade fever, but can't actually cause the flu. Also, people who've had the mist can't spread the virus to anyone except those with majorly compromised immune systems (read: HIV or chemo patients.) NOW I get why Leo's Dr. thinks it okay for him to do the mist, IF I'm right there with the emergency inhaler. Apparently, it's not good for chronic asthmatics because it can induce an asthma attack; Leo's asthma is only allergy-induced so it's not likely to hit him.I will not however allow them to get the mist, which is a live virus.![]()

OMG, I had one, too last night! Awful.Good morning.Last night I had the worst headache ever. Mitch says it may have been a migraine. All I know is that I wanted to cut my head off. Thankfully today I feel much better since I have lots to do.
I did take some, I will post later but with my nephews face blurredAwww, wish you had a picture!

Yep!Is this the first day that the system reverted back to 180 days?
I saw that!Dawn, did you see this on Twitter? For some reason I can't DM you from there.
wdwfan 180 window opens up today for Disney dining and of course the online dining site is down and a 70 minute wait by phone. Fun fun!

All that to say... I've left the decision to fate, lol! I signed the release for him to get it at school, with whichever form they wind up with. Assuming they ever get it at all. So we'll see...
3 days, 3 days!!!Time to get things done - the forecast keeps changing, so I need to pack more stuff so we'll have options. Need to hit the grocery store, do laundry, and check the levels in my travel cosmetics.
Had a lousy riding lesson last night; I'm thinking of either taking a break altogether or going back to my old barn.![]()

Aww, poor girl!Another beautiful day here, we've just played some golf and now we're wasting the good day indoorsEllie had to be picked up from her sleepover last night as she'd been sick, luckily it was only next door. She then projectile vomitted a coupld more times in the toilet, honestly it was violent
but slept fine and is great now, maybe something she ate?
Which is really the safest way to go... if there's a choice. So far, we've only received the mist here and that ran out within 2 days. It doesn't look like we'll get any shots for some time, so I think his Dr. feels it worth taking a chance on the mist just to get it going.Pur peditrician said for JImmy not to get the mist becasue he does the ned occassionallyLike once or twice a year, change of season when the allergies kick in!

Can you believe no one has ever brought that up?! SO many people are sensitive to MSG, too.Anyway- I how scary about the MSG in the shots and your allergy!
That was exactly my feeling, and basically still is. I'm not terribly worried about Leo fighting it if he got it; his immune system rocks. But everything I get goes straight o my lungs - last time I had the flu it wound up as walking pneumonia. So vaccinating Leo is the best defense against me getting it, unfortunately.I have vaccinated the kids on all the major things other than the Gardisil one, but I don't do the flu shot and I'm not doing the H1N1 shot. So many people here that I know have had it and say it's just a bad flu. I'm hoping my kids stay healthy like they normally are.![]()

So, after getting nothing done, but being up way early, I'm napping today!![]()
I have an appointment with the chiropractor this morning and a lunch date with my firend who's birthday is today.I'm also going to look for stuff at the store for Aiden's bday party. He's decided to do a Lego party. I have all the games planned, so I just need to invite kids and buy stuff.
His bday is the day after Thanksgiving, so I'll have to have it the week before. I'd better get moving, huh?

Awwww bless himP.S.: Leo wants to see his "big-girl friends Jessica and Ellie"! He told me this morning.![]()
