Cousin Ernie was Pigeon Forge, he came to live with Lucy and Ricky for a few episodes, they couldn't get rid of him.

One episode they pretended to be to poor to keep, then another Ricky planted a bus ticket to Pigeon Forge for Ernie to find.

BTW, I am a huge Lucy fan!!!!!

Anyone catch Disney's Royal Treatment on the travel channel last night? We were watching and Maddie noticed her Fairy Godmother in Training on the show during the BBB part. Here's a picture of her with Maddie:

I hadn't seen it yet... thank goodness you mentioned it so I can set my DVR tonight so I can see it :thumbsup2

:goodvibes
So to keep myself busy I'm cooking all day...fun huh? I enjoy cooking when I can do it at my own pace. I'm making homemade sauce for baked ziti tonight and then I'm making oatmeal/cranberry/raisin cookies. At least th ziti will make it so I don't have to cook for the rest of the weekend...I can't see making small portions when its that much work! :)
Sounds good Kat, enjoy

Who Me ?? :rolleyes1 I AM NOT the only one guilty here.
But you start it, LY/MI :hug: :rotfl2:

Well .. I have written a couple of stories that I tell to Sarabeth.. and I have a book started called "When you can't make dust"
It is a serious book.. Religious.. but I have not added to it in a couple of years.
Well get writing girlie :thumbsup2

I hear ya, V. I'm supposed to working on my Halitosis project. I suppose I am working on it, as it's 10am and I haven't brushed yet! :crazy2: Ewwww!!! BRB, gotta go brush! :lmao:
TFS :scared: :rotfl2:

:eek: 65 is still sweater weather here, Jo! :lmao:
Not for me it wouldn't be, we'd be swimming :rotfl2:

Awww... cute! I love baby-speak. Evan used to call them ducks, but with an "f" instead of "d" :eek: !
:lmao:
Ellie used to sing baa baa black ****, we used to go to a Church toddler group and she used to sing it in front of the vicar :rotfl2:

AND MY FURNITURE IS HERE!!!! THE SOFA, LOVESEAT AND CHAIR PART ANYWAY!

Do y'all say sofa or couch? I say both, I think....
Wooohoooo and I say settee :rotfl2:

As it was so nice we went for an hours walk after our meal, we happened to go via a supermarket and bought ice creams :rotfl:

Sauce is simmering. Cookies are baking. They came out yummy! I never made oatmeal before and I am trying to go for a less fat cookie to bake and they are yummy and not too bad for you. Thank you allrecipes.com! :goodvibes

I say sofa and couch, BTW.

:thumbsup2 I'll keep my eyes out for the episode--I would enjoy it!
My grandparents are big Andy Griffith fans--they live in Mt Airy (which is Mayberry) and there's a lot of show related stuff there.

Wooohoooo and I say settee :rotfl2:
....rolling eyes.......... ;)

Do you really say that or are you just trying to sound sophisticated?? :snooty: :lmao:

me too.........and I wanna cookie!

Tanning beds--Ab has been going this week as she has her high school beauty pageant next Sat. Remember, we are whiter than sour cream
:lmao: That's funny!

The only other thing I can recommend is Aloe vera gel - put it in the fridge and when it's cold, put on the burned area.

Do y'all say sofa or couch? I say both, I think....
Waldo says sofa, TE (NOMINNIE) says couch, so I use both. My grandmother used to call it a davenport?? WTH is a davenport? :confused3
BTW, I am a huge Lucy fan!!!!!
Me too! Another reason why I love ya! :hug:
There used to be a HUGE Lucy store at Universal Studios. It's gone now, but was my favorite store! :cloud9:

No we do call them settee's over here, we also say sofa though :thumbsup2

Tomorrow I have a busy day, Church in the am as Ellie's in choir and Jess wants to go to Sunday club. I then have a golf competition at 2pm, it's a mixed knockout foursomes, basically I partner a man and we play alternate golf shots, we play against another pair who we will hopefully beat to get to the next round :thumbsup2 I'm partnering my golfing friends DH, I've only met him for about 1 minute and never played golf with him so it should be interesting :rotfl2: We're then getting Chinese takeaway for tea so I don't have to cook :thumbsup2

I didn't realise it got censored :rotfl2: it was baa baa black s hit instead of sheep:rotfl2:

Uh Huh.. :rolleyes1 I Hint at things.. but Jo just comes right out with it:rotfl2:
Guess that makes us equal.

I really do need to finish the book.. then look for a publisher. It all surrounds Christians bearing fruit and WHAT TYPE do we bear.. Plump sweet and delicious, small shriveled, Green and Bitter, Rotten, or when squeezed is the only thing we have come out is "Dust"

Well.. IT's almost "Derby Time" gotta go watch the ponies take a lap.

