How much longer is she there for Jo?
just under 2 weeks, they have a wedding next weekend and then fly home on the Friday!

ok....bird expert....what's the difference between a parakeet and a budgie??
Oh loads of things :rotfl2:

Hi girls! You won't believe it~ I just awoke from a 5 hour nap. I fell asleep at lunch and woke at dinner. Man, know I'm groggy!
Wow you must have needed it and nope never heard :sad2:

I forgot to say we did a booming business today. We sold $697 worth of popcorn. ALthough, it helps that the stuff ain't cheap.

What's nice is that Jimmy gets a percentage of what he sells in a scout account, which is used to offset the cost of trips and activities for us:thumbsup2
Wow that's fantastic and great that some goes directly to him :thumbsup2

The way you pronounce it! :rotfl: They are the same bird. Just a matter or what you call it. :thumbsup2 Parakeet is usually used as a general term for small parrots with flat tails. Budgeriger are a type of parakeet. Just like sparrow, theres a ton of different types. They were bred to be different colors, so there are tons of variation now. they're originally green and yellow with black and white wing bars, and come from australia.:teeth:
Not over here :snooty:;):rotfl2:

See Jo, we were right:rolleyes1:rotfl2:
Nope, remember you'll never win as I'll just call the UK card :rolleyes1:rotfl2: LY

ok....so get this.....I went over to moms house to take her doggie back and I asked her what kind of bird the little bird was..........

she said "it's a budgie"---:lmao:
Ha ha see I told you :rotfl2:

OK, the bird debate is cracking me up. I can't leave you guys alone for a minute!
Good to see you again Kristel and glad we could give you a laugh :rotfl2: Sorry about Rockie's Mom and so pleased you've rearranged your trip, what are your dates? Also look after yourself with all the overtime

It's been a crazy busy day! I started with :laundy: and then we had an outing to Tanaka Farms with my Brownie troop. They had loads of fun picking radish, onions and carrots and then they went to the HUGE pumpkin patch area and picked their pumpkins off the vine. Pretty cool for city kids! :lmao:
Sounds fun and how did Maddie's sleepover go?

cute parakeet pic:

But Sam that's a budgie ;):rotfl2:

Well I never heard from Emma, I even texted both her and her DH's mobiles, but not sure they work now since she moved, anyway just had a lazy morning. The girls and I chilled in bed till gone 11am just chatting, mostly about kitten stuff :rotfl2:

Those girls had me walking all over that farm, going through a corn maize and searching high and low for the perfect pumpkin.... WHEW, I am exhausted! :faint:

Sounds like a good time was had by all:thumbsup2

Maddie went to her first sleep-over tonight. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about it. That poor mother is having ten 7 year olds invade her home! She's NUTS!

Yes she is NUTS!:scared1:

HOw did Maddie make outpopcorn::

Nope, remember you'll never win as I'll just call the UK card :rolleyes1:rotfl2: LY

=========================

Getting ready to go to soccer. Did I tell you that I am the snack bar mom now:rotfl2: Unfortunately, like everything else you get a few parents to help and everyone else sits on their butts!:headache: I don't mind doing it becasue the money is used at the end of the season to get the food and stuff for the little banquet they have for the kids.

After that I need to go to the grocery store and then do some laundry.

I am making Ham for dinner tonight. Also some potato soup from Tastefully Simple.

Tomorrow Jim and Jimmy are off from school/work, but I don't think we are doing anything. It's just going to be a chill out and do nothing day.

:lmao:Love the "budgie" pics--gonna send that to mom! When she keeps my cat, she has her stay on the front porch away from the birds. I have no idea why as Isabella would not burn any calories trying to climb to get them....food comes from a can.:snooty:

janet--it's a slippery slope into full time volunteer mom---helping at school......making extra snacks......soccer team mom.......special <<insert brownies, cub scouts>> craft projects....... wondering why the other moms are not answering your calls.........:confused3...........repeating all of above cause other moms are "grateful"........;);)

T---sleepover details?? Probably not home yet.
BA had me come get her at 10 as they were fussing. 3 girls together often ends like that. They had been over here all afternoon riding 4 wheelers so probably too much togetherness.

