Yep, everyone around here has them on the weekend. We are having ours June 7th!:thumbsup2 I have a TON of stuff. The shed and the garage are full. I have all of Jimmy's baby things, stroller, car seats, etc. that I am hoping to make some $ on:thumbsup2
That's Waldo's birthday! :cake:
Yeah I keep meaning to hack into your photobucket account and delete that :rotfl2:
:lmao: I've decided it's going to be the front page of our Focker newletter.
There are games?!?!?! :faint: I'm having it at a local park with a BIG playground. Party's 3 hours long - I figured I'd let them play on the playground for 45 minutes or so, eat pizza, eat cake, play some more whilst I clean up, open presents, then kick 'em all out. ;)
No games? :eek: Oh boy you're in trouble. :rotfl2:
I feel like their display taunts me...."Hey you! Look at our fake b-o-o-b-s. Aren't they great? Don't you wish you could have this cute bra? Ok, go across the hallway now. Your granny store is right over there"! :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just realized I haven't provided any updates since my initial freakout regarding Leo's Bday party RSVPs....

Well, as of today, 6 of the twelve invited have replied "Yes"! Leo's pretty stoked. I'm a tad apprehensive. Remember me, Mom of the Year? I do all right with my own guy, but I'm no good when it comes to other kids. I'm not mean or anything, I just never know what to say/do with them. I was an only child, I never babysat - I have no idea what I'm doing! :rotfl: I'm hoping some parents stay and don't just drop-off.
Yeah the replies are coming in :thumbsup2

I think my training bra was a 38C LOL. Put it this way, they called me "F-Troop" during my wrestling days. Lovely huh?:sad2:
:eek: :rotfl2:

Is that English for "Power outage"?!? :rotfl:
::yes:: :rotfl2:

WHAT?? Does that make any sense? The empty boxes are memories not to be sold?? So we should keep them? :confused3
Doesn't make sense to me either Brandy :rotfl2:

:lmao: I've decided it's going to be the front page of our Focker newletter.
WHAT :eek: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Oh V! You're doomed!
Ya think? :rotfl2:

...and the best part.. no matter how big they are... NO BRA !!!:woohoo: They will stay ...like a Good Collie !!!:woohoo:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See! WE have a PLAN people!!! :lmao: I am planning on May 22, 23, 24th. I know that probably sounds weird to some of you, but weekday garage sales are the norm here. Growing up (on the East Coast) NO ONE had garage sales any day but Sat or Sun....strange? :confused3
Here most are Thu, Fri, Sat or Fri, Sat. I have had mine open on a Sun and no one showes up. This year mine will be on Thur, Fri, Sat. I just can't decide which Thu, Fri, and Sat.

Once they start playing they will not even give you a second look until they need food.

We handed out candy in January when on 80 degree days. As long as backpack was out of the sun, most of the candy did fine. We include a note like, "A bit of Pixie Dust to thank you for making our trip more magical. Have a great day! From the Dunbar Family, enjoying Wilderness Lodge (or wherever we're staying) January 17-22." Then I include our email address. I put about 4-5 Kisses in a snack size Ziploc. We hand them out to just about any CM. We aim to hand out about 10-15/day. My favorites are handing them to the janitors. They are so under-appreciated. Sometimes they don't speak English well, so I've learned to say thank you in Mandrain and Spanish. They are always really surprised, and it makes my day to pass the magic along. My kids love to hand them out too, even the three year old. One CM almost cried and said no one ever has said thanks in 10 years. :sad2:
I may try this then. I could freeze them the night before. Will that help anyone think or just make the chocolet turn a funny color. We freeze candy before the Easter Egg hunt and it is always fine but sometimes it turns a little white. Does that make sence.

:lmao: :lmao:

Here's our conversation about the empty watch boxes....

Me: "Why? Why do you keep these?"
Jeff: "The watches will be more valuable someday if they have the boxes."
Me: "Fine. Do you plan on selling them"?
Jeff: "No, of course not. These are my memories. Would you sell your memories"?

