Hey TE you had to wait 2 hours for 1? I was just walking out and they were just there and they asked me if I wanted any for my grandkids( I kinda live at Walmart ) so they gave me 3 for each kid a green a yellow and a blue!! and the week before I got the High School Musical lanyards!!

No--you got a bracelet when you walked in the door Friday night--the house indicated the order that you would be in the line for the book (which started at 12:01 am).
After we all got books, they were giving out leftover bracelets/posters, but I was tired, and since none of my kids waited with me, I figured that the bracelet and book were mine first!

When AE was 3, her dad took her on a Ferris Wheel. I got so afraid for her that I screamed until the operator stopped it. The other riders were not happy and neither was my husband.......
Later on, when she was 10--he took her on the TX state fair wheel (it is huge--makes you dizzy looking up at it)--he made me promise not to stop it!

Wildwood is one of longest beaches to get too. Becasue of erosion, etc it is almost 1 mile at certain points to get from the start of the beach to the water. It was great though.

Jo, heard about the flooding. Hope all is well with you and your family.

Well, I'm glad you were talking about the beach then--somehow when I hear "wide and white" it sounds like me trying to sunbathe at the beach!

It's rainy here today too--but everyone says "I'm not complainin' cause Lord knows we need it" so I'm not complaining.........even though I had to stand out in it for 1 hour while my horses got shoes...

DH and I were just talking about going back after we come back from Disney. My BIL and SIL will be there for the week before labor day. I am not a beach person, but DS loves it....

See Mom and my oldest brother love the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, you might say it is their second home.

My 73 yo Mom gets free tix to a Billy Joel concert for last night. This was a concert you could not by tix for, it was for Borgata regulars only.

There was a FREE bar and from what I am hearing Mom was drunk on Apple martini's. Apparently she had a great time and is now a big Billy Joel fan (she didn't even know who he was a couple of weeks ago.

And I am taking her to WDW in February, I can't wait to see her at Biergarten

Oh Mo, please bring her in Oct, I would love to meet her and hang out for a night. She sounds like the life of the party.

Hi all. I tried to post from the hospital while there with my mom but I couldn't pick up a wireless network. It turned out you need to push a button on the computer to turn on the wireless internet. If only Rose had been around to tell me how it worked. So out of desperation and boredom I started to write a book critiquing the meals from the cafeteria. If only I had had my camera to take pics. I could turn it into a coffee table book.
So all is well with my mom now. She went in and they put a stint(sp?) in her heart. They said it was a 75% blockage and caused a big part of her heart to not work. This explains her breathing problems and hopefully this is the end of it all.

Sorry you couldn't DIS--it does relieve stress and boredom--2 things common at hospitals!
I'm glad her stent procedure went well--make sure she takes whatever blood thinner they prescribe (Plavix, Coumadin, aspirin) daily and she should certainly watch her diet closely as she won't want to repeat this very often!

They put her on Plavix and aspirin. She is doing quite well and went back to work already. The hardest part for her was laying flat on her back for 12 hours. I stayed and spoon fed her her meals till she could sit up. We really liked this hospital and her and I decided it is were we want to go for her next colonoscopy.
