Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

You guys crack me up, how do you all envisage England to be? Covered in smog and cold? :rotfl2: At this time of year it's light till about 9pm :thumbsup2 I hope Leo gets better soon

I remember it being light very late there when I was there this time of year. ::yes::

I know, right? And there's more - see below!

I won my match :yay: I beat her 4 and 2 (meaning we only had 2 holes left and I was 4 ahead) I was only 5 over par (should be about 10) so I was very happy. Also the team won 4-1 so we need to win 2 games at their course to go through to the next round, I can't play that though as it's a Saturday so they'd better do it :rotfl2:

Congratulations! Yay, you! :cool1:

Oooh CE you're only 2 posts away from 7,000 :goodvibes

Ooh, now one!

********************************************************
OK. So I got a reply from the captain that indeed, it's Sue who also can't play. She didn't say, though, if Sue's message came before or after mine - I sent to the whole team, but Sue apparently did not. So I don't know if she really can't play and told them before I did, is more mad at me for my message, or if she just didn't want to play with either of the people who were to be in to sub. :rotfl: Now I'm all paranoid.

The captain has messages in to both the subs - if they are both good to go, I'm covered. If not, I'll have to split my time - and then will Sue go nuts if I DO end up playing? Of course, it really could be that she can't play... :lmao:

Seriously, could we be more like 13 year olds? :rotfl2:

See I've been thinking about that and  my sister has a US bank account so send the cheque to her

Um, yeah let me get right on that:rolleyes:

Good luck, but I'm sure you'll be fine

Did I ever tell you all about when I had to leave the mall to pick Ellie up from school as she'd been sick? Well her friend at lunch had stuck a grape up each nostril and said looooook green boogers to which Ellie brought up a mouth full of sick and they called me :headache: yeah I was happy!!!

I would have been FURIOUS:mad:

Hi All! :wave2:

Just a quick drive by, as I'm CRAZY busy with work this week! The good news is I should be done by next week! Whoo hoo!

I'm off! Miss you guys! :grouphug:

:wave2:

I'm going to get big-headed if this keeps up! The team won 2 out of 3 overall, too - so as a team we're 3-0 in all matches, so we may be able to head to districts in August. Woohoo!

Congrats!

I am staying home tonight with Doug. (I took FMLA.) He had his 2nd chemo yesterday. I guess the 2nd and 3rd ones are the worst. He took an extra anti-nausia med. I hope it works.

Hope he is doing okay:hug:

and............

:dance3:HAPPY BIRTHDAY :dance3:

Grrrrr... Leo's still sick. As in vomiting. He can't even keep a few sips of water down. :sad1: Any suggestions? I'm not a puker and neither is he usually, so I'm at a loss! He's home with Gramma, who is a puker, though, so there's hope.

Pedialyte popcicles. They will hydrate him and put some of the elctrolytes back. They should be in the same place they sell the pedialyte.

Funny story, regarding my tennis drama from last week.

:lmao:

Wow, the Fockers are on a roll:yay:

Evening all. Wow, it was a long day for us. Today was the fair at Jimmy's school. We left the house at 7am and got home at 5pm. The kids had a ball and the school made some cash towards the next round of smart boards for the remaining classrooms.:thumbsup2 Needless to say we are all tired :faint: We stopped at the library on the way home so Jimmy could get some movies for the weekend. We have no plans for the long weekend, so it's going to be nice and lazy:woohoo:

Hope you all have a great long weekend. :grouphug:

Sounds awesome all around! :goodvibes

ETA : Oh, look! 7000!!!

OMG, I'm surrounded by insane craziness! :faint:

I have to tell you girls this, though. So yesterday I get a call from my assistant saying she's been attacked by a resident. I drive over there and basically the resident was absolutely NOT wanting to participate in the census, so when she saw my assistant, who by the way is under 4 feet fall, slightly rotund and walks with a cane, the resident came flying out of her front door, attacked my worker and snatched her census paperwork out of her hand. It was sooo drama! We had to file a police report and since she stole government property, has to call the federal office. Oy vey! What is wrong with people? :sad2:

Anyway, the poor lady had to get medical treatment and her doctor took her off work for a week. That pretty much sealed her fate...she's done working.

Anyway, thought I'd share that with you!

T: that is scary! What on earth did she think the poor census lady was going to do to her!?!

V: I really hope Leo is better today. Tummy aches are the worst! As Janet says, pedialyte pops are good. If he's still having trouble with that, my mom always swears by warm, flat Coke. There is something in coke that soothes tummies. That's why it's good for hangovers. ;)

Hope everyone else is doing well. I saw Jo did well at her golf game and CE won her tennis match. Great job, ladies!

I'm off to the Midland Rabbit Show with Notbob and Gus. Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Mel:banana:

OMG!