WHAT?? Does that make any sense? The empty boxes are memories not to be sold?? So we should keep them? :confused3 Like I said earlier, whatever. I'll never figure him out. :headache: He also has all of the orginal boxes from his Legos for the same reason. The Legos are set up in a town, complete with a nice display table.
Makes sense to me. Sorry to side with him on this but I love my collections.

Playground....you will have smooth sailing. They will just want to run around! HAlf the time they won't eat anything anyway. How about a pinata or something?

Hi everyone, were back from WDW and back to reality....and it sucks:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Hope everyone is doing well, I have attempted to catch up but thats not going so well:rotfl2: you are all a chatty bunch.

Well I got home from class tonight with a great idea from my teacher. Her son's PTO is doing some special things for teachers this week to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. They are putting different candies in the teacher mail boxes each day. Today was M&M with a note saying Marvelous and Magnificent. I was inspired. I stopped at the store on the way home, bought bags of KISSES and HUGS, put them in some tulle bags,and attached a poem. The poem reads:
For everything you do
Hugs and kisses for you
I am going to sneak them into the boxes tomorrow morning so non of the teachers see me:ssst: . It is a small school so I was able to do ones for all the teachers and my dd's teachers. She won't do the poem. It is cute in elementary but not 11th grade:lmao: .
Then I finished some homework and wanted to post to all of you a good night.
I am totally stealing oh I mean borrowing this idea.Thanks for sharing it.(and remimding me about teacher appreciation week too)

Morning, all! :wave2:
hey CE, How was your trip???

Hi girls...
I'm kind of in a sad mood today. My mom was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension about a month ago. I had read up on it a bit, but not a lot because I like to be a positive person and I didn't know to what extent she has it. After her heart cath last month, she said it was mild. I thought that sounds "not too bad", but she's been acting weird.
She's been extra nice, and non-judmental (She's usually pretty hard to take some days). She came to stay over a week or two ago and hang with the kids and me. While it was just DH and I she said she felt the need to clean her house out so we wouldn't have to do it. I thought it was weird, but sometimes she can be dramatic, you know? :confused3
So, finally last night she tells me that her life expectancy is 2-5 years. :sad1: She told me that the disease is fatal and she thought I knew that. I knew something was up. :guilty:
I'm sad today, but I can't talk about it with the kids, because it's silly to worry them. I just pushed it out of my mind last night because it was late when we talked. but today it's getting to me.
I haven't spoken to my dad in years, and my relationship with my brother is really only there because of my mom... I feel like I'm losing my family. :sad1: I just want to cry.

Sorry to be a downer, but I kow this is a safe place I can say what I want and not worry about who I'm talking to getting upset too.
:grouphug: Thanks for listening... :sad1:
:hug: :hug: I am so sorry Dawn.

Morning everyone!

Hope everybody is having a great day! I am doing NOTHING today. I need a day of nothing.
Oh a day of nothing sound sooo good.

Oh and yeah I have played golf today :rotfl:
Glad some things havent changed in a week:rotfl2:

All you need is the playground, you prob will have a hard time getting them away from there to eat. Your good as gold.

OK I need to find out what happened with the pool and jumping backwards, I hope your not referring to Leo:eek:

EDIT----I went back to see Leo split his chin...OMG .I am glad he is ok. I too am a VERY PANIKY mom. Thats what I do best

hey CE, How was your trip???

Hi, T2! Welcome home! :goodvibes

The trip was very nice, which is good for my stress levels, but bad for storytelling! :rolleyes1

The only thing that was even slightly weird was that you know how I said we always are hungry there? So I took lots of snacks...

Well, we came back from a boat ride around 6:00 one night, and dinner still needed cooking, so we got the snacks out.

My MIL: "Well, I was going to put out appetizers, but apparently you just want pretzels."

Mind you, her "appetizers" were a tiny bowl of carrots and celery, nuts (which I hate and the boys won't eat) and chilled shrimp (which BIL, SIL, boys and I all hate). The carrots were gone in minutes, though. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We can't win.

:rotfl:

I have been hard at work on my TR....I have a bunch of new update coming in the next week or so. I'm going to leave them for every other day or so, so that people can keep up. Thats all I did today, and reheat pasta. Go me for the day of nothing! I'm just waiting for KC to come home now so I finally have someone to talk to (besides the cat) :rotfl:

Hey T2!!!

