Hi, ladies!
Sounds like a nice day all around!
We had fun, though it was just too windy. We were so late getting up there, then getting everything on and ready, and the wind was so strong that the lake was just a wavy mess. It was honestly just nasty - we couldn't anchor to swim, and traveling against the wind was downright ick. So, we tooled to one part where we like to anchor, but couldn't even get there, the waves were so bad, turned around (with the kids clinging to me like vines) and wound up on another side of the lake for a nice walk and dinner. Truly, it turned out fine with just a couple of iffy moments, but Buzz knocked his head on the window of the boat trying to move to the back, then we all got pelted with cold water and were freezy... It wasn't ideal, I'm sorry to say. Still, I had them agreeing in the long run that it was an adventure - "A wavy one!" Woody said.

We got some sun, by the time we had dinner and headed in at 7:30 it was nice enough that we took a spin around a bay that's past our marina, all in agreement that we didn't need to get off the lake, after all.
D also is sick, I think - cold, and with stomach issues that seem unrelated to the late night last night

- but seriously, poor guy. Anyway, we left a message with the marina service that we'd probably be back up tomorrow, but we'll see. It's supposed to be much less windy, and if we go, we want to get up and go early, in time, in fact, to be HOME for dinner, showers, etc.

The kids did do their schoolwork yesterday, so we don't have that, but... They have baseball coming up Tuesday night, and had such a late night last night that I think they're done in.
Coming home tonight, Woody was in tears saying he wanted a "relaxing" day and Buzz was all, "If it is windy, I don't want to go," which is not exactly what you want to hear. I know what they mean, but... D's gone T/Wed, then my parents come in on Thursday, then the weekend looks crappy, weather-wise, so... But, I'm truly not sure that D's even going to be up for it - he's not feeling good.
And, frankly, the two neighborhood kids whom Woody likes to play with on his so-called "relaxed days" are neither one home tomorrow, so I don't want to skip the boat only to hear, "There's nothing to do..." all freaking day.

Anyway, we'll see. I'm torn, too - I'd like to get more bathroom done, though it's not going to make a difference for when my parents are here - we won't get that far tomorrow, no matter what. And, of course, I need to do something with the house before they come. Between the bathroom and office remodels, even my downstairs "public" areas are not where I want them - full of detrius from both rooms - and then the guest room has all the clothes I'm meaning to send to Janet for Jimmy. I need a good box.
Gah.
Anyway, it's very late, so everyone have a good morning. I'll either be here because we're staying home, or if you don't hear from me, it means we took off early and will be back later.
Angela, give Mitch an extra hug when he gets home - I'll definitely take a moment to REALLY remember Memorial Day tomorrow.