I just hit the wrong button and poof!!!!

It took me an hour to write everything - carp!

I skimmed the last 10 pages. Sorry but it was my b-day on the 25th and I've been busy.

I am a 'tell it like it is, I can handle it" kind of person. Some people are not. I am so bad at constructive criticism when it comes to issues that are important to me. I forget that some friends are more sensitive than I am. I have been striving to be more diplomatic and tactful in my delivery. It's very hard for me.

I am staying home tonight with Doug. (I took FMLA.) He had his 2nd chemo yesterday. I guess the 2nd and 3rd ones are the worst. He took an extra anti-nausia med. I hope it works.

I need to call WDW today to add 4 days to my ressie. I think we will be staying at POR as it looks like POFQ is booked up. I need to add some special requests since we don't know if Doug will still be having issues with walking.

Hugs to all - L8R!

I had that happen on my TR the other day. After writhing for over an hour I erased the whole thing.

I am a lot like you. I have learned through the years to keep quiet so as not to hurt peoples feelings. If I am paaionate about something though, watch out.

I hope Doug is feeling OK.

Rent the scooter for him. Even if he feels like he's up to walking. You know how much walking there is at Disney. It's not worth being at the back of the park and discovering you can't go any further. BTDT. He and I can have races at the Ip-Dip dinner. :lmao: I tend to always get the scooter with no zip. Probably a good thing since we know what happened last time with the Fairy Godmother.

Happy Birthday, a little late.

Hope Leo's feeling better. I'm not a puker either but my kids were. We always kept popsicles on hand or gatorade.

Congrats on your match.

After that day it sounds like you could use a nice quiet weekend.

That is insane. Do people have to answer the census if they don't want to? I did my DD's the other day for her when the census worker came to the door. I was expecting someone eventually.

+++++++++++++++
Morning all.

I am spending a fairly quiet 3 days off. My mom called and asked me to pick strawberries with her. I don't mind but she is waiting until the afternoon heat. Thankfully today won't be as hot as the rest of the weekend. My aunt is coming up from Florida so I will get to see her again. Hopefully she has "recovered" from Disney. It was too much for her. The Flyers start the finals tonight so I'll be at my son's for a little bit tonight. He is really annoying me lately and his wife has hit my last nerve. I may have to follow my own advice and leave before I say something they'll regret.

Have a good day.

Seriously, could we be more like 13 year olds? :rotfl2:
You're not that mature ;) :rotfl2:

Um, yeah let me get right on that:rolleyes:
Wooohoooo I'll let her know ;) The fair sounds good, was that another thing you volunteered for or did you just enjoy it?

ETA : Oh, look! 7000!!!
Wooohooo and you can easily pass me now as I'm literally only posting here now!!!!

Poor woman, what will happen to the attacker?

I'm off to the Midland Rabbit Show with Notbob and Gus. Hope you all have a beautiful day!
Have fun!

Hope you stay cool :goodvibes

Dave is off for a few days and the weather has turned :sad2: We were meant to be having a BBQ with friends later but we've changed it to chinese takeaway (much less hassle :thumbsup2) Hopefully tomorrow will be nice but it is a bank holiday weekend so that normally means it's horrid :rotfl2:

Ahh, family. Good luck.

Good morning! Not much going on here until later. My neighbor was 50 on Thursday, so we're doing a neighborhood easy cookout-type party this evening. I do need to go get stuff for it at some point, but that's about it. It's pretty out now - maybe some scattered t-storms later, though. It's supposed to be really hot tomorrow, but we're planning on hitting the boat, so...

D should be home around 5:00 - the party is getting going about 4:00 - and that's good.

Hope everyone has a great day. :goodvibes

Good Afternoon. My hubby is fabulous. He let me sleep until 10:30:woohoo: We have absolutely nothing planned for this weekend and I love it. Several people have called and invited us to BBQ's, but we aren't making any definite plans...just going to do what we want to when the mood strikes.

Like Taz said, the Stanley Cup Finals start tonight - LET'S GO FLYERS :cheer2: so we will probably hang out on our patio with the neighbors and watch that...maybe order some pizza or something for dinner. Very low key and low maintenance.:thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning !!! I have been getting ready for my Lake George Trip tonight !!I found all the little extras I need in my Disney stash !! Sewing kit, ponchos, meds for diarhea, upset stomach, congestion , pain you name it I had it in my stash:rotfl2:

Had a really fun night at work Friday evening !!Making instant pudding while singing "BEAT IT" I had the whole house in an uproar and the Boss captured it on tape:rotfl2::rotfl2: She suggested I get my thyroid checked as I have tooooooooo much energy !! I told her I liked me fine the way I was !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Maybe she thinks I should be in a rocking chair:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

The family is off to Six Flags tomorrow as Judy has to work Monday !! I also am working in the evening !! She is not a Happy Camper as she just found out on Thursday !!!:scared1::scared1:

Wel gotta get some sleep before my BIG shopiing day tomorrow !!!!