Good night Jo.

Well ,its hard to sit here.I started going to a tanning bed and have burnt my bum.:sad2:
Ugh - BT/DT. :headache:
How long till it's all over V??? You can do it :thumbsup2
Ober, as in degree in hand? I seme to have blocked it out of memory, but I think roughly another year and a half. TOO long.:sad2:

I'm making homemade sauce for baked ziti tonight and then I'm making oatmeal/cranberry/raisin cookies.
OMG, you're making me drool Kat!!!
RACES.... HEY.. IT'S KENTUCKY DERBY DAY!!!!!:woohoo: :yay:
Darnit - I was out shopping and didn't get back in time. Was it good? I love the Derby. :guilty:

Hmm, how quickly some Fockers are forgotten
Yeah, but think... did we ever actually Fock each other? Only my mother holding the camera! :rotfl:

Hey, is boysmom back yet? I can't remember her dates...

She was really itching last nite and I bought her solarcaine. Anything else she can do? (Luckily she had on undies!)
Solarcaine is my go-to for sunburn - and like T said, Aloe Vera gel is great, but make sure it's pure aloe and no alcohol or it'll jsut make her poor skin more dry.
Ellie used to sing baa baa black ****, we used to go to a Church toddler group and she used to sing it in front of the vicar :rotfl2:
:scared1: Oh Jo, the mental image of this is too much! :rotfl2:

My grandmother used to call it a davenport?? WTH is a davenport? :confused3
:lmao: So did my great-grandma!

Does anyone else think this sounds a bit... dirty???!!! :rotfl2: J/K Jo!

I didn't realise it got censored :rotfl2: it was baa baa black s hit instead of sheep:rotfl2:
uh...yeah....we figured it out.....but thanks for explaining! ;)
:lmao: That's funny!

I have no idea...wait-- I googled it and this is what came up: Davenport University prepares students for the most in-demand, fastest-growing careers in business, health and technology. Quality, career-oriented academic programs are offered through our main campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan, multiple locations in Michigan and northern Indiana, and online.

Who knew??:confused3

no, V----I have no idea what you mean! :rotfl:

Darnit - I was out shopping and didn't get back in time. Was it good? I love the Derby. :guilty:

Oh come on .. I thought the world stopped when THE DERBY was on.. Well it does in Kentucky..

It was a great race The favorite won "Big Brown".. running from the LAST POST #20
Not since the late 1920's has a horse won from the Auxilaries.
He came from 5th place back .. coming down the stretch ... and TOOK OFF !!
Beating #2 by almost 5 length's. BTW the Second place horse was a Philly
GO GIRL GO !!:cheer2: "Eight Belles" however had to be put down.. she broke both of her front ankles AFTER the race.. I still have not found footage of her fall.
What a shame.. she gave a great race.. then gave her life.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Well we had a busy weekend. Last night we went to the carnival. It's a small one, but the kids had a ball. TOday we went to Camden, NJ and saw the Backyardigan's Live on Stage. Again the kids had a ball. THe kids that are with us are my girlfriend Denise and her 2 kids, who are coming to WDW in August with us.

The show was awful. The characters had real faces. I was expecting full costumes like you see at WDW or Sesame Place. Kids enjoyed it though.

Well I'm back and caught up here are my comments !..
DN used to say F**kle for fudsicle :rotfl2:
I love:love: Lucy too!!
Ask Jo what "Pouffe " means??:confused3

Almost had to stay overnight at work , the joys of being the supervisor!!:scared1:

So there I was on TFW 3 and I was happy that I only missed 3 pgs only to find out that TFW 4 has been started and I've missed 26 pgs .

Thank God I'm not the only one. :hug: :rotfl2:

Sorry CE I did mean to PM you as you were away

No worries! :) Thanks for thinking of me back on page 11!

CE---welcome back---dang it---did u go to Dollywood? I would have loved to meet u in person. Ab is in Pigeon Forge this weekend.

We didn't go. :(

The only nice day we had on vacation was Wed., which was supposed to be Dolly day, but we decided not to drive the 3 hours round trip when we were going to be driving 16 hours the next day, so we just went on the boat. :rolleyes:

I love how kids do that... forest (DS12) used to do the same with fire trucks ... :lmao: our favorite however was his version of helecoptor...