Welcome back! Now link us up to the TR!

...you have started it right????
...cause you know it's a Focker tradition to start your TR BEFORE you start your laundry!

...emailing you Dawn. :hug:

Well as Rosie noticed I've been MIA since Sunday, we went out for the day yesterday (it was a National holiday here for May Day) we went to the RHS gardens at Wisley, very pretty place but as we went with my DSis and her 2 babies it wasn't exactly a peaceful day! Anyway when we got home we had a power cut, I thought oh it doesn't matter my laptop will work, well it did but for the internet to work the modem has to be plugged in :mad: :rotfl2: The power was only off for 15 minutes and I managed to get our dinner cooked when it went off again this time for about 4 hours :faint: By the time it came back on it was bed time anyway!!!!!

Oh and yeah I have played golf today :rotfl:

Jo you know I think your the BESTEST!!:grouphug: See a day without Jo is like a day without sunshine !! Oh I forgot I'm not the Official Suck up !!:rotfl2:

Just popping in to say goodnight!

We just got back from taking our son, two of his friends, our daughter, and the baby to ice hockey. The big boys play spring league. Let's just say that three overtired 6 year olds think EVERYTHING is funny! If I hear this conversation again, "You're a big poopy head"! "Oh yeah? You're a big, slimmy, hairy booger" again, I'll sign up for the funny farm!

In case you're curious, it takes 20 minutes for two adults to get three little boys dressed in hockey gear, especially when we have to keep going after our newly-running toddler, who is already an expert escape artist. Note to self: make sure all three boys go potty BEFORE dressing them in gear. If one has to go, they all magically have to go. And then, make sure protective undergarment is not pinching anything before dressing them the rest of the way.

Someday, when I'm old and I have blue hair and I'm laying on a beach somewhere with Pedro fetching me drinks and I'm watching my husband trying to catch a whale, I'm going to think this is funny, right?!?!?

Just an FYI or PSA:

Over on the dining plan thread, two people have posted that the info they received about the ddp says that app and tip are included. Of course the doubting thomas' have shown up saying "don't hold your breath." :rolleyes: But anyhow, should be interesting.

I feel for you. I have twin 6 year old boys. This is my life right now. :rotfl:

I hope that is true... I bet they got alot of complaints.. we'll have to wait and see

Hi everyone, were back from WDW and back to reality....and it sucks:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah I am already DREADING that feeling:sick:
We LEAVE for the WORLD in 41 days.. and I am wishing I had put it off till August or July again ( yeah I know.. the HEAT!! :faint:) It is as close as adults can get to that "waiting for Christmas" feeling we had as a child.
At least 1/4 and maybe as much as 1/2 the fun of Disney... is the waiting.. Then there is the "IM TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP" :hyper: :banana: :banana: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: Feeling the night before.

Maybe we can slip in a last minute trip later. Now where can I get some cash ???? Hmmm... :scratchin:...... :idea: .......... ;)

Morning, Rosie! :goodvibes

~~~~~~~~~~
Morning, all!
TE, the white glove delivery of the TV went really well. They had two guys and a dolly, and they brought it in, got it out of the box and onto the stand, and then turned it on to be sure it was functional.
Here's the final deal:
We're really pleased! The frosted glass was a bit of a worry with the electronic displays behind them, but they're very lightly frosted and I can read the clock, channels, etc. easily through the glass. :thumbsup2 We like these feet a lot better than what came with it, and though we will still need to find a permanent solution for the center speaker (that's the silver bit sitting ON the TV stand) we'll likely try to hang it on the wall.
This unit, though nearly a foot wider, feels less bulky to me, since it doesn't block up the wall. :thumbsup2 It's also less deep, so we have a few more inches of floor space. :banana:
Morning all.
CE - The TV and stand look fabulous:thumbsup2
Hope you all have a good day. I am at work, as usual, and my big project for today is cleaning/organizing the supply room.:sad2:
CE~ That's really nice. I love Ikea. I can do some serious damage in that store. Good thing the closest one is in Atlanta or I'd be living in one of those flat cardboard boxes they package all their stuff in :laughing:
