Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Bah... What a week. :sad2:
I'm so sorry Dawn! :hug::hug::hug:

No, Buffalo, NY. There's a district within the city called Allentown. I never bothered getting alignments there, either, lol!
I am seriously thinking of day tripping down the shore tomorrow for the beach, just to sit and relax. I want to go to Cape May Lighthouse Park for the migratory birds and some pics.
This sounds wonderful! :cloud9:

Morning! We finally got some relief with homework last night! :faint: It took a few days, but Leo's finally got rounding down, and last night was making bad phrases into good sentences... it's somewhat alarming how quickly he understood that and got the answers. Looks like I might have a mini-me on my hands; poor kid.

That's great V. But then again it just goes to show how important reviewing is:rolleyes:

I was looking at things to do besides looking at rocks on our SW vacay, and got sucked into horseback riding at Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon. I MISS riding! I'm thinking about doing some Fuzzy Math to find an extra $25 to get at least one lesson in a month as soon as temps drop some. I need my equine therapy! :cloud9:

Sounds like a great plan!

Bah... What a week. :sad2:

I am beginning to think Crystal is the only one without homework. For the week she had to make a monster project and do 1 page in the math take home book. I am hoping after the open house next week the pace will pick up. I know she's in 1st grade but seriously this is preschool stuff. It should get more interesting later. She is being taught Italian. The only Italian I know is spaghetti, lasagna, pizza and veal parmigiana. I'm not going to be a lot of help.

Last year in 1st grade, Jimmy didn't really start getting homework until the 2nd full week. Then it was a page of writing and a page of math Monday through Thursday, nothing on Friday.

. I am seriously thinking of day tripping down the shore tomorrow for the beach,

Sounds great!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Is it 4:00 yet:confused3

I saw one of my other drs yesterday and evidently I have a significant tear in my knee. That has me just a little scared.
Yikes I'm sorry

I think I am just going to rent a movie, get some chinese food and just veg:thumbsup2 ANy good recommendations for a movie to rent. I was just seeing commercials for Letters to Juliet. Anyone see that?
Nope but have fun :goodvibes

Jo don;t count me out yet !! Phil 's family live in Long Island sooo there is a possibility I can hitch a ride with him !!Of course it would mean 8 hours of being picked on:lmao::lmao::lmao:
OMG 8 hours :faint:

Wooohoooo

Then Kirt's great aunt died last night. She had stage four cancer that they just discovered in the last month. It had gotten to her brain and she had a stroke at dinner, went to sleep at the hospital and never woke up. :guilty: She has an adult son with brain damage that now the family has to figure out who will care for him.
:hug::hug::hug:

I stopped by my daughter's room to tell her I was there. The nurse/midwife said, "You're not going anywhere mom. Grab a leg, you're a stirrup." She did that with his mom also. I got to be there when Anthony was born and it was such great experience. He didn't breathe right away and I was able to keep her calm so I got to really participate.
Awwww!

Is it 4:00 yet:confused3
::yes:: :rotfl2:

The inlaws are due tomorrow so that means it's almost spa time :yay:

Hi, all!

Been reading along for the last day or two, but not quoting. Sorry. :flower3:

Anyway, sorry about Dawn's bad week, Taz's knee...

Glad about T's braces, Janet's alone time, Leo's math, and Jo's mini-break!

**************************************************
I've had a relatively busy couple of days. Yesterday was both kids' open houses in the morning - actually to be there before the actual start of school, so we all had to drive in early. Then, I had to split myself as D left yesterday at 4:00 a.m. for his long, long trip. I chose to go to Buzz's room for the "talk" as I know Woody's teacher a bit, but not really Buzz's at all. He's the guy, and he was REALLY impressive. :thumbsup2

Then, I walked with my neighbor, did some chores, took the kids to karate and the library...

Today was the volunteer coffee (at least, thankfully, AFTER the start of school,) then a walk with Tara, then the grocery, and a few more chores. My friend the NASCAR pilot is in tomorrow for the race, so she may come by here. With D gone, I'd honestly rather just go meet her for a drink (she's not in until pretty late) but we'll have to see. I'm still kind of secretly hoping it won't work out. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We have a karate "back to school" cookout tomorrow afternoon, too.

The pizza should be on its way. We borrowed the Disney animated Peter Pan from the library, so that will likely be our movie for tonight. Buzz says they've seen it, but I don't think so.

Anyway... Hope you all have a good night! :grouphug:

Evening Fockers !!The Street work continues !!I took the girls to school and couldn't get in the driveway coming back !!:scared1:Now at least they have the whole strett gradedsooo it is bumpy ( was that before ) but at least one side isn'y 9" higher than the other and even better they don't work on weekends sooo I don't have to move the car at the crack of Dawn till Monday!:banana:

Kyle is spending the weekend at my Ex's and I have a feeling he wants to come HOME !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: But the house was sooo peaceful when I came home as Mis Attitude was also NOT home so it's just me ,Judy and Samantha !!!

Checking in really quick as the inlaws are here. Everything is going well and we're off to the spa in the morning but shhhh don't tell T I haven't packed a thing  :rotfl:

Chat late Monday or probably Tuesday :wave2:

Good Evening!!!!

I am at work - SHHH, don't tell on me. It's an OT night and the computer systems are down for maintenance cause everybody knows that night shift does nothing anyway!

Let's see if I can make sense out of my notes about all you busy people....

First though, a big hug to all you moms and grandmoms!!! It's been a rough week for you all by the looks of it. I'm proud to know such a great, strong bunch of women.

:grouphug:

UPDATES:

MEL was very busy earlier in the week. I think she was out of beer too. Her pearl of wisdom for the week, "Seniors are expensive." Gus had some school issues. The WDW trip has now been extended by one day which will include tea now.

She also reports that TE has been busy at work. Her ear is working very well.

It sounds like you and Dawn will have an awesome time. You both deserve it.
30 more days for me!

ROSIE was very busy painting rocks at one point. She may have to have some surgery on the woman stuff. However, it will not hold up the WDW trip. She said Kyle doesn't like his teacher. Her road is being paved which is causing problems but needs to be done.

I hope the dr.s tell you things are good. I feel your pain with the road thing.

CE had some tennis drills with the team she probably won't even play with - and a instructor that is less than desirable. D will be gone now until Oct. 3. They had to get the boat buttoned up for winter.

I applaud you for hanging with the tennis even though it's not what it should be for you.

DAWN quit her job. Things weren't what they said they would be. Too much drama for mama. She felt bad but her gifted son, Aiden, told her he was happy to have her home which made it all better. Her daughter also found out that she gets to move into the gifted category.

You definitely did something right with your kids. Congrats!

MO stopped by before puffy goodness to say, "Hi!"

Hello!

JANETS B00Bs are good - says the scans. Jimmy had some homework drama. It seems to have been cleared up now. She got a promotion at work!

Congratulations on the promo and some extra $$$$.

V's little Leo had some school drama too. He is afraid to ask for help when he needs it. She's got him on the right track now. There were some other dramas this week for her also. She has decided to add some horseback riding to the SW trip.

I'm sorry about your week of crud. I took the intelligence test - I have none.:rotfl2: J/K, a little. Hey guess what? The artist that I used to be still exitst. I scored high on spatial and low on logic. Ah yes, I lead with my heart and feelings not with my brain.

TAZ will have to have knee surgery when she gets back from WDW. Meanwhile she will be playing with her camera and picking apples.

Good luck with everything. I like the story about your daughter.

KAT has been in the middle of kitten and apartment hell. They did go to Costco to do some shopping. Then their freezer died. They will be getting a new one from the rental peeps. Her pearl of wisdom for the week, "What is it with men?"

Yeah, guys don't do questions - ever. I can leave a sack in the middle of the kitchen floor. Mr. D will never move it or ask me why it is there. It will remain until I move it. I did this, really, just to see what would happen. 3 days later I moved the sack.

JO actually had a rubbish day of golf this week. Jess was home sick. The in-laws were there Saturday. She and Hubby will be at the spa Sun. and Mon.

Have a faulous mini-holiday.

JV said that Tink is struggling a bit in school. She has a great teacher though. DS's class was huge so they added a teacher. She is going to a Scrapfest at the Mall of America.

Hope you had fun. That's another one I need to add to the bucket list - MoA.

T will have a brace-free smile in 5 weeks. Evan has hives.
COOL! On the braces not the hives. Is he OK?

A quick update from me.

Doogles MRI was 'stable'. Not better or worse. I'm a little disappointed. I'm afraid the chemo may not be helping any more. The doctor did not say that but we've seen this before. Otherwise he is doing OK.

I got a scooter rented for WDW. I've got everthing we need bought. I've also got tip money/F&W cash all put away. I will start sorting my stuff and packing in the next week. Yep, you heard me, I'm 30 days out and starting to get organized.

It's lunch time for the night shift.
I hope everyone has a better week this week!
:goodvibes

Thanks for the update Kristel!!Glad all your plans are working out for your trip!!After Monday's Meeting I will be much more clued in to everything !! We will be in Disney in 25 days !!!!!!:banana::banana: Carol and I are botgnready for the vacation !1Work has been extremely hectic !!!!

Judy bought a new couch and love seat for the living room !!Looks really nice !! Old one was really in bad shape !! They don't build them to withstand 8 year olds and Big dogs !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:Next up is a new fridge !!I will go pick one out next week !! The store I shop at for appliances has been dealing with the family for 50 years and so give us time to pay which makes it sooo nice !!
We also could stand a new furnace after last winters break down on the bitter cold day !!Trouble is we definately can't afford it right now as Judy wants central air with the furnace !!!:scared1:Anyone know if they are cheaper to run than a bunch of window a/cs ??????