Good Morning all:goodvibes Hope you are all having al ovely day. The Flyers lost last night:sad2: But...Roy Halliday, the pitcher for the Phillies, pitched a perfect game:woohoo:

I slept badly and wound up on the couch becasue I kept tossing and turning and didn't want to wake Jim up. Jim is still sleeping. Jimmy and I are just hhanging out. He is writing out is Christmas list:confused3

I have to do laundry and do some grocery shopping today, but nothing else planned for the day.

Oh, andJim got a rejection letter from the 1st school he interviewed at:sad2: Keep your fingers crossed for the other one.

Off to walk to the dog. Have a good one all.

Morning, all...

Wound up at my neighbors' - with the kids! :scared1: - until midnight and didn't fall asleep until about 1:00. D stayed on even after we came home, so no one is moving very fast. Thankfully the kids slept until 9:00 - still not their usual 10 hours, but not bad.

We're going to head up to the boat once we ever get going. D asked earlier this morning if we needed to be quick, but I said that since it's not a school night, it would be fine to get up there later and stay out later - if it were tomorrow, I'd want to be off the water by 6:00 at the latest.

The kids did all their school stuff yesterday morning, so we have a couple of really free days.

Deb & John bought a small double-wide type lake house on Friday - lots of inheritance/life insurance/etc. from her mom's passing in Jan. let them do it. They asked if we wanted to come there today - but I think D's really looking forward to the boat. :confused3 (The house is not on "our" lake...) Then, yesterday afternoon another friend - the mom of the other puky kid last week at Tara's - called to see if we wanted to do a cookout with them today. I feel kind of bad saying no to all these people just to do the boat, but it's a perfect day for it and we've not had one of those yet.

We have no plans for tomorrow, so I'm kind of hopeful that we might get more walls built. D leaves Tuesday/Wed. and my parents should be here Thursday, so it's another crazy week once it starts.

Anyway, I need to get to making lunches - D's trying to load all the boat stuff into the car-top carrier - so that we can get going. Hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

Ahem, what am I chopped liver:rolleyes1
Never  BTW that expression always confuses me as we don't say that here :rotfl2:

Last night with our friends was good, we definitely made a good call cancelling the BBQ as it never stopped raining! Today we've been to see the Tooth Fairy which was OK (did you know the English guy is Ricky Gervais writing partner for the Office and other stuff?) the roast is in the oven and after that we're going to the club to do a bit of chipping and putting. Did I tell you Ellie has decided to join? As of Tuesday she'll be a member too I think she thought if you can't beat em join em :rotfl2:

The baseball game was great. I'm glad that Halliday got a perfect game but I knew the Flyers would lose as soon as he did. As you pointed out in a previous post the Phillied need to lose fot the Flyers to win. It has seemed to work that way through the playoffs. :rotfl2:

I get nights like that but my Jim is so used to it he doesn't care anymore. I've heard of Christmas in July but June? :confused3 Kids do the funniest things.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the other school to come through.

My dog walks herself. We have a doggy door.

I wanted to see that movie but never had the time. How nice that Ellie is joining you at the club.

Afternoon all. Not much going on here. I have a free day today and tomorrow so I am relaxing and maybe getting some more of my TR done.

My son is mad at me again. I keep telling him the problem is all his fault. His birthday is in 12 days. He is off that day so he's having a BBQ. Of course I just realized that I have a graduation party to attend the same day, again. I have had to attend 4 graduation parties on his birthday or when he planned to celebrate it in the last 7 years. If he had born in early May when he was due I wouldn't have this problem. :lmao: Fortunately this party is close by so I'll go to his party, then the graduation party, and then back to his party. He's going to be 28 and acts like he's 2 sometimes.

Oh well off to work on my pics for my TR again. Have a good day.

Happy holiday weekend Fockers! Just popping in quick, so please forgive the lack of direct replies...

I'm happy to report that Leo is on the mend! Thx for all the suggestions - some flat Pepsi, a little Gatorade with water, and later some plain toast worked their magic and he stopped feeling queasy. He's been eating yesterday and today and feels much better, though he's still pretty low on energy.

We made it to Toys R Us yesterday to spend his Bday gift card - my house is now infested with Kung Zhu hamsters. And we got to the pool for a bit this morning. Otherwise, just relaxing.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend! :grouphug:

P.S. - T: HOLY SHIZZLE! :scared1:

Hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

You too. If your weather is like ours its a great day for the boat:thumbsup2