Ho doctor

My kids had the most interesting thing with firetrucks as well... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Welcome, new Fockers! Really, I'm usually here a lot, but I was in TN because of NH's school April break. :thumbsup2 I'm CE. I grew up in IL, but live in NH now. I have newly-6-year-old boy twins, and I stay home with them for now. My DH is a pilot, so I'm home by myself a lot, but I know that I have nothing to complain about compared to the single or military parents. :goodvibes
So, we drove 16 straight hours Thursday so we could be sure to be home for the t-ball parade yesterday evening. Yeah, it was 45 and raining. Boy, was I happy we made it back. :rolleyes: :rotfl2:
The boys were supposed to have the first game then, this morning, but the other team wimped out and didn't stay for the 45 degree rain, :rotfl2: so we had practice instead. We then spent all afternoon still looking for an entertainment center.
TE, love yours! We can't have up and around because of the windows. :)
Anyway, trying to find one with enough room for the center speaker, 3 components and maybe a touch of DVD storage has been a total nightmare, and D is completely frustrated and mad. We may make the 1 1/2 hour one-way trek to Ikea tomorrow, as we are nearly giving up on the DVD storage, so we can get something for the components and then a new matching case for the DVD's. (We have all Ikea in the family room except for the sofa.)
This all came up, btw, because of course when we ordered the TV from amazon.com, they were out of stock. I happened to check D's e-mail in TN on Monday and it showed it shipped, but with a delivery of 5/7. Great.
I checked our voicemail at home on Wed. and there was a nice lady wanting to bring the TV on Thursday. As in two days ago. "Um, we're not home, can we make it Tuesday?" which was fine, but we are now scrambling for furniture. Ugh. Worst case, we can use our old coffee table in the meantime, but really.
I'll post a mini-TR here in a bit. We're desperately trying to catch up on our DVR shows, as we need a new cable/DVR box for the HD tv, and so we'll have to give up our box with weeks of shows on it! :rotfl:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A few more replies...

Kat, sorry about your mom, lovely picture, many hugs to you.:hug:

V, the story about your headache and Leo was the cutest ever. :goodvibes

Jo, hope Ben's even better and hooray to Ellie and of COURSE I would have jumped on the panning. :rolleyes1

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, and I have to share my birthing story, though I'm days late.
The boys were 9/11 babies - D was piloting and stranded for days, when he got back I was most happy to see him. :rolleyes1 So, they were due in June.
My doctors kept telling me that we'd be happy to get me to late May, 36 weeks.
D's birthday is 4/26, so hugely pregnant at 7 months with twins, I got him tix to our first Red Sox game for his birthday. His bro and the bro's GF lived in MA at the time, too, so I got the four of us tix.
I made it through the game, had a hot dog and two sips of beer, then we went back to BIL's apt. for me to pee and be ready to drive the 45 minutes back up to our house.
We joked that it was a full moon, and I said that I fully expected to go into labor at the next full moon, 5/25 (my mom's b-day). We looked at the calendar. We laughed.
My water broke. :upsidedow
I called the dr., who said "Get to a hospital!" As it happened, BIL's girlfriend was studying for her doctorate at a joint Harvard/Mass General Hospital program, so we went to Mass General. (MGH.)
This was roughly 11:00 pm - they tried to stop my labor for 48 hours to get the steroid shot for the babies' lungs to have a chance to work, but any longer was impossible because the water had broken so infection could set in.
By 8:00 the next morning, the next shift of dr.'s had come on - none of them mine, of course, as I was 45 minutes from home - and they decided that though I wasn't dilated, I'd been contracting so much that waiting was impossible (thank goodness, because I was miserable all night in pain) and so they stopped the "stopping" drugs.
By 10:00 I asked if we could check if I was to 3 cm's to get the epidural. Turns out I was fully dilated - had gone through transition, etc. with no drugs - and they then had to completely freak out and scramble to get NICU teams (2, for twins) an OR (they were head down, but no guarantee #2 wouldn't flip once 1 came out) and an epidural (in case of emergency c-section) done before they let me push.
Yeah.
Woody came at 11:14 4 lb. 3 oz., after pushing for maybe 15 minutes. Buzz was 4 minutes later at 3 lb. 10 oz. - I wasn't contracting that much, but I wasn't waiting! :rotfl:
Woody ended up in hospital for 5 weeks, learning to eat and breathe at the same time, and Buzz for 8 as he developed a nasty intestinal infection that required surgery. That was AWFUL. We had moved them up to our local hosp. at 4 days, but then Buzz wound up back in Boston for the surgery and recovery, so we had kids in two hospitals 45-60 minutes apart, for weeks and weeks.
But, they're good now, and Buzz (the "sick" one at birth) is at the 95th percentile now for his age as far as size, and they are developmentally awesome. :goodvibes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm of course still really trying to catch up on threads, etc. but the TV watching is also imperative before Monday. :rolleyes: D flies on Wed., so the end of the week will be good for me, DIS wise. :goodvibes

I'm so glad to be back! :grouphug:

OH, CE! They were so little :hug: What an awful feeling to not be near home and to not have your regular dr. I can't imagine.:sad2:

And Janet! Love the pictures!

:goodvibes