TE - I figure at this point, once I go back to work I won't be able to do as much at school, so I will take advantage of being able to do it now. THe soccer thing doesn't bother me that much,,,it keeps me out of the rain, cold, sun, etc;)

3 girls - togehter ALL day :scared1: I'd kill them myself:lmao:

Anyways off for breakfast with KC & Pants (who stayed over last night). Have a great Sunday!

Good Morning :wave2:

Well, my little girl survived her first sleep-over! :goodvibes She says they had a great time eating pizza, doing make-overs and watching movies. She was the first one asleep and the first one up!

I, on the other hand couldn't fall asleep until very late, then woke up at 3am and checked my phone to see if I missed her call.

Hoping to head out soon to DLR. I'm dying to check out the Nightmare Before Christmas HM overlay!

Happy Sunday!

What does that involve? Americans seem to have to volunteer an awful lot more than here :confused3

Yikes, glad I live a long way away :rotfl2:

Don't think so

Just went to see Up and Janet look away but I loved it, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for young kids though as I'm sure they'd find it boring. I did cry a bit but also laughed loads and just really liked it, oh it was 3D too :thumbsup2

If the weathers fine David wants to go to a park near us to watch the stags rut tomorrow, that always scares me a bit so I'll be either praying for rain or keeping my distance :rotfl2:

Ok the work injury story....A pole we use to hang clothes on high racks was left hanging in the middle of the rack and when I moved some shirts over it dislodged and nailed me in the top of the head. It isa heavy metal pole and it hurt like heck. It swelled quickly. The managers cared much more for filling out an incident report than me because I got a paper with the address of a dr to see and was sent on my way,no cab no escort, just had to get on the bus myself and go. The dr said it was just a bad contusion and I was fine but I went to be better safe than sorry. I have tons of papr work andcalls from the insurance co and was only asked once how I was feeling,4 days later. Kinda surprised at that. But I'm ok,obviously.

I am still looking for ful time work hoping to get out of disney before the xmas season.

Today I am doing some cooking for a few days this week and finally catching up on my dvr shows from 3 weeks ago.

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing day!

The grandparents left this morning, they were only here for two days. Turns out the reason for the visit is that they wanted to buy Mom a new car for her birthday!

Wow, what a present! :yay:

We sold popcorn for the cub scouts from 8am to 12pm.
I bought some popcorn today from the cub scouts in honor of Jimmy ;)

Hey you East Coasters... THE SNOW IS COMING!!!!

:scared1: LOL - my DH cut the grass for the last time today and put the lawn mower in the shed and replaced it with the snow blower in the garage, so he's all ready to go!

I will let you know that the BFF trip has been rebooked for December with no problems. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get a couple of ADRs that I wanted badly. That's the way it goes. I'll share more info. on that later.

Good for you! Hopefully something will open up with the ADRs :thumbsup2

Getting ready to go to soccer. Did I tell you that I am the snack bar mom now:rotfl2:

Suckaaaa! (Only kidding, I always enjoyed doing stuff like that ;))

I'm so glad she had fun - you never know with the first sleepovers. Don't know if anyone listens to the Manic Mommies podcast (they are hysterical), but one of the moms was just talking about having a pre-sleepover for her boy to try to ease them into it. The kids comes in their jammies, they get in their sleeping bags, have snakcs, watch movies, etc. Then they go home around midnight. I'm not surprised YOU didn't sleep :rotfl2:

I'm afraid to see it, I heard it's sad and I don't want to cry :sad2:

----------------

Still can't find that dang nutella recipe, so I wound up making a Bacardi Rum cake - mmmm-mmmm (think I'm glad I couldn't find it ;)). I put a huge pork roast in the crock pot first thing (recipe sounds good, has apples, apple cider, potatoes, onions) and I happened to put my hand on the outside a few hours later - STONE COLD  I quick ran to K-mart and got a new crock pot. Transferred everything and put it on high. Whew! THEN, I get a call that the kids are NOT coming for dinner (Bill, Raqhel & grandson Rick were in her sister's wedding in Pittsburgh last night and they didn't get to bed until 6am, so at 2pm they were nowhere near leaving Pittsburgh). So, now I've got a 4.5 lb pork roast, potatoes, noodles, and braised red cabbage and only 3 people to feed - anyone want to come for dinner:upsidedow I think I'll leave a container of food on their porch for when they come home. Bill sounded REALLY tired, I feel kind of bad for them, it's about a 5 hour drive back to Philly.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

dlwharp- Not sure If I "met" you yet- I'm Jen, Beyond my addiction to Disney, I'm a really super busy SAHM who volunteers a ton and loves to scrapbook.

Hi Jen :wave2: I don't think so - nice to meet you! I live near Philly with my DH and puppy Lilly. We're empty-nesters now (DD Ariel - NOT named for the meraid - is at college). I am an obsessive quilter, so I get the scrapbooking thing :goodvibes

Hi everyone! :wave2: Sounds like you all are having a good weekend. Mitch is having fun even though Ole Miss looked terrible! :headache: No idea what happened.

I am going to be an Auntie again! :cool1: In June, 3 days before Reid's birthday. She got a soft positive, whatever that is and has to do a blood test as well, has that stupid insurance that won't let your doctor draw your blood so she has to go to a lab. And I'm not allowed to tell Mitch because they want to! :scared1: Well, they need to tell him right when he gets home because it's killing me not to say anything. Good thing you all don't know my sister. ;)

I bawled at the end of that book!! I won't see the movie as wonderful as the book was!

Thanks Jo! That's an awesome site. Now that I am the proud owner of a brand new 7-quart crockpot I can make good use of it! :lmao:

Just incase some of you haven't seen Dawn has been in a car crash, apparently her and her DD were rear ended and are now in the ER. Sending them both lots of pixiedust: and hope they're both OK

How exciting! (I won't tell ;)) No clue about the soft positive:confused3

Jo--you are going to a park to watch stags rut??

Is that the way British people deer hunt???
Daran went bow hunting all day yesterday (well, excluding the time spent watching VT !)-----he only saw squirrels! I think this is funny cause you can look out any window of our house and see deer! :lmao:

++++++++
Dawn---need update....now. r u ok?? Not sure if I have her cell, and not sure if she would have it on in ER.

++++++++

BA and Daran gone trout fishing so will get some with Ab!:thumbsup2

Dawn Update- She and B are getting xrays.

Angela- Any kind of positive is POSITIVE! I was told that they are never incorrectly positive. SO SHE's PREGO! I have never heard of a doctor not being able to to take blood. :confused3

Kat- Sorry to hear about the injury.

---------------

Lazy day here! I'm still in my jammies! We started the making of a pokemon pinata. It's drying right now, then comes the decorations.

What does that involve? Americans seem to have to volunteer an awful lot more than here :confused3
::yes:: Most of our organizations/programs here run on volunteerism period.

Just went to see Up and Janet look away but I loved it, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for young kids though as I'm sure they'd find it boring. I did cry a bit but also laughed loads and just really liked it, oh it was 3D too :thumbsup2
OMG, we loved that movie. Surprisingly Evan really enjoyed it as well, I guess it just depends on the kid/person. I can't wait until it's released on DVD so I can send Janet a copy. ;):lmao:

Oh no! That's happened to me, but I didn't realize it until late in the afternoon and I just chucked it all out.
Care to share that recipe? I've got a pork roast in the freezer that needs some lovin'. :goodvibes

Ahhhhh!! I'm so jealous! :cloud9: Congrats to you and your family. I wish I could have another one. Andy says he'll sell the DVC if I try anything funny.
Dawn Update- She and B are getting xrays.

*********************************************

Well, we headed to DLR after we picked up Mads. She reeeeeeally wanted to go today. THe weather was wonderful! It was cool enough to sport jeans and a hoodie, but all the tourist were in shorts and tanks! :lmao: Some silly locals even had boots and scarfs, it wasn't THAT cold. :sad2:

It was CRAZY crowded! :faint: In 3 hours we rode BTMRR, HM, had lunch and rode POOH. I can't handle it when it's that nuts. I did get some great pics that I'll upload and share on FB.

Time to think about what's for dinner. I'm thinking pizza or sammiches, but def. take out! :lmao:

BBL! :hippie:
