Oooh TE just remembered meant to say Deb is in France, it was on here you asked wasn't it? :rotfl2:

No.......at least not in the afternoon!

Wow---maybe you should be our TFW :laundy: expert! We can ship it all to you!

No thanks..I have enough of my own.

Really?? I'll have to check it out sometime--maybe I would get in free there too! (but now you sceered me with the murder stuff  )
I haven't been to Philly since we lived in CT and used to drive down to take AE to Sesame Place! Is that still there?
Yep. We have season passes to Sesame Place, which are also goo for admission to Sea World:cool1:

Uh......... would that be the rare Native Virginian Crocodile???:rotfl2: He would freeze up in the winter!
Thankfully, no! I don't think North America even has crocs, just alligators. We'll have to ask Tracy, our croc expert.

Hey they have Crocs up here, don't you have a zoo:rotfl: :rotfl:

Good guesses, but they actually raise fish in the pond to eat! Jefferson's idea. And they are pretty big fish for the size of the pond.

Those fish are for the crocs to eat;)

Ok--trivia time-do you know what Monticello means??

Monticello is the estate of Thomas Jefferson located near Charlottesville, Virginia. The house, of Jefferson's own design, is situated on the slope of a small hill (his "monticello") in the Southwest Mountains south of the Rivanna Gap. An image of the west front of Monticello is featured on the reverse of the 5 cent coin of the United States of America, and on the version of the back side of the two dollar bill that was printed from 1928 to 1966.

I Know way to much of an answer but really it just means Little Mountain As stated by NancyG

Hi everyone I am now germ free and catching up on all my work and posts. I am so far behind here. I so love you guys but you move way to fast for me when I am ill. So I will get back in the swing of things soon. Did I miss TE's trip report? I will scroll back and check. Talk to you all later.

Monticello- little mountain
:woohoo: Yea! 20 Focker points for you!!

I also learned that the bigger hill near the house is called Mont-Alto and it means big mountain.
BA said "if he wanted to see some mountains, he should have come to where we live now!"

She really enjoyed the tour, and she asked some questions that I thought was well beyond her years such as "If he really believed that all men were created equal, then why did he have 150 slaves??'

And "if he believed you should never spend more money than you have, then why does the sign say that he died owing lots of money??"

We had an interesting discussion on the way home--and I lliked that.....we also discussed the Harry Potter movie, and I liked that too!!

that SOUNDS right to me. Is that a guess or did you know that?

Beautiful pic by the way
Thanks!

Oooh you'd love it here at the moment all the big museums are free, Natural History, Science Museum in London etc And the Natural History is an amazing building :goodvibes

:rotfl2:

But TE how am I supposed to know which ones you without your fanny pack  :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:
Wow--I'd love to see London--I've never flown that far so would probably need lots of medication! DH goes there every other year (to Farnborough ?? Air Show) so maybe sometime I'll over-medicate and join him!

I did love the Smithsonians in DC last year--and was surprised that they were free. The new (er) Indian museum was fascinating for all of us--and great food.

Oooh TE just remembered meant to say Deb is in France, it was on here you asked wasn't it? :rotfl2:
I think I've asked on several threads--when is she back?

Yep. We have season passes to Sesame Place, which are also goo for admission to Sea World:cool1:
I love Sea World--used to go to the one in San Antonia a lot and feed the dolphins!:goodvibes

Those fish are for the crocs to eat;)
Oh--now it makes sense!! I'm so glad I have you folks here to educate me and all!

Yep--go back and read it--you'll feel better!

Hey!

Not that I'm that important or anything, but just wanted to say "Bye!" before we leave on our big Midwest driving extravaganza. I am taking my computer, but the internet access may be spotty (I think our first stop is dial up, my mom's wireless is having issues...) I will probably try to keep up reading but not do a lot of posting...

Anyway, wish me luck... A total of 45 hours in the car, in-laws with issues, and the kids... :scared1:

See y'all later!

Hey guys!

I'm packing up the computer soon and wont be around for about a wek-ish!

I'll miss you all and talk to you guys as soon as I can!

Hey--jot some notes down and take some pics of your trip and do a mini TR when you get back! It's really fun--I found myself thinking "now that would be a funny picture for TFW!"

Yeah, this is what I get too.:sad2: There has been no indication of when it is going to be fixed and no posts about upcoming chats.
Grr...I have no response from either the moderators or Webmaster.... Don't they know who I am??:rotfl2:

One of those useless pieces of info that I hoped would be useful on Jeopardy or Who Wants to be a Millionaire, but you guys will do:thumbsup2 !
:thumbsup2

Dang------everyone's going away.......well, good luck moving and get that computer hooked up ASAP!

WOOHOO!:woohoo:

2 for 3! I missed posting about the pond but would have guessed a mama duck and her ducklings
I think the crocodile ate the ducks or else George Washington shot them.......

TE I really don't know when Debs back she seems to have been gone for ages :confused3
Hmm........should we do a rescue mission to France?? We'll have to search through EVERY boutique and restaurant, AND go up the Eiffel tower just to find her!
But that's our commitment to our fellow TFW members!
