Awww thanks for all wanting to adopt me :goodvibes!
whoa...whoa.....wait a minute...did I say that???! :lmao:;)

Well I had a lovely afternoon with my PITA sister and her boys, Ollie was so funny as he was scared stiff of Boo but about an hour before they left was sat on the sofa with Boo asleep on his lap, so cute :rotfl2: We just played, went to the play park and had a roast dinner :thumbsup2

Tomorrow the 4 of us are off to the mall to do some shopping then Ellie is off to a sleepover and swimming!

:goodvibes Wow---your kitty is a lot tamer than Boots---he would be sceered stuff of a little one. But the older they get without a lot of people around them, the harder it is for them. I read that you should get as many people to hold and pet the kitty as you can! (I'm trying---but he likes me best :snooty:)

Nope, I'm being good...plus it's Christmas stuff all day;)

.....well, if it's for Christmas.....then that means you're buying for OTHER people....so it doesn't count, right??
+++++++++

I had to do some real gardening so I put Boots in a carrier and set him near me to get some fresh air...plus I read it's good to get him used to different surroundings....poor kitty was so scared....course it didn't help that Bear and Max needed to sniff the whole cage and then bark at him. :sad2:
Boots did try to swat at Bear and it scared Bear! Oh well, not sure if that was a good idea.....I'm really trying tho...gonna post some new pics in a minute!

whoa...whoa.....wait a minute...did I say that???! :lmao:;)
OK Love everyone BUT TE :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

TE I hope Boots gets more adventurous, we let Boo outside a little today, ith us very close, she loved it until she spotted the girls rabbits and hissed and arched her back :rotfl2:

HI Fockers, long time no post....

I have, well, I have been posting with another, site that is.

I think I posted that I booked a trip to Italy next spring. Well anyhow, the tour company I am with have their own boards, so when I do get on the internet, I have been hanging out over there. Mostly lurking, I think I have 2 posts there.

I can't wait for that trip, Rome, Florence and Venice with side visits to Pompei, Pisa and Bologna.

You guys make fun of me shopping at WDW, imagine the shopping I will be doing there:yay::yay::yay:

So work is still very busy and we are very close to signing a HUGE client, it's between us and one other company and it's a real horse race. It would be a mixed blessing if we win that account.
It's almost year end too, which means I get even busier with all the financial reporting that has to get done. Unfortunately year end doesn't really end until tax day on April 15th...

So I am just finalizing the plans for the Thanksgiving trip to WDW. Murph is getting excited, (yes, I think she has come to the dark side and gets why her only daughter spends so much time and money there). We had lunch yesterday and she was full of questions and of course wants to know how much time she will have to shoot aliens (remember the Buzz story from last year's trip)

She just got back on Wednesday from a couple weeks in Eastern Europe and unfortunately took a bad fall, she says she will be ok, but I may be renting a scooter for her next month. She is a sort of in a back brace right now. She saw a dr here on Thursday and the x-rays were ok, but I would feel better about an MRI. Can't imagine how it felt flying home from Bucharest with a layover in London. I know it was bad because she asked for the wheelchair assistance in all the airports, she is much to proud to ask for any assistance.

Well I seem to have rambled on.

Hope all is well with my Fockers, I miss hanging out here more...

...and I read your update! SO everyone--go read Jo's update cause it may be another week till we get a new one! ;)

Hey!! I was thinking of you the other day and hoping all was well! Glad to hear from you and glad that you and mom are still trip planning!

Hope your mom's back is ok. Did u hear that Dawn was in an accident? Her back hurts too, but she's ok...well, she'll be ok...but she still hurts. Right Dawn??

.....well, if it's for Christmas.....then that means you're buying for OTHER people....so it doesn't count, right??

I did get one thing for me, but for Christmas decorating...does that count? I got banister hooks to hang garland from the banister.

HI Fockers, long time no post....

Hey, I just asked where you were. :) Miss you! I'm so sorry about Murph's accident. Yuck.

***************************************************
So, the boys came in from playing and wanted to go to the park. I had no interest in sitting there alone, so I called my friend Tara with the girl twins. One was at a friend's house, but she and the other twin took us to their school park (they live in the next town over.) The boys were thrilled, we got a chance to sit and have a natter (is that correct usage, Jo?) and that was really nice. :goodvibes We got back, the boys played some Wii, and now they're having an early dinner. They need showers tonight, and then I'm hoping for an early to bed night for them and relaxation for me. :)

Hola, amigos! :wave2:

Just checking in to see what's shakin'.

We had fun in DLR on Friday night. It was eerily empty when we got there, but around 6pm the crowds were flooding in. I was bad at Disney. :rolleyes1 Yes, I used my stroller as a weapon - on purpose. All I'm going to say was she deserved it. Anyway, the fireworks were incredible and I hope they bring them back every year! :thumbsup2

It's going to be crazy around here this week! Monday and Tuesday I've got dr. appts, Tuesday we have Brownies, then on Thursday we're heading to Mickey's Halloween Treat at DCA and staying at the new Villas at the Grand Californian. I'm E-X-C-I-T-E-D!!! On Friday we'll go to DLR, as it's Maddie's birthday. Then on Saturday we have the kids school Harvest Festival and then Maddie's birthday party is that afternoon. :faint:

************************************************

Jo - I'm glad you got some time with your sister and nephews. :goodvibes

CE - Sounds like you had a nice afternoon with the boys.

Denise - sorry about the computer problems. I'll be looking for a new one soon. Hoping for a great deal on Black Friday.

Janet - What did you get Jimmy for Christmas? I have no idea what to get Mads and Evan this year. Evan wants LEGO, but he's got SO many now. I was thinking of just buying them more "joint" gifts than anything. The Wii has a lot of great games coming out... I really want LEGO Guitar Hero. :lmao:

Mo - Hey stranger! Did I see right that you're cheating on us?

Hi TE, Dawn, Rosie and anyone else I missed! :wave2:

Cool!

Nice! I can't wait to hear about the resort.

I really want LEGO Guitar Hero. :lmao:

Oooh, me, too! :rotfl:

I don't know what to do either. They each have small things that they're asking Santa to bring, but it's not a lot, and then...

Glad you liked the fireworks!

I ordered an interactive globe/contellation thing and some books from QVC, but he is mostly asking for Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen Stuff. Other than that it will be mostly small stuff. Probably some more Lego's. He is into the kits now, so Santa will probably finish up the SPongebob sets, and then maybe the Indiana Jones one he really wants. I'm still on the fence about that one.

------------------------------------------

Jimmy had a great time at the party. Now he is bathed and in his PJ's watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Special that is one. Then is bed time. Our neighbors are going to come over to watch the Angels/Yankees game:thumbsup2

It's a busy week here too. Tomorrow I will do the luandry (that's all I ever seem to so:sad2:) I have to call the ear doctor to get an appointment now that that the MRi is done! Then I have to call the Children's Hospital to get Jimmy an appointment to be evaluated by the Occupational Therapist (I'm told there is a 6 month waiting list:eek:), then I have to call the plaumber becasue my garbage disposal decided to stop working today:headache:

On Tuesday Jim has interim report conferences, so he won't get home until 8:00 or later. It annoys him, because out of the 100+ kids he teaches if 10 parents show up it's alot:sad2:

Wednesday is Shawmont Night at McDonald's. The school gets 10% of the profits between 4pm and 7pm.

Friday is the Halloween Parade and party at school.

In between all of that I want to clean this house from top to bottom. With this being my last week off from work I want it done before that.

So, does anyone watch the Extreme Makeover Home show? I don't normally, but the one that was on tonight was about 15 miles from my parents' house (and in central IL, that's practically next door) and it happened to happen the week I was there with my parents after BIL's wedding. Several people I know worked on it, but I didn't see them on TV. ;)

The local news was covering it like mad that week (though they weren't allowed to show the finished house - but you could drive right by it...) I find the show interesting, but there are definitely issues they don't tell you about. For instance, the family still owed plenty of money on the house that was demolished, so they were still struggling for a house payment on that, and now with the fantastic new house, they are worried about taxes. Also, their dog ran away whilst they were at WDW. :sad2:

Anyway, it was just interesting to me. Then, after I got back, the local news here in NH was all abuzz as they came to a place up north in NH. I think they're following me! :rotfl:

Great Pumpkins, Janet and Jimmy!!

Lets see what I can remember. (This should be interesting. My quotes went to quote heaven.)

CE doesn't care much for TGIFridays since her waitress days. She got some skiing stuff for Buzz.
That's understandable with the restaurant.

Janet said Jimmy scored his first goal in soccer
WTG, JIMMY!!

T was rotten at DL. They are trying out the new villas this coming week. They are going to the Halloween thing at DCA. Mads B-day is this weekend.
I can't wait to hear all about this next weekend. Very exciting!

DENISE went to Target to get a VCR and came out with a new cup for the bathroom. Plus she left a bag of groceries at the grocery store. She did get them back at no extra charge.
Lucky!

ROSIE seems to be having a bit of anxiety over POFQ. She loves POP.
Could you have a bad time anywhere, Rosie? I think not. You will love POFQ too!

JO wants a new family.
I'll adopt you and the DH and the kids, oh and the cat. It sounds like the PITA meet went well though.

KAT posted her WDW itinerary. They are getting ready for the trip.
:woohoo:

I can't remember anything else.

Whine!!!! I've got a dang headache.
The computer system at work is still not up and running. It should have been going at 7PM. BORING!
I have been getting caught up on the TRs here. I am so far behind.

I hope everbody has a great Monday.

Looks like fun! We've not even bought any yet. :scared1:

It probably won'tlast until next SAturday, but yesterday was the only chance we had to do them!

I always wondered what happened if their was a mortgage on the old house. When they were here, the people got a 10 year tax abatement:confused3

Great Pumpkins, Janet and Jimmy!!

Thanks!

It's a truly tiny town - they may be able to work something out on the taxes, but it's just nothing that the show would ever bring up, you know? It's all "Ooh, look at your new house!" and it IS great - it's just not free.

Evan too. He's really into the LEGO City. Those things are a PITA!

Good luck on the MRI resluts.

I know, they did a house about 3 miles from here. It was a family who took in their best friends kids after the parents died. After the show, the parents kicked the kids out and now the kids are sueing the show, as they claim they were promised a home for life. And the kids say that without them they would have never been chosen. Not always a happy ending, eh?

The Angels are fading fast. I know if they pull a miracle, the Phillies would eat 'em up!:sad2:

Hey, the tying run is at the plate, there's still hope! NO LL, but I disliked the Yankees even before I moved to Red Sox territory. ;)

I think I'm off to bed. I didn't get enough sleep the last couple of nights, and I am playing tennis just friendly in the morning right after the kids get on the bus, so I have to be even more awake than normal - I'd usually putz around the house for a while.

Ooops, T, sorry. They got out.

Good night!

Good luck on the MRI resluts.

Uh.....T---did you mean to spell RESULTS....or are you just messin' with Janet?? :lmao:;)

++++++++++

Funny Extreme makeover stories....sort of.....feel sorry for the folks about the dog and the taxes....

++++
kids taped Marley and Me...I have avoided watching it....but they dragged me in for the final 10 minutes and I cried so hard. Now I gotta watch the rest of it. I have a hard time with sad animal movies...reminds me of my little dog Hans.

(but on the good note---everyone has been hugging Bear!)