Thanks for the update Kristel! DOn't you just love when the computer systems go down..but in the same breath the higher ups will complain that no work is getting done:confused3

Hey all! Busy weekend here. Last night Jim and Jimmy had the campout. They had a ball but both of them are exhausted. Going up for bed in a few minutes. I wound up going with my neighbor friend to get something to each and watch the Phillies game.:thumbsup2 Now, where is Angela...I need to do some trash talking before the Braves come into town tomorrow;)

Today we had soccer, so I met Jim and Jimmy at the field. Got home from that about 1pm, at which time Jim realized he left his camera at the campsite. Luckily...the pack leader saw it and took it home with her so she dropped it off and all is well!:thumbsup2

I'm off, early bath and bed for Jimmy...one of the plusses of a campout! HAve a good night everyone. See you tomorrow:surfweb:

Good Morning everyone:goodvibes It's Monday:sad2:

This is going to be a busy week for us. Today Jimmy has an OT appointment so I came in at 7:30 so I could leave early to be able to pick him up and get him to hs appointment by 4:45pm.

Tomorrow night I have some of the Home and School parents coming to my house to get folders together as handouts for back to school night.

Wednesday I have a retiremtn luncheon, which actually be nice becasue it will kill alot of the afternoon:thumbsup2

Thursday is back to school night so we have to pick up the babysittera and head to school by 6:30.

Friday is the Cub SCout Popcorn Kick off and then Saturday is our first popcorn booth!

:faint: by Saturday night I will be passed out!

So, what's everyone else up too?

Morning everyone.

No kids today. :woohoo: My daughter had to go to court today. We got down there at 8:50 and at 8:55 we were on our way home. The case was postponed and no one from the DA's office called to let them know. We get to do this again in Nov or Dec now. The good thing is we were home by 11 and I have the day to myself.

I'm busy cleaning up my memory cards in preparation for my trip and going out to buy some grocery shopping but other than that nothing much going on.

Have a good day.

Morning all! What a freaking morning. Dropped Jimmy off at Before School Care and pulled out of the parking lot at 7:30 exactly. I got to work at 10 of 9:headache:They are doing some major construction on Route 1 (one of the major roads) and today in their infinite winsdom they closed Henry Avenue ( a major road and a detour for the Rte 1 construction) for MORE construction. Gotta love that stimulus money at work:sad2: Jim was late too:mad:

Then, I get her and our two most used/needed computer programs are down...which means we can get no work done. The one they told us will not be back up until 3:00pm:scared1: Yeah, I see myself leaving early today.

On a happy note I have to tell you about Jimmy's homework. Last night he has to write a couple of sentences telling about an exciting place he would like to visit and why he would like to go there. His answer = Disneyland. He made me so proud:cloud9: Jim just shook his head and said I have brainwashed him:mad:

Tonight I am meeting with the other H & S mom's to get the folderss together for Back to School Night, so I have to stop at Staples to pick up the folders.

Hope you are all having abetter morning than me. If the computer programs stay down, I will be checking in. HAve a great one everybody!

Back to Nashville today for my ear check up---appt is 9 am tomorrow so I'll be back tomorrow evening. I should have a good report---I'm hearing lots of things out of it....and reminding the kids that I'm hearing it!

My internet has been spotty lately---had the Hughes net satellite guy come and try to fix it....of course they said the satelite it's pointing to is degrading...but for $400 more they can "upgrade" me. I hate Hughes net....gonna try wireless for a bit, but they have caps on usage so that may kill us. PLEASE VOTE FOR EXPANDED BANDWIDTH FOR RURAL AREAS! That is....if it ever comes up for a vote!

Hey Janet, are you busy?????:rotfl:
I guess I jinxed you with the computer stuff. Get this when ours came back on-line, I was locked out. My credintials were not valid!:rotfl2: Of course it's a weekend when they do these things and no IT is around. I had to wait until Monday to get back into the system.
Jimmy's homework answer was wonderful. Way to go Jimmy!!!!
Jim was fortunate that someone noticed that camera!

I hear about that all the time on the court stuff. Doogles has a friend that has to go to represent a business that he works for. It's such a waste of time but what are you going to do.

I'm glad you got a break!!! Now get back to packing!

I'm so happy that your hearing is doing well. Mel gave us an update while you were busy.

I'm glad you said something about Hughes. That would be my only alternative out here in the boonies. It would actually cost me about the same monthly as the phone co. but I wouldn't have to have a land line. Actually the internet is fine it's just the idea of having to pay for all the other crap that I don't need. I guess I should call them and see what I can get rid of. They are all a bunch of scam artists that are out of control.

:rotfl2: That was very funny. I hope Mel sees it!

I had a surprise visit today from the STATE:scared1:Tomorrow the whole platoon of them will be in!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:This is a required thing every couple of years but it is quite the ordeal !!!So need lots of good vibes :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibesWill let ya knoiw how it went tomorrow !!!:scared1:

Hi Kristel and Rosie :wave2:

Morning all:goodvibes It's Wednesday:yay: Jimmy has a therapist appointment today but other than that nothing on the agenda. COmputers are working again so now I have to do yesterdays work, so I can get todays work done:sad2:

Homework was a fight again last night:headache: Phillies won:yay: and I am tired becasue I stayed up too late watching the Phillies game. I'm tired!

Not much else happening here. Hope you all have a Happy Wednesday...Hump Day:woohoo: Chat with you later:hug:
